    FM 23. I couldn't stand bad teams passing around like prime barca in FM 22.

    It's pretty easy. Won Premier League 5 times and Champions League 5 times all in a row from 2026 with West Ham. Played Gegenpressing and bought quality young players to build the team with along with decent staffs. Injuries are lacking and AI squad management is extremely bad. It's just tough the first 3 seasons. I would consider FM 2017 the hardest and FM 2021 the second hardest from recent memories.

    Honestly if you think about doing a long-term save, there should be a disclaimer to load atleast 15 nations and 20 leagues or whatever the optimal setup is.

    If you have less than 15 nations loaded and 20 leagues loaded, it's very very bad.

    Sadly mate, we the long term save enjoyers are the minority in FM playerbase. That's why long term saves are getting worse over time without mods/datapacks. It's a shame really.

    It sadly doesn't. Went in holiday with 8 nations and 12 leagues in playable. Seems to be a core issue in FM 2023.

    Yeah I have never seen long-term saves so broken in any previous FM iteration. Saves are easy and unusable after 2026/2027. I tend to stick with 1 team for 10 years but I cannot do that anymore. I just play 3 season max and create a new save. It's demotivating.

    There needs to be more interest for a fringe/reserve player to want to go out on a loan. This also destroys young player being able to grow to their potential too as they are not getting game time and not willing to go on loan especially in an AI club.

    Experiencing the same issue. It just seems to be a randomly selection of u18 that wants to play on the main team when signed from another team and wants a Squad Player playing time. It happens very frequently.

    The problem is more related to how AI manager prioritize reputation way more than picking players because of their potential, ability or even their form. Even if a 21 years old player has higher CA and PA but has 2.5 star reputation, they will pick the 35 years old player who has lower CA and PA because he has 3 star reputation. That's a massive issue with the AI squad management. Also it doesn't help that youth player's reputation grow extremely slowly. That ends up resulting no player under 23 year being picked(unless he is one of the world's best players) after the year 2027.

    We need a new ticket now that we have more data on where the problem relies. A specific ticket with the issue "Young Players doesn't develop their reputation fast enough" or "Manager AI prioritize reputation too much" should be good tickets.

    The change of Youth player gaining reputation fast was not true at all. No changes were made at all with the youth reputation. I don't understand why it's on the changelist. Did they forgot to merge the PR? Forgot to commit? Reverted the commit? Merged for a different release branch? No one knows. But we absolutely need Youth Reputation to fix without having to resort to DB edits. Improving the loan market would also improve this too. Development is fine.

    Atleast it's not all F's like in my career with Chelsea. Newgens are just broken.

    You have to set it to "Automatic" to let the scheduling work.

    Definitely need to be addressed by the second option. AI team management in general is very lacking.

    This is the reason why a player aged 21 with PA 183 and CA 149 at Reputation 1 and a half star have more appearance in the same team over a player aged 37 with PA 146 and CA 137 that has 3 star reputation.

    Yeah I have seen a lot of high potential and high ca player either sitting in the bench or reserves or kept in the u21 team and instead 38 players are getting more appearances. Something is very strange with the Manager AI.

    Seems like play from the back is the new meta to retain a lead. The ability to pass around the back without pressure regardless of team quality is a bit too OP.
