MillwallLion08
Just a quick question - will teams like Tranmere and Southend play some home fixtures on a Friday, like they often do IRL. Miles says in one of his blogs "Midweek home games are now better modeled, so if a team in real life would normally play a midweek match on a Tuesday, they will do in the game too, with this being decided by the researchers." I was just wondering if this applies to teams like Tranmere and Southend on Fridays in FM10 or is it already in FM09?

englandmanager
imo leeds should have alot of noon kick-offs too like real life
mavericktangoII
imo leeds should have alot of noon kick-offs too like real life And you could include ground closures due to misbehaviour as well!!
baker.simon
Whats the real reason these games get moved? As its not for TV, then is it due to local policing issues or something?
phnompenhandy
From what Miles wrote, I would say probably yes.
englandmanager
Whats the real reason these games get moved? As its not for TV, then is it due to local policing issues or something? it's because leeds are still carrying their bad behaviour tag from the 80's and 90's the teams that are not used to loads of away fans get twitchy when 4000 (bad) leeds fans turn up and enjoy a drink and sing

It cant be due to trouble, as they would move that 2 a lunchtime KO. Friday eve ones though, the fans have all day to go get smashed beforehand. ism-scfc
Our game against leeds is at 12 noon on a monday 2 days after xmas. All the day trippers will make sure its a 10000+ attendance though Friday Night games ALWAYS have the best atmosphere, so most clubs like to switch a few games a season. Tends to compromise attendance though, so not too often
superbocksuperstar
The reason these clubs play on a Friday is so they can get better attendances. Tranmere because the mickeys would be at home on a Saturday and fans would probably rather go to Anfield/Goodison on a Saturday. Southend, I imagine it would be West Ham? Stockport used to play on a Friday as well because United or city would be at home on a Saturday. No doubt other clubs that do it for a similar reason. LeicesterFox
I agree with the OP as this would make the game more realistic
Davidov
I think this would be a good addition, particularly for Southend, my local club. 4 of our 6 home games this season have been on a Friday, and there's another 3 or 4 to come over the rest of the season!
