View only just gives you league tables no extra players

To keep it more balanced, assuming lets say you manage in the English Premier league i'd be looking to load at least the top tiers of the strongest European leagues in full detail to keep the continental competions competetive.  The more you load the better but obviously that will depend on what your hardware can take.

There's a good thread by @Daveincid around somewhere that goes into this in more detail

Don't worry about loading leagues . Use the custom database

This is not technically true. You CAN import training schedules into semi-pro or amateur teams. I believe they just have to be semi-pro or amateur schedules since you don't have the same number of slots available.

Yes that could true as I just download them so they are more likely pro ones

Because maybe we're volunteers who don't work 24/7 and when posts come through at gone midnight, a lot of us are in bed asleep? There's no obligation to approve posts the second they're posted, things get approved when we get round to it. Easiest way to avoid this is to not get yourself on post moderation to begin with.

I know i am on a differerent time zone so i guess that cant be helped . Just funny that when something gets posted its like im behind the 8 ball  ..... But yes you are correct of course as it was my fault .

I tried to import training schedule , but it won't open/load it ? What am I doing wrong ? Please help ! I am more of an EHM than FM guy, so consider me rookie :)

You can only use imported training schedules if your team is Professional.  If its Semi or Amateur then you can't.  Not sure if that's the issue

I am quite furious right now and i am not sure if it's a bug or if there is something i can do about it. I am playing as Sochaux in France, and halfway through the first half of the season i asked my board to increase the youth intake, seeing as my goal with the save was to use as many homegrown players as possible. They agreed to increase the junior coaching but for the recruitment they wanted me to promise to "give young players first-team opportunities" to at least two players. I figured this would be an easy promise since my whole team is young anyway. Fast forward to the end of the season i and i have cruised to an easy promotion. I have also extensively used young players (i mean 90% of my squad is very young) and even played like the last 5-6 games with mostly youngsters (17 year olds) starting, since i had won the league. The board is very pleased with me and everything and i have a B rating.

After the season is done i am then immediately, without any warning, fired; for "failing to give first-team opportunities to our young players". Absolutely shocking.

There is nowhere in the game to even see this invisible "promise" that i made earlier in the season, all i can i see is a happy board. Also, i have gone way over the promise with using tons of youngsters all season. I also got a fantastic youth-intake with a golden generation, and it is now all down in the drain because "the most complete game ever" can't function properly.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything i can do to avoid my game being ruined? Is this actually a bug? I am fuming. If this means the end of this save i am not gonna bother to pick up this travesty again.

I saw a similar post a while back . Log it in bug section .

CAN THE MODERATOR WHO POSTS THIS PLEASE TELL ME WHY IT TAKES OVER 7 HOURS TO POST ?

    PLEASE MESSGAE ME

Sounds a lot, but really isn't. The Classic would just be the core game with sections removed and their impact removed. The Hardcore mode is just the core game but with more realistic restrictions on squad building and ramped up sliders/impacts of doing things right/wrong tactically etc.

You would think that but Football Manager is the most computer draining game I own . I can play high quality games like all the Toal War games , City Skylines , 2K Golf and Basketball without any issues yet FM I struggle and I can only play small leagues . I've Optimisated everything I can think of so I'm hoping UNITY might actually help

I think the removal of FM Classic/Touch or whatever it was called on PC was a mistake. There should definitely be an option to strip the game back to just transfers, matches, coaches and contracts as it's clearly what a lot of people want. There is some of that with the mobile version, but they wrapped that in the ridiculous Netflix subscription model so a lot won't play it. For me there should be three game modes. FM Classic (Features similar to early FM/late CM titles), FM Core (The default FM version that the majority of players use) and FM Hardcore (The core game, but with more realistic pressure on managers, more difficult squad building, less influence and power available to the manager and more tactical difficulty).

As for FM25, I've said before the decision was brave and totally necessary. FM was a franchise in decline, each iteration was too similar to the previous one and the features being added were largely of low value. Having the new engine for games and the new UI is long overdue. It has needed this for probably 5 years now and it's so good to see them taking the risk like this. If anything, if they wanted to be more like FIFA, they could simply have kept the same engine, UI and graphics and just rolled out a yearly update with little to no effort like EA does. Whilst there are a lot of hardcore FM fans who'll claim the visuals aren't important, they are. A fresh, impressive new UI and engine will draw fans in from other titles, like FIFA, growing the game. It'll increase immersion as well, making the game feel that bit more real. Watching your generic players jerk around, teleport and move unrealistically also makes it harder to see what's going on. I'm awful at the game tactically and I think a lot of that is because the game currently just isn't good at making it obvious where you are succeeding or failing tactically because the animation and graphics are so bad.

Hardly a Franchise is decline ?? Record sales for FM23 so you can't say that

Hi, we're happy with the goal numbers at the moment, currently our numbers are lower than real life.

    For example, this weekend in the PL, 4-3, 3-3, 3-2, 2-2, 5-0

    And the last Champions League Fixtures had, 6-0, 3-3, 4-2, 3-3, 3-2, 3-1, 3-1, 3-2

IRL high goal numbers have increased due to having 5 subs and up to 10 minutes extra time . Personally I don't like it but that's just the way it is . Seems many goals IRL are coming after the 80 min mark . FM24s simulation for goals is spot on I think but maybe we are all use to the days when 1-0 or 2-0 etc were the norm . Well done I say

After getting some help last night on how to set up regional divisions and making sure they work, I added awards to them.

I did it quick by duplicating an already working set of awards for the second division, then grouping them and putting the correct competition. They work fine for two, but not for one of them and there's genuinely nothing I can think of that would make the awards not work

     imagen.thumb.png.4a623886b685692673be627d3159515b.pngimagen.thumb.png.c024e19f0b5adc2bbb899fcbb5326e8f.pngaimagen.thumb.png.22f46e98c6e525c167bf970c94aab305.png

The three leagues are carbon copies of each other pretty much, the only difference being that one has less teams and it's not the problematic one.

    imagen.thumb.png.65481bcc3060a1c7a82f9cf248df86ce.png

The awards are at the bottom of the ID list because I've deleted and duplicated them again recently but just these don't work. It's really, really strange

Edit: I forgot to add the file

Can you explain what the awards are for in English. Just so you know ...Goal of the Week , Month or Year only work when running your nation ir competition on Full Detail .

How much of the market is held by Xbox and PS5 players? I get needing, or wanting, to attract players on other platforms, but the main market is held by those who traditionally play the game on a PC/Laptop. Surely if you're playing on a console like the above, and you're wanting a visual football match, you'd play FIFA or whatever it's called now. As for text and 2D formats not cutting it in this day and age, that's certainly untrue to a degree. Full text commentary is probably used little by most, but there's still a solid core of players who retain preference for the 2D matches - I myself am one of those. Much like I've said before on it, 2D still provides the best tactical overview for seeing everything that's going on in a match. It's great for making any necessary tweaks and adjustments. And personally, I also enjoy both the imaginative component it creates and the hit of nostalgia.

While I don't quite agree with your analogy, I understand thee is obviously a demand for the 3D side of things. I just don't believe it should be at the forefront of priorities, or marketed as being a primary component of the game. It's the cherry on top of the cake, not the cake itself. Without the latter being strong, the former is kinda redundant no matter how good it may taste (or in a 3D sense, look).

They have really only just started doing Xbox and PS5 so it will egt bigger and with the new UNITY engine its going to explode . But they cant sacrifice one for another

    On this for a moment.

Wouldn't it make more sense to put the majority of the time, attention, and focus into developing the fundamental components that the game itself virtually lives and dies by, and having them function in the most optimal manner possible? The big three that've always been at the forefront of the franchise and make it what it is - tactics, recruitment and development.

What use is having visually stunning graphics if the fundamentals lag behind and ruin the general playability? We all know the game can function, and arguably also thrive, without a 3D component.

The more the franchise heads towards trying to produce the football equivalent of Microsoft Flight Simulator the finer the margins become, to the point where bugs become more game breaking.

Can't help but feel this is a good time to re-evaluate for the franchise and actually have the developers and such earn their keep for once.

Sort of agree but in today's world of having this game on Xbox , PS5 etc the graphics have become important and they have to be good to project the game to new players . Think we have long past the results being pasted in Text formats and 2D and that just doesn't cut it in this day and age.  I have always said having poor graphics is like a movie with a silly ending . It ruins the whole movie !! . You do all the work as a manager to then see it played out with bad graphics is well,  a disappointment . But yes a lot more work to be done internally with fundamental components.  And personally I'm getting a bit miffed with these promises that never happen .

If you are winning only praise will cause green reactions.

    Encourage when losing or drawing.

    Berate when losing.

If you use any of them at any other times you'll just frustrate the players these are also the only ones I've managed to shout at my whole squad and not frustrate them too.

These are the unwritten rules of shout club.

Demand more is good if your team is under performing

Now, yes Chelsea is awful. No, I don't understand how they went from second last season to twentieth halfway through the current season, which despite just being an extra 0 is quite a difference, but this is still pretty damn harsh.

Guess the update must've destroyed their tactics or something.

Apparently the update fixed defensive issues and goalkeeper issues so tactics do need to change

Oh well, at least Si is back to consistent. Thinking with FM23, we'd seen for the last time, every major update managing to break other areas of the game. Now it's back with a vengeance ! The newgens not working for one and no way from the settings to add a manager picture. The workaround for both is adding "r-" in the config file to each player and manager pic. Also all players in the game have the wrong hairstyles, hair colours and skin colour. You can change the hair colour and style with the IGE, which you have to pay for but not skin colour. To do that you need a more in depth editor, like FMRTE, which you also have to pay for. Surely, some at Si HQ run the modified game before release ?? If that's the case, why are such errors not reported to those that certify such a release to us players ???

SI are not responsible for 3rd party MODs . If they had to consider every mod in everyone's games they could never release a patch or update.  It's not for them to change their formula to suit mods it's for mods to change their own to suit the game .
