I now have six out of seven available U20 staff. I've been promoted now and the Reserves tab on the left has now gone and Reserves is now found in Dev Centre. Still can't view staff profiles. To do so, I need to do a Staff Search and include staff from own club in search.

Is there a way of seeing a list of players one has manually asked one's scout to scout? I'd like to know how big my scouting backlog is.

I'm still not clear which players this trait benefits. For example, would these players benefit from Moves The Ball to Right Foot Before Dribble Attempt? Right Only-footed right-sided Wingback Right Only-footed left-sided Inverted Winger

Scout Player (for 1 Week)

I've played and completed this season's Rio State Championship - which includes top-division clubs - and participated in the national cup competition. Now I'm a few games into the national third-tier Serie C division. I did a quick google on Brazilian squad numbers to see whether lack of squad numbers was a thing in Brazilian football, but couldn't find anything. I checked out being manager of an English Premier League club. There's a Numbers tab for changing squad numbers in the Squad view. So I know where one should be able to change numbers now. My game doesn't have this Numbers tab. I checked out being a manager of another club in my league (Brazilian 3rd division) and it also did not have a Numbers tab. Then I checked out being a manager of a top-division club in the country and it did have a Numbers tab. So maybe I'll get the squad numbers option if/when I get promoted. I don't see why one can't assign squad numbers, anyway.

Surely, I should be able to assign squad numbers anyway? Squad numbers can be selected as one of the columns in the squad view. All my players have a hyphen (-) in this column. I've looked at other clubs in my league. They have squad numbers for this column, although they would have been assigned in the database before the game started. Players signed since the game started, however, also have squad numbers in this column.

Interesting. Sounds a bit gamey/exploiting an exploit, though, which isn't my playstyle. I'm starting to get some unhappiness with the squad players that I can't reduce Playing Time for without triggering the Discuss with player/potentially angry player option. I think this is the time to use that Discuss option. If it succeeds, then great - I have happy squad players. If not, then I will agree to sell them.

Isn't that what pre-season friendlies are for? (Not that one can't also do Match Practice session in pre-season.) So it would seem to be okay to do them every week then. I haven't set a Recovery session after, though. The default Training schedules with Match Practice don't have Recovery sessions.

That sounds good. One can't technically forbid players, only not assign them.

Where does it say that? I've looked in competition Rules tab, but there's no mention of squad numbers. I checked Brazilian top division Rules tab and there's no mention of squad numbers on that page either.

I created a club to play as in the lowest Brazilian division, starting the game with no players. I've played for two-thirds of a year now in-game, but I haven't had any messages asking me to submit squad numbers. The players I signed have squad numbers during matches. I have the In-game Editor and it has an option called "Allow Squad Numbers Anytime", which I presume means one can change squad numbers any time, but I can't see how to do this. How do I assign squad numbers?

Are there players from certain positions that you forbid from taking corners and throw-ins, even if they have good stats for it? My current thinking is... Corners: - no defensive players (no defenders, or defensive midfielders). Maybe the wingbacks when using a back three might be used. - probably best to have the striker in the middle, but if they are great at corners and not good at heading then they might be used. Throw-ins: - only players on that flank. Gets a bit tricky if there are players one uses on both flanks. - maybe a central midfielder or attacking central midfielder if they had exceptional Throw-in stats What do you think?

So you don't use it very often, since most weeks in a season will have matches? I've set it to have a Match Practice every time there isn't a game, based on a two-game week. So one Match Practice in a 1-match week and no Match Practice in a 2-game week. I notice that the default Tactical Style Training templates have a Match Practice session, but the Training Style ones do not.

To add, the default schedules still appear in the weekly Calendar tab drop-down options, but not in the Schedule creation tab.

I'm having the same issue. I made my first custom-made Training schedules. Now, all of the default Training schedules are missing.

How do I set up one of the scouts to scout the opposition? EDIT: I found it in: Scouting > Scouting Coverage > Match and Team Analysis

How often is it good to do a Match Practice session in Training? Do one before every match (in one match weeks, and probably none in two-match weeks)? I've seen some user-made Training schedules that omit it entirely. How often do real football teams do match practice?

Thanks. Fortunately, I'd set the Autosave to daily, so I can go back to the previous game day. I'd done a lot of work on training and tactics setups since then, but I should be able to redo most of it. It would be better if the captain choice selection came from players with a senior contract, rather than players in the senior squad.

Following from previous thread, I can't choose the captain or vice-captain I want. I'd accidentally put them in the Reserves a couple of game days previously and they aren't showing up in the list of players to choose from when I'm asked to pick the captain for the season. I can pick them as Captain/Vice-Captain in the Tactics screen, after moving them out of the Reserves, but not in the message that I have to reply to.

Not a biggie, but the players one has given a nickname to should have capital letters on the team sheet:

Right-click on player and I think it's in Squad options.

Never mind. They'd somehow got into the reserves. False alarm. Can't delete thread. Mods, feel free to delete thread, or leave it to serve as a warning to the others.

I can't choose the captain or vice-captain I want to. Their names don't appear in the list of options: I want to pick Esdras or João Sequeira as captain, but neither are available to choose in the list.
