nhedtke
So I just completed my 4th season at French National squad FC Rouen having just finished 4th(6 points from promotion!) after a few scrappier seasons. Now Derby comes out of nowhere offering me the job(currently in the Championship), with a wage budget 10x bigger, transfer budget 3x bigger. I feel like I've invested a lot in Rouen and would like the satisfaction of pulling them into Ligue 2, however it might be a great opportunity for a little more prestige, etc... What would you do? kieronbrown73
What type of game are you wanting to play. I would stay put and try and complete the aim of reaching Ligue 2.
John Smith
I would say, complete your job. It would give you immense satisfaction bringing your own team and players up to complete against the big boys.

Snoozer282
Had the same with Barnet. L2 - Championship in 5 years. On the borderline (1 point) of relegation in Feb. Reading offered me the job and I turned it down.
fatboyjohnmulhern
Go! You will regret it so much. Always, what if? When you struggle next year, you will understand. A team like Derby don't came knocking all that often.
gooner83
why not save the game then take Derby job and save under different file. That way if u decide ur loyalty to ur former club is too strong then u can reload it
bigdanio
im with gooner, i tend to save game, then accept job and then save as a new filename. many times ive thought "im ready for barca" then after 30 mins of gameplay i go back to my old team and never think about barca again. to the OP i say take the derby job, but then i am a derby fan in my current notts co save, i am now in the prem challenging for the title, but on my way up i rejected man city, man utd, chelsea, liverpool, inter, at madrid. i think you start a game wanting to suceed with the club youve picked. occasionally i will start a game where the aim is to move around, but if you buy youth players and build up the club its hard to turn your back on them. nhedtke
thanks for the comments guys, i think i'll save now, keep playing as my current team, and if i REALLY get the urge to jump to Derby will make the switch. Lyon watch out, Rouen are on the rise....
Tomer
Split it into 2 saves. One at Derby and one at Rouen.
likesiamesefish
i'd just take the job and vow to return to rouen much later on when you're a legend in the game, i've done this before with doncaster rovers.
