Penalties and Cards

Strange tbh, and just wondering if anybody else is noticing this

But in my game, when a penalty is awarded, no card is ever given... regardless of if it should or shouldn't

I've seen some quite obvious red card penalties (behind tackle without touching ball with attacker having clear shot on goal) that haven't even gotten a reprimand from the ref

And I'm not just meaning when the AI fouls my players for penalties, but also when my players commit the fouls

I've seen the occasional yellow card.

But have you ever seen a penalty conceded by a goalkeeper, or a goalkeeper get sent off? I haven't, which is odd considering the amount of times it happens IRL.

I am annoyed at the amount of penaltes given during corners/free kicks while the ball is in the air. Many given for tripping.

@lonestar: Personally I've not had this happen that often, usually ones I see are clear penalties, but I've not once seen a card handed out for a penalty directly (I say directly, because I'm sure I've seen a yellow handed out for arguing after a penalty has been given)

I've only ever seen one penalty + red card (naturally it was my player). Generally is yellow or nothing for fouler and as mentioned sometimes yellow for complainer.

Just the last game I played my striker went clean through, got hacked down from behind - penalty and a red card. Doesn't seem to happen too often though.

However, still disappointed how red cards are often not being handed out when they should be

I've had players sent off for giving a penalty away.

3 seasons done; seen plenty of penalties, but if I've seen a single red card handed out for giving one away, I can't remember it. Nearly always a yellow, rarely nothing, never a red.

I will say that there are far more reds in my game for elbows to the face than for hacking a guy down from behind, which seems odd considering I'd imagine the reverse is true IRL.
