You can also change the thresholds and colours if you want. In my game 1-5 are red, 6-10 are yellow, 11-15 are blue, and 16-20 are green. This really helps me anyway!

Nice. I also change the colors and ranges. If my club is in a lower league, then 6 to 10 matters and I code it yellow. If top league, then 1 to 10 is brown because these scores are unacceptable at that level.

  2. Loan negotiations are rarely negotiations: my counter-offers are nearly always bluntly denied and the other club just withdraws from any further talks. These are more like ultimatums...

Can you please calibrate loan negotiations so to have a more realistic, decent talk?

I don't really get why people come out with stuff like this. The point is that I was able to become the manager of Manchester United who had just won the league last season. 1 year prior I was managing Ballymena United in Northern Ireland. I shouldn't have even been able to get the Swansea job if you look at the reputation differences and yeah I did win the Championship and some how the FA Cup, but that shouldn't warrant me getting a top job.

Rejecting the offer to be manager just to make it feel realistic shouldn't even need to happen.

Yes, I don't understand it either.

There's obviously a "player bias" so the game notices you more (and apparently your players too) and gets you jobs/interviews that in no way you would be betting in real life.

It's absurd we have to "roleplay" this to make the game more believable, when it should be the point of the game.

One thing is being able to directly apply for a club, because it's a game, the other is being completely obscure in 3rd division and getting a Premier invite from a mid-top side just like that and having to think "should I decline to be more realistic?"

I agree with these comments and many others'.

Game developers are building "feel good" features in their algorithms, so to keep gamers buying and playing longer.  If the game is too easy or too hard, players tune out. So, developers have built something called "dynamic difficulty adjustment". (Search a YouTube video titled "EA does not want you to see this" to learn about the patent).

Yet, apparently, SIGA still hasn't catch up with this new technology!

While I don’t disagree that piracy is a problem in Brazil, you are completely wrong about that Brazil should be witch-hunted. Most of the crackers actives in the world are Russians, and the ones that always shows up claiming they cracked the game are also Russians. The problem is SI right now don’t want to have the headache to deal with Brazilian teams and players (that have excellent lawyers by the way).

No need to be self-defensive. The nationality of hackers doesn't matter, and European players also have excellent lawyers. It all boils down to a business decision: potential revenues based on market size minus costs. Apparently, Brazil is a bad business decision for SIGA - period.

  5. Unfortunately, the level of software piracy in Brazil is just too high to justify a business decision by Siga to invest in the country (by paying outrageous license fees to CBF and club lobbies).

SIGA would have to hire a team of lawyers to pressure the Federal Police to shut down pirate websites and put all of the bootleggers in jail.

It makes no sense from a business perspective.

So I recommend you to check up your PC. You may check your drivers, make sure they are all up-to-date. Be sure no virus/trojan consumes your PC's computational power. Check the running processes on the operating system, look if there is an odd process.

Thanks, but the problem is not my laptop, it's me. I've had several gaming laptops over the years, and am always tuning them up. It's me: I'm picky and believe that FM should be running faster.

It is odd unless you load lots and lots of leagues. So, how many leagues do you load, and from what number of countries?

The game runs slow regardless of the number of leagues. Even with a decent number of leagues (say, 10), this game should be running way faster... It's ridiculous the amount of time we waste waiting!

To answer you: I now have all leagues of all nations. I know! It's crazy!  It runs slower than usual, but not much worse than with 10 leagues... (Yes, I remove leagues as the save progresses...).

They're separate platforms (like Xbox and Playstation) but both playable on PC. If you have a gaming laptop then I see no reason to buy a Stadia version rather than Steam version

Thanks @autohoratio. In the opening message, Simon Jacobson is promising that FM will run faster on Stadia. That's the only reason why I'd consider a different platform. Even on my brand new gaming laptop (Alienware), the save runs too slow between matches (as it has always been the case over the years).

  9. Agreed. I was thinking about this just yesterday.

I started a journeyman save with all leagues and countries (yes, it runs slow...), and I picked Volta Redonda (Brazil 3rd division). I was easily promoted to the 2nd division as champions and was runner-up in the local  highly competitive (Carioca) league. I was then bombarded with job offers from European first leagues, and go a job at Sporting in Portugal. All of that in 1.5 seasons.

Are there any negative effects if you always try to appeal red card suspensions?

No problems with the FA. But, on the player side, the downside is that if you appeal suspension, you can't discipline your player (with warnings or salary penalties). So, he is more inclined to continue bad behavior and other players may follow suit or resent your lack of discipline. Because of that, I decide based on whether the player did deserve the red card or not...

  11. I often see my club playing with away and third jersey kits even when it is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. (For example, see red-and-black Flamengo wearing the blue kit agaisnt an away club playing green or white - it makes no sense).

Can you give us the option of choosing the jerseys, or, at least, improving your coding so that preference is given to the First main jersey kit whenever possible?

    Thank you.

PS: In late 2018, I posted on the forum titled "Black Socks against Blue Socks" (with an image) as that was the only way to differentiate the kits. This needs to be improved.

That is not a solution, that is break the minors privacy laws.

When a kid joins a club, his parents need to sign waivers. All credits belong to the club. But I can see SI lawyers fretting about this.

In any case, the database with real junior players should be dramatically increased, so that we don't have so many fake regens so soon in the save...

  13. I'd like to see more real players and less regens as the years progress. By 2030, most players I see are those cartoon-faced regens.

A solution would be for FM to include more real infant players in the database, actual kids aged 13 and 14 playing at junior teams in actual clubs as of 2019. Any chance?

FM should employ some facial ageing elements to facial photos, so that these kids also age a bit as years pass buy: more facial hair, less head hair, more wrinkles, not so baby face at age 35, etc...

Can you please stop saying the game is too easy? It makes me feel really bad, I couldn't pull off a decent tactic if my life depended on it. Occasionally I put something together that seems to work OK for a game or two, but then I get trashed 0-5 with 3-31 in shots.

Roles, duties, player instructions, team instructions.. It's sooo complex to get everything right. 😕

I found that rest (from training) has a HUGE impact on match performance. You can have a nice tactics, but if your players are overtrained and tired, they won't play well. Try to intersperse some rest days for your main team, before and between matches, and see if performance improves. I bet it will. Good luck!

I have been using the trial method for years in my lower league save. Yeah  I would say abused it. There should be a cost because it can be abused, but from what I have noticed I can’t see any significant increase.

What I have noticed in newer editions of FM is that your reputation affects whether they come for trial a bit more.

Thanks for your input, Rashidi. I also use trial invitations a lot but I find it quite unrealistic that no travel/hotel/visa costs to host the guest player are being charged to my club. This financial issue should be addressed by SI developers.

Is there a way to bring this issue to their attention? Thank you.
