That's because they played 4-5-1 in this game (Rodrygo at LW), however they haven't done so the rest of the season and they haven't played 4-3-3 this year almost at all. "Normally" Rodrygo plays at mid-right and Vini at mid-left and they both play wider and roam etc. Behind them is Bellingham and then the trio in the mid is Valverde, Tchouameni and Camavinga (secundo volante, defensive midfielder and the role in question - for me it's rpm - respectively that usually Camavinga has). I agree that dlp-su is too static, there is a merit for regista as he also does a lot of the things Kroos (or Camavinga) does in the field. Interestingly enough, Kroos does all of these things irl, I'll admit I wasn't aware of his FM tab when I posted my previous comment.

442 narrow diamond>help needed
Poison replied to dvh's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Also you can try telling your strikers to "stay wider" to play a bit like wingers and help with width, depending of whether they are capable or not ofc. I use it often in 4-4-2 diamond. -
Is anyone really underachieving on FM?
Poison replied to El Payaso's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Well I've been sacked many times with any kind of team imaginable, title favorites where I've lost title, relegation fodders which i have not managed to save despite playing well, mid teams that didn't fare well (sacked within objectives). The last one is the most difficult, even if you are predicted 9th and finish 12th the board is not going to sack you probably. -
How to make 4-3-3 work?
Poison replied to ElJuanvito's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Put him on support, problem solved. He'll drop deep and link play just as is intended at any 4-3-3 that makes sense that I know. On attack duty ofc he'll just lurk and wait for his opportunities just like irl. -
If I want a player, I'll get him. I'll try to set his playing time to "important player", though.

Stuck on loading screen - Ubuntu Linux

Ubuntu Gnome here too, no issues whatsoever. Make sure the game is fully updated. I'm using Proton 8.0-5 if it helps. -
Halfspace crosses - how to get them frequently
Poison replied to julle17's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
I've seen it a few times in my save, no specific instructions. The player who executed it had crazy skill (technical and mental attributes), he's my best player. I was playing him in a playmaker role if it helps (roaming playmaker). -
Halfspace crosses - how to get them frequently
Poison replied to julle17's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Hmm if the "cross more often" player instruction doesn't help I don't know what will do it. One thing I've noticed, some players (low-ish teamwork maybe?) play to their strengths and ignore some tactical instructions, if your midfielders are poor in crosses maybe they refrain from using them. Maybe try "stay wider" player instruction too so they'll be in the positions that De Bruyne is. Edit: Also, the player needs good vision and anticipation at least to execute the cross. -
It happens literally all the time for me. I play with mez and use "run at defense" which i think does it. When they find a gap they dribble there. They also do it without the ball many times, maybe it's an attribute issue? Edit: You can also use overlap, that might also do it. Edit no 2: Whatever role you use for the midfielder, make sure he has "roam from position" checked.

When you purchase your second non EU player for your team, you cannot play him in competitive matches unless you sell another non EU player. That one I get. However, why can't you play him in friendlies or include him in the training camp? Is it an omission / bug or is that the law? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's at the same place(coach discussion)? I think it works for me, I have removed a couple. You go to traits, discuss new trait and it's at the equivalent category. If you cannot do it, maybe it's a bad coach thing or a bug maybe?
