  1. I've seen it a few times in my save, no specific instructions. The player who executed it had crazy skill (technical and mental attributes), he's my best player. I was playing him in a playmaker role if it helps (roaming playmaker).
  2. Hmm if the "cross more often" player instruction doesn't help I don't know what will do it. One thing I've noticed, some players (low-ish teamwork maybe?) play to their strengths and ignore some tactical instructions, if your midfielders are poor in crosses maybe they refrain from using them. Maybe try "stay wider" player instruction too so they'll be in the positions that De Bruyne is. Edit: Also, the player needs good vision and anticipation at least to execute the cross.
  3. It happens literally all the time for me. I play with mez and use "run at defense" which i think does it. When they find a gap they dribble there. They also do it without the ball many times, maybe it's an attribute issue? Edit: You can also use overlap, that might also do it. Edit no 2: Whatever role you use for the midfielder, make sure he has "roam from position" checked.
  4. Half of them are already there???? But generally interactions/ AI needs a rework for sure, I agree. It's not easy of course I'd guess.
  5. When you purchase your second non EU player for your team, you cannot play him in competitive matches unless you sell another non EU player. That one I get. However, why can't you play him in friendlies or include him in the training camp? Is it an omission / bug or is that the law? Thanks in advance!
  6. Yes, it's at the same place(coach discussion)? I think it works for me, I have removed a couple. You go to traits, discuss new trait and it's at the equivalent category. If you cannot do it, maybe it's a bad coach thing or a bug maybe?
  7. I check the opponent wingers mainly and the forward, if the forward is pacy I put my fast CB there if not my tall one. Wingers, are they inverted or not, I then use similar footed fullbacks and also check acceleration /pace. In mid i choose whether to play my strong DM or rotate depending if they have strong midfield or not. That kind of stuff. i tend not to adjust my forwards to their back-line and go with the typical support forward + two inverted wingers.
  8. There are teams that have been playing like that though irl, Toulouse FC comes to mind they were playing like that and had managed to stay in Ligue 1 for a long time. A pure 4-3-1-2 indeed, if I remember properly too. Used to play like that and my two strikers with "stay wider" instruction scored a lot.
  9. While this is technically true, the transition would have to be very very fast and the guy who passes the ball must first find space and get past the opponent who counter-presses (because he does) to actually execute that pass. It's not that simple. @CVass Only thing I would change is getting Hojlund out of the box sometimes in a support role, he would be more useful linking people than just sitting up front. He certainly has the attributes to achieve this.
  10. Thanks, i've noticed all of your points, they do seem to fit to a 4-3-3 and Liddle seems good. Will check the local teams for sure!
  11. Hello, just started an LLM (lower league management for those who don't know) save, more specifically with Darlington at Vanarama North and honestly I have no idea what to do, the save is completely fresh, any tips? Is there a thread which can help me? Share your wisdom please!
  12. Where do I play this player if I'm not using an AMC? Any ideas? https://gyazo.com/56cd7fbe8a7bcb3be0dbac05f4f64900
  13. It seems like it's too attacking for my taste (not that it's a bad thing), the tactic probably lacks support in the left side I think. It seems like Lukaku is terrible, maybe make him a TF(A) or even a TF(su) to not even attempt efforts but bring others into play? Not a fan of natural footed inside forward (Jackson) , make him a winger(su), he'll still cut enough if needed. Anchor at Caicedo seems like a waste for his physicals, make him a traditional DM? Your keeper is lacking in decisions according to FM, so try him as SK-d so he'll be more cautious. Mydruk should cut inside a lot, iw-su??? Also if you keep Callagher (or Nkunku) at support he will link up with everyone better, including Lukaku who seems isolated with anyone dribbling on attack around him. So either make a TM-su and AM-att or a TN-A and AM-su combo (the latter would be my preference). Finally, make Disasi a nncb, I believe that'll vastly improve defense, he's not a progressive style defender. That's what I would change.
  14. It's also at development -> training, you can see everything there.
  15. Sure mate, the first one is my more balanced one which uses the rpm instead of the BBM because he helps a little bit more with the ball. The DM becomes a traditional defensive midfielder then. The second one (with the double iwb) has a certain "no defense, just vibes" feeling to it. It's being used when I'm desperate or against really weak teams (though it's a good formation for any opponent, really). Both fully press as you can see.
  16. I wonder if "injury proneness" has anything to do with a player having his foot broken.
  17. Here's mine, not sure if the instructions are a lot or not tbh. I've also showed some of my players so you'll get an idea of my team strength (they are all real players). I use it against strong teams and at away games (not all). I've beaten teams like Napoli and Milan many times using it.
  18. No ,"weak influence" refers to a specific player on your team who doesn't do much. You can click on weak influence to see who, it's clickable at the tactics screen(not sure about the hub).
  19. Which League? Maybe he gets dealt with effectively by the AI? I play at Serie A with an AMC as an attacking midfielder -support and he's been my best player in all honesty.
  20. You probably use the cpu gfx card instead if the actual dedicated one (or it is a conflict between both). See if you can only use the dedicated one from NVidia Control Panel OpenGL settings.
  21. I've played a little bit of Christmas tree formation in Serie A (3DMs 2 AMs), however the players didn't like it so I switched to a classic 4-2-3-1. Then we were leaking defensively and the chairman wasn't happy. Oh well, you can't win them all I guess.
