Clintito
Just wanted to say that I just installed the latest patch and now it s telling me that my trial period is over and I need to input my cd key in again which is a big pain in the butt because I purchased/downloaded the game from steam and don t have my cd key at the moment. I ve written a letter to steam requesting that my cd key be sent to me but it s a big pain in the butt as I have purchased the product and have been using it for two months. Next time you make a patch allow validly purchased and activated products to continue to run as being activated as it can be a huge frustration if they need to be reactivated. Vic Taylor
How about asking for help instead of going off on one?
Tubey84
Hence why I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever use Steam. Don't know what's wrong with the "old fashioned" way of owning the data on a disc myself. Sorry to hear of your misfortune

Clintito
If anyone else ever has this problem you can delete all local content and redownload the game from steam, it will work fine.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Steam updates automatically therefore he didn't need to download or apply a patch. By doing so he created a problem of his own making. WeeScotsPaul
If anyone else ever has this problem you can delete all local content and redownload the game from steam, it will work fine. If that's the case, then what's your problem? Whats the reason for your original moan? I don't get it.
FrazT
This will happen if you patch over an already patched game or install the wrong patch. Uninstall and reinstall should sort it.
swed151
Don't use manual patches on a steam install. Steam automatically updates your games when updates are available.
