scarp
Hello, In this save I will try to bring Champions League's glory to all the biggest cities of Europe. I will start with the club of my choosing and once I won CL with them I will move to another team that resides in one of the biggest metropolitan areas in Europe. The long-term aim is to win CL in all the cities (ha-ha). I will start with following leagues loaded and I will add a new one if I finish some city but the core (England, Italy, Spain and Germany) will stay as I want the most realistic game as possible. Biggest European cities by population within city limits: Istanbul - Champions League won in 2033 (Basaksehir) Moscow - Champions League won in 2024 (CSKA Moscow) London Saint Petersburg Berlin Madrid Kyiv Rome Paris - Champions League won in 2040 (Red Star FC) Bucharest ... scarp
@karanhsingh Thanks! Yeah, they're in the middle of rehaul in real life aswell, so it is a nice time to step in and hopefully lead them to glory
scarp
July 2018 We will not do any transfers this transfer window but we already secured two great youngsters who come next year. Very good pre-season and good start to new season. We were without our best players - Akinfeev, Mario Fernandes and Dzagoev were still enjoying their holidays. scarp
August 2018 Pretty good start I'd say. Lets see how it goes next month. Won't be easy.
scarp
September 2018 So far we conceded 2 goals in 18 games including preseason. Dream start to be honest. But I fear that we do not have necessary depth to keep such results for the entire season.
scarp
October 2018 I really have no idea what happened against Spartak Or well, I know, we had to play with non-rested players / back-ups only. As I said before - we need to get more depth in the squad next summer. Looks good so far!
karanhsingh
Great start! Funnily enough, Zenit struggled in my save as well first two seasons. They seem to be useless in FM. What formation are you playing? IIRC the CSKA squad was lacking in right wingers.
scarp
@karanhsingh I play 4-1-2-2-1 (4-3-3) with Nikola Vlasic playing on the right wing (Yefremov as a back-up).
scarp
November 2018 We lost to Spartak on penalties in Russian Cup but both in league and EL we continued in a good fashion. This is nice. I will look to bring one winger and one wing-back in January transfer window - preferably russians.
scarp
December 2019 Great month! First place in Europa League group as well as in league. Now we go on vacation. Tough draw.

scarp
February 2019 We paid the opitional fee (1.8m) in Rodrigo Becao's loan contract and he signed with us for 4 years. This is actually really awesome! Some friendly games to get us ready for Europa League... we lost first game away 0-1 as we could not score a goal even though we were the better team. At home we managed to outplay our opponents again - this time Sigurdsson scoring two goals. Still it almost was not enough but Akinfeev did not let Stindl score a penalty kick in 86th minute! We play Olympique Lyonnais next.
scarp
March 2019 Terrible thing happened on the last day of February - Akinfeev got injured for 3-4 weeks and I will have to play our back-up goalie who is nowhere near as good. We lost first game in Lyon 2-1 so I thought we had a decent chance in a rematch. We murdered them at home with 3-0 win (Vlasic is a god). We also drew Ural in league mostly because I was resting players. Even tougher.
scarp
Youth in-take 2019 Unfortunately I forgot to take a screenshot but here are the 4 most promising players. Looks like we've got our Akinfeev replacement
scarp
April 2019 Pretty busy month for us. In league we continued our great form and even beat Zenit 5-0 at home. Against Naples we again lost in away game and then won at home - this time only 1-0 and we moved on on away goals. Next we play Spartak and we can get the title in a home game against our biggest rival. Let's go! (I am downloading logo pack as I type) With 4 games to go
scarp
May 2019 First things first - month started badly again as our best player Vlasic injured himself for the rest of the season. Following that we drew Arsenal at home 0-0 and I had no big expectations for the away game. Boys surprised me with great performance and thanks to Becao's and Kuchaev's goals we reached final on away goals. We will play Internazionale there. In league we beat Spartak 3-0 at home and could celebrate the first title under my command - hopefully much more to come. 27-2-1 will be hard to reproduce next season. Broke the record and then upped it to 27 wins. Europa League Final Sigurdsson got injured against Sochi aswell so we had none of our starting wingers... and even though we put up a good performance we just could not score and Inter was way more clinical. Unlucky but we overachieved our expectations by a long shot.
scarp
Season 2018/19 Vlasic won our POTY followed by Magnusson and Brecao - but it was not even close. No inter players Poor Bistrovic being the only one from our starting 11 not in the team of the year Edited July 5, 2019 by scarp

scarp
July 2019 The problem I had this transfer window is that I hardly can replace my foreign players with someone better and there were no viable russians I could get. Therefore I only signed Ivashin and Dagba as back-ups + Morilla and Almada from before. I sold Nababkinn as he wanted a new challenge and also Nishimura who I don't think has the talent to make it here. Pre-season was alright and so was the Super Cup. In the first league game I tried new tactic trying to accomodate Almada (4-2-3-1) but I am not sure if better teams will not beat us easily in the midfield. scarp
August 2019 Great start to our league campaign. Most of the games we used new tactic 4-1-2-2-1 - the difference is there are two ACMs instead of two winger, I am not sure how it plays out in Europe. This should be doable! scarp
September 2019 Beating Zenit 6-1 away is always a pleasure to watch. Good start in CL too. Getting them records.
karanhsingh
Good going! Some Russians for you to look at, from my 2 years at Krasnodar if of interest. Spoiler Gazinskiy is amazing in a B2B role, finished top scorer in the league for me. Djikia or Kutepov from Spartak if you can get one of them. Mitryushkin as a long term replacement for Akinfeev. Karaveev in case you sell Mario Fernandes. I also retrained him as D RLC. Mamaev / Kokorin on a free after their bans are up. Waldemar Anton & Eduard Lowen are partial Russian. Lowen is easier to pick up if Nurnberg get relegated. Daniil Utkin made excellent progress for us as a Mez. Nikolay Komlichenko is a good poacher and not too expensive. Cheryshev can be usually got on loan or for cheap after the first season, only good winger option I found.
scarp
October 2011 Another strong month - especially win against Porto away was unexpected to me. We drew against Lokomotiv in league though as I was resting players for the Porto game. We drop to 2nd but we have two games in hand. Surely means we will spend our spring in Champions League. scarp
November 2019 Decent in Russia, horrible in Europe. Funnily enough we are still first in our group but we have to win our last game against Besiktas anyway. We are 34 games unbeaten in Premier League. scarp
December 2019 Finishing the year in a great form with four wins in four games. We also convincigly beat Besiktas 4-0 meaning we secured our top1 spot in Group H. Hopefully we get an easier draw for play-offs. Are there any other records left? Okay, we did not. This is good. scarp
January 2019 We signed one youngster to our academy (free) and also one first team player (4.6mil). Also our players won some awards. Awards
scarp
February 2020 Leicester met Bistrovic's release clause and bought him for 9mil. I would not mind but I could not get new DM in time for our game against PSG. Also Yefremov moved to Dinamo for 800k. As a Bistrovic's replacement I chose to invest "big money" for the first time and bought Roman Zobnin from Spartak. I paid 15mil for him but he's great and he's in his prime years. It also weakened Spartak. Fixtures Unfortunately we lost 3-1 away to PSG but SIgurdsson's goal from 93rd minute gives us at least a little bit of hope. We moved to semis in Russian Cup where we faced Zenit and won 2-0 in first leg. Youth in-take was pretty poor except for this guy.
scarp
March 2020 Even though we did not move to quarterfinals I am very proud of the team as we beat PSG at home! In league we continued in okay form but we also lost points for second time in the season.
scarp
April 2020 We move to Russian Cup finals where we will face Krasnodar but more importantly Spartak beat us 4-2 and ended our 39-games long unbeaten record run. Zenit still struggling.
scarp
May 2020 We ended our season in a good fashion. We beat Krasnodar 3-1 in Russian Cup Finals meaning we end up with treble this season. We actually overcame our last season's record in goals scored by one goal - we finished with 104 this season.
scarp
Season 2019/20 Dzagoev (18+11) won POTY, followed by Vlasic (17+14) and Magnusson (2+11). Team of the year without player of the year?

scarp
July 2020 We really do not need to buy anyone currently so I am not pushing it if I don't find an ideal player. Bought Shyriaev from Zenit who's only 17 and tried to get 20 years old right winger from Krasnodar but they want unhuman money from him. Also sold some unneeded players for few millions. Good preseason followed by a win in Super Cup in OT - we did not really play our best team. Good start to Premier League as well. Great physicals, not so good technicals - lets see how he shapes up in the future.
scarp
August 2020 Loss against Krasnodar goes on me - I accidentally played wrong tactic Might make the league more interesting though. Good group, we should go through.
scarp
September 2020 Most importantly we lost to Nizhnyi Novgorod in Russian Cup and were eliminated. We also lost 3-6 to Dinamo in CL. Few games before the game Vasin came to me demanding more first team football so I decided to let him play. He got absolutely wrecked by the opposition and when I confronted him about it he told me "I was excellent, have you been to opticians recently?". Well, that's it. That's your career in CSKA boy. I moved him to u21 and immediately sold him to Standard Liege though he will spend the rest of the autumn in u21. Krasnodar still going strong. scarp
October 2020 We were actually up 3-0 away at Arsenal so the draw hurts a little bit. We lso drew Rubin in league when they scored in injury time aswell. We are not as dominant as last season. Loss to Dinamo made it really hard for us.
scarp
November 2020 Perfect month as we beat Arsenal 4-2 thanks to Vlasic's hattrick. We also get a revenge against Dinamo so now we have evrything in our hands in CL.

scarp
January 2021 I did not want to replace Akinfeev just yet but the truth is hes aging and we need to find replacement sooner or later. Mitryushkin looks very good and I did not want to risk him leaving Sion and gaining way higher price so I bought him just now. Still unsure who will start for the rest of the season.
