Which 1st team and which exact division is the first twam? There could be rules or data preventing your team from coming up through the ranks.

That shouldn’t be too hard. Have to check how many teams are supposed to quality, but it is group stages, so that’s doable. Not sure how I missed that one in FM20, although that was during my covid fever I guess

Since I am mostly redoing/rechecking the various I made to the People file that I have in my version list (727 items right now ) I can see how keeping a good list of versions and descriptions really helps. I have already done about 500 of 727 and when all nationality checks have been done (about 52 items on my list) I can start the quick transfer items (about 90 of them), so despite not able to finish the people this month I am ahead of where I thought I would be.

I have a question about this, how much trouble is the renumbering? Is that from a graphics points of view? Since it’s bound to happen to me as well and right now I don’t see it much of an issue for my way of working I wonder if I am missing something.

There is an option added in the editor to have the prolonged extra time option as used in the World Cup. It needs a small edit in the competition file.

Building a stadium takes time, so teams will always move to another stadium in between. Teams will not build a stadium just on the basis of 'we might promoted'. One option could be that a team gets a 'grace period' where they can rebuild the stadium, but that would mean the game has to be told that the team can stay in their stadium while the rebuilding takes place. I don't think there is an option for that.

Have decided on Finland and The Netherlands for the FM25 preparation files.

Private stuff will finish next week with a funeral. After that I am still away from work, but as I have been editing away on the People the last weeks anyway, things are progressing ongoing. Have to do some checking on the necessary transfer work tomorrow. It varies per country. In some cases little to no work is needed, in some cases, the work is massive. It is mainly caused by new people added by the researchers between FM22 and FM24 btw.

While now editing on the Iron Curtain I am thinking of cleaning up one nation for their nationalities so I have an idea what chaos FM25 brings. It would likely be a smaller country, but with enough variety to see what the conversion to FM25 brings.

They might not see the super league as a national division and leave because of that. Hard to say without seeing the setup.

MLS rules are US specific rules. They can't be used outside. Might have been possible before, but it seems the last few editors have had a cleanup in some rules.

Since I have no other information to go on, I assume you have created a super league and your managers are on a exodus spree? Check your schedule if your season updates and a new season is scheduled.

Good questions. I haven't thought about that yet since I am working on the Iron Curtain mostly. Probably depends on what happens with FM25 as that will be the time when I am most active with this project.

I have loaded a file from a previous FM into the FM24 editor. Since I have moved quite a few players, it is likely some of them are at teams that have set to extinct between FM22 and FM24. Is there any way to quickly find out which players or clubs those are?

You don't need to set them both though. Setting three at the parent level is enough.

This is giving me a deep dive into history to a point that some of the things happening today can be brought back to decision taken in the 1910's, 20's and 30's. Obviously that is a oversimplification, but seeds were sown. It is also given me plans. Evil plans

Soviet Union Nationality and Second Nationality check is done. And while I am happy with the progress I am also pretty sure this file is not going to be finished before the end of the month. I should have realised that, but the faulty edits are just more than I wished for. So I am changing tactics which means I am first going to work through moving players for the nations I have done now (the Germany's, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and Soviet Union). That should give me a good idea what to expect for the others nations not yet done and will help me to work out how to do the rest. Not much trouble to report about the competition tests in the meantime.

If Malmo is still in the Swedish league as well, the Swedish rules might apply. Check if the teams are set to continental qualifiers Sweden/Norway.

I am using about 55-60 files in a mod that need to work together. No issue with combining files for competition or club ids.
