6+5 Challenge

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests, this challenge is based around the proposed 6+5 rule that has been bandied about the press recently.

It is a fairly open challenge, you can play as any team you like and you must try and achieve as much success as possible whilst maintaining at least 6 home nationals in your starting line up in each and every game.

Home nationals must be players available for the national team in the country you are playing in (e.g. Scottish/Irish/Welsh players will be counted as 'foreign' in the English leagues).

I have been playing as West Ham, now coming upto January in season 1 and sitting 7th.

My team:

GK Robert Green

DR Lucas Neill

DL Liam Fontaine (1.5m)

DC Anton Ferdinand

DC Matthew Upson

MR Giles Barnes (7m)

ML Kyel Reid

MC Mark Noble

MC Scott Parker

FC Carlton Cole

FC Dean Ashton

Chris Cohen (875k)

Danny Haynes (1.9m)

Phil Ifil (600k)(Jan)

OUT

Solano (1.8m)

Really enjoying it, I hope anyone else playing with this method will post their progress in here.

You are right, the FIFA rule would be players trained by the club for 3 years between 15-21 regardless of nationality.

For the purpose of the challenge though I wanted to keep it to home nation players.
