  1. Thanks mate It really was damn close !
  2. The Lilies April & May 2024 Results It was close. Damn close. But we made it. We avoided relegation, despite collecting only 3 points in the last 7 games. But those proved to be vital for our survival. Bo Svensson and Mainz had their revenge on us, then our keeper Schuhen saved us a point in the home draw against Freiburg, we were unlucky in Cologne in the next game, but against Heidenheim we were the lucky ones once more. These ups and downs continued against Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim and finally against Dortmund. Bundesliga Table One point. But it was enough to secure us another season in the top flight. Union lost against St. Pauli in the promotion/relegation playoffs. Youth Our U19 won the Regional Youth League and got promoted to the National Youth League South. Well done boys! There are quite some talents in that team. Youth Intake A rather underwhelming intake. But you can´t have world class intakes every day. Erdl looks promising though. Season Stats Not the most overwhelmingly good stats. But let´s see the positives: Stojilkovic managed to score 10 goals, Manu scored 6 and assisted 6 and Youngster Riedel made 18 appearances. A lot of players will leave after the season and the team will look different next year. We will have to change our approach to progress further.
  3. The Lilies February & March 2024 Results Hard times. We lost 3 games in a row (4 if you include last months defeat) and the games against Leverkusen, Gladbach and Stuttgart were really bad as we really did not have a chance in them. The only positive was that we were able to keep the scoreline decent. Lots of changes were made to the starting lineup, we gave the younger players a chance and so we won in Bremen. This gave us a huge morale bost which we carried into the game against Augsburg and won it too. Confidence was growing again and so we were even able to grab a point in Leipzig despite having 30 shots against us. We expected a defeat against Bayern and thats exactly what happened. Then we went to Bochum and brought home another valuable point. Bundesliga Table Seven points to the relegation zone. Seven games to go.
  4. Nice to see your adventure going to Chile Wishing you all the best there!
  5. The Lilies January 2024 Transfers We had to get rid of some players. Most of which were complaining about playing more and we loaned them out or sold them. We also promoted 3 players from our U19s: Goalkeeper David Zimmer, central defender Philipp Christoph and winger Mateo Zelic. They got loads of potential and will train with the 1st team. Results What a result! We really defeated big Borussia! The game was somehow typical for us when all goes well: After boring them with short defensive passes, we suddenly broke away and scored a brace just before half time and another one just after it to shut them off and they could only manage a comeback with 2 goals which was not enough. I would have hoped for a win in the Hessian Derby against Frankfurt at home, but a draw is ok. And to end the month, we lost to Union. Not a good showing from us. We need points! Bundesliga Table Still looking good, but now the important weeks are ahead of us.
  6. The Lilies November & December 2023 Results 2 months, 2 wins in the league. What looks pityful on first sight is actually okay in connection with the 4 draws during that time. In the first game of the month we needed penalties to defeat Heidenheim at home in the 2nd round of the DFB Pokal. We drew Bayern in the next round, at least a home tie. Next we played Bochum at home, a seemingly "easy" game but it wasn´t. We were not able to score and so it ended in a boring goalless draw. The Mainz manager Bo Svensson was trying to play mind games with me before the match, labelling us "not good enough to survive" in the Bundesliga. Well, we taught them a lesson. The away game in Freiburg was nothing special but we came away with a point. Then came our best match of the season: We trashed Cologne in a rare moment of excellent finishing with Braydon Manu getting away with a 10. Next was DFB Pokal time - we played Bayern and we lost. No big story here. We could not find better form for the rest of the year as we drew away at Heidenheim, which counts as a success, lost to Wolfsburg at home and snatched a point at Hoffenheim which somehow made the end of the year somehow okayish for us. Bundesliga Table 7 points to the relegation zone. We had a good first half of the season.
  7. The Lilies September & October 2023 Results It is what it is and it is not great. But it does not look too bad for us either. Of course, there were 4 defeats and only 2 wins but look at the teams we lost against. Leverkusen for example - we held on to a draw until 5 minutes from time when they scored with only 10 men on the pitch. I guess that shows our inexperience. But we bounced back with a wonderful home win against favored Gladbach: The game was over after half an hour already. Three of our players even made it into the Team Of The Week! But then we went to Stuttgart and they showed us who we are again. And AGAIN we bounced back, this time against Bremen at home when we really showed our fighting spirit. With that confidence we went to Augsburg and snatched a nice draw there. But then against the big ones Leipzig and Bayern we did not really have any chance. Bundesliga Table This is a decent league position for us.
  8. The Lilies August 2023 Results 3rd Division side Unterhaching scared us a little in the DFB Pokal 1st round match when they leveled our lead quickly but we continued to play our game and it showed in the end. We will face Heidenheim in the 2nd round. The Hessian Derby against Eintracht looks closer than it was, Frankfurt was all over us and we should be happy with that result. In the game against Union at home we were confident and they did not really have a chance in a secure 2-0 win. The fans were delighted. Bundesliga Table It is nice that we already secured a win in the first 2 games.
  9. The Lilies July 2023 Transfers Note that all transfers happened before Baxter took charge. The Team Goalkeepers Schuhen is our first choice keeper without any doubt. Key Player: Marcel Schuhen Defenders Some good quality here. Klarer and Maglica are strong central defenders, Bader, Franjic and Holland look good on the full back positions. Lots of options there because of the versatility of many players. Key Player: Christoph Klarer Midfielders Kempe and Mehlem lead the way in central midfield. We might be lacking on the wings. Key Player: Tobias Kempe Attackers A lot of options for the lone striker role. Key Player: Oscar Vilhelmsson Rising Talent: Fabio Torsiello Tactics We will go with this. Pre-Season Friendlies We started slowly but then it got better.
  10. The Lilies It was time for a new Challenge. Darmstadt have just been promoted to the Bundesliga. And Baxter stepped up. History and Facilities of Darmstadt 98 It is going to be a hard task.

  12. DOF in Dortmund Season 2027/28 TRANSFERS Transfers Out - Transfers In Mihaylov - Netz - Sangaré - Kastenmaier - Soucek Pavlovic, Kessié and Reyna left for a combined 108M. We decided to rely on our young players and only brought in 4 proven quality backup players. Mihaylov is a great talent too. RESULTS Bundesliga Aug-Dec - Jan-May We again won the domestic title. We were leading from the start so that no real title race occured. Bayern also seem to fall behind Leipzig. DFB-Pokal This was unexpected. We cruised into the final only to lose it against Wolfsburg of all teams. Champions League After a good League Phase we made it into the round of the last 16 but fell to the eventual winners Chelsea. It was an exciting battle between 4 teams this time which we won in the end. DFB-Pokal We also won the Cup. The final was very one-sided. Champions League Finally we are getting better here. This time, after a good League Phase, we made it to the semi final which we lost against Liverpool. And we beat Barcelona. STATISTICS The stats look nice again. 14. DOF in Dortmund Season 2025/26 TRANSFERS Transfers Out - Transfers In Koopmeiners - Pavlovic - Baumann - George - Scalvini - Patterson - Klostermann - Dahoud A mix of old veterans (Baumann, Klostermann) and young talents. RESULTS Bundesliga Aug-Dec - Jan-May We are finally Champions of Germany. The gap to Bayern was a massive 7 points. They lost only 5 matches but had way to many draws. DFB-Pokal Better not talk about it. We lost in the 2nd round against St. Pauli of all teams. Champions League Again, we made the knockout playoffs after a mediocre League Phase. There we won the 1st leg at Lens and somehow lost the home leg 0-5! I don´t know what happened there. STATISTICS Great stats for our team this season. Konaté scored 26 goals and the new signings contributed massively. FINANCES We made a lot of money this season. A nice battle chest to spend on transfers next season. FACILITIES We were able to upgrade our facilities. YOUTH The Youth Intake was only "ok" this time and he is the cream of the crop. WORLD FOOTBALL Champions League winners: Real Madrid Europa League winners: Chelsea Europa Conference League winners: Monaco World Cup winners: Mexico
  15. DOF in Dortmund Season 2024/25 TRANSFERS Transfers Out - Transfers In Wanner - Mbe Soh - Weiper - Martial - Dumfries - Seimen - Bardghji - Konaté - Martel - Nelsson Some big names there (Martial, Dumfries), but our focus is mostly on young talented players. RESULTS Bundesliga Aug-Dec - Jan-May That´s more like it. We finished 2nd this time behind you-know-who but we clearly made a step ahead. We managed to only lose 2 league matches also. DFB-Pokal This time we made it to the semi final where the eventual winners you-know-who stopped us. Also an improvement. Champions League After a mediocre League Phase finish we beat YB Bern and then Tottenham before falling to AC Milan in the quarter final. STATISTICS An improvement on all fronts and here are the stats to prove it. Most of the new players performed convincingly. FINANCES After finishing 2nd in the league, reaching the quarters in the CL and selling players for nice bucks we made some good money. Especially our transfer budget is nice. FACILITIES They downgraded our training facilities AGAIN! But they still look good all in all. Gotta ask the board some questions. YOUTH The Youth Intake was again an excellent one, with a lot of promising talents, especially this one. BVB U19´s Brunner again won the POTY award. 16. Absolutely. Maybe I will have to fire the ass man soon
  17. DOF in Dortmund Season 2023/24 TRANSFERS No transfers this season. RESULTS STATISTICS It wasn´t a great season for the team and the stats prove that. Some players (Reus, Meunier) will leave the club at the end of the season as they are either too old or just deadwood. FINANCES At least something to be happy about. We made some good profit this season by finishing in 4th place. FACILITIES Our training facilities have been downgraded but we are hoping to get them back into shape this season. Overall the facilities are looking good for a team of our stature. YOUTH The Youth Intake was an excellent one, with a lot of promising talents, especially this one. BVB II got relegated from the 3. Liga, but Brunner won the POTY award. WORLD FOOTBALL Champions League winners: Manchester City Europa League winners: Liverpool Europa Conference League winners: Aston Villa EURO winners: Sweden
  18. Thank you Nice to have you here
  19. DOF in Dortmund This is exactly what it means: Joe Baxter has decided to take a more relaxed approach and become DOF in this save. Player and staff transfers and loans, employee management, stadium upgrades and expansions, affiliate and academy stuff. The rest (tactics, training, man management etc) is up to the manager. Or ass man in that case.
  20. Chhangte Singh what a player at 17!!! He is your key to India success
