  1. So far it’s been tough adjusting to the heat, my Scottish skin is not used to it quite yet. Normally takes 2/3 weeks much like it did when I worked in Brazil and Malaysia. Work is crazy so there is no point in starting a new save, I literally have zero time. I haven’t even set it latop up yet. 🙃 I have this Sunday off so I’ll go for a speed-play season
  2. I’m thinking about something similar in South America. But I really don’t have much time on my hands. In Angola I’ll be 12 hours 6 days a week. It’s not like Norway we’re I do 9 hours. i need to find a way of doing a seasonal update but still have it packing a punch with tactics etc. that way I could maybe write and play.
  3. The first season in Madrid was extremely successful, a league, Champions league and Spanish cup. League Table - Villarreal fought valiantly but in the end, came up short. Our stats overall were most impressive. Champions League - Things got off to a very shaky start, but we battled hard and in the end Franz made it four in a row. A huge amount of money was spent to achieve our goals, although our turnover covers the cost. We broke our transfer record for Tino to follow Franz. He did become world player of the year. The squad was aging at Madrid while packing some serious talent but I really dont have the time to deep dive at this moment as I head back to work. I'll do a squad overview. Urrita became our new number one, Granny, Fonseca and Marco joined tino in coming from Benfica to add some known quality. Issac, Marlon, Klynge added some Talent. Zarate came from our old rivals in an attempt to anchor the center of difference which became a weak spot. He broke his nations record. Squad Overview - As you can see a few legends remained in the shape of Vini Junior, Tchouaméni and Camavinga. Kulusevski and Scalvini had been added which made up the spine of the team. Carlos, Vegas and Ebrar Çalık were the big talents when i arrived. Sorry for the absolute rush of writing this i really just want the challenge done now, im bored of the save and want to start a fresh for FM24. I think all i require now is 2 league titles, 1 cup and one club world cup which i now qualify for.
  4. The season is finally done. Hopefully have it written up by Sunday. It’s gonna be very short and sweet am afraid
  5. Great club choice, a team I done many moons ago. Best of luck and following!
  6. Just caught up on everything! Fantastic winning the conference league. A little bit of a talent factory as the two new German lads look the part but how is muric doing? Way back he looked impressive!
  7. A fully fledged tactic man indeed! Interesting to see if your tweaks will continue to see so many goals flow!
  8. Quite the bit of catching up there. Excellent work with RFS, glad you decided to take the realistic move to the polish outfit, another place you can develop your style and grow the club. but my favourite bit your write up about your real life style. Wonderful insight
  9. Nice to see the builder continue! It’s a great idea. I never used to journeyman until I found the happel challenge, now every save I do will be a journey…. I think
  10. Yeah it’s been a slow burner this season. I have been home from work for two months, but with 4-6 month trip in Africa coming up I’ve been busy. I’ve had a good few holidays and been enjoying the weekends which leads to hangovers and less game time Plus since 24 came out I’ve felt the system Is so over powered I’m scoring over 200 goals a season in all comps. Plus everyone likes a new save for new game but I won’t have that till after the Africa work is done. There will be very little game time and Certainly no write up time but I may try 🤣
  11. Finally getting somewhere with the save again, the first season in Madrid is coming to a close. Battling Villarreal in the league and my fourth UCL final in a row, can i make it four wins in a row, which (regardless of my system being overpowered in FM24) would still be a mind blowing achievement.
  12. I’ve got two weeks till I’m off back to work to get the Happel challenge finished, then I’ll be working out what am going to do. Found out I’ll be getting every Sunday off work in Africa so I’ll take the laptop as it means at least one day of game time but not sure it allows me time to write about it.
  13. If I ever get round to a true FM24 save. I might just have to give the statman skin a go. Can a Tactic guy becomes stat guy? Asking for a friend
  14. I honestly admire the great Length and depths you go to. As football becomes more and more stats oriented the more chance you’ve got off become a true football analyst!
  15. A rough period no doubt. Is it purely down to player personnel or having you see bad patterns in your play? Especially with you saying you’re poor in front of goal. Mistakes as a manager very little you can do
  16. Absolutely flying at RFS! Shame about the defeat, but helps keep the feet on the ground.
  17. Manager of the year a nice way to celebrate your decade in charge
  18. Nice work at Metta after leaving the national Job. RFS is clearly somewhere you want to go. But I feel like you’ve started a nice project at Metta and the board seem to be backing you. Big decisions…..
  19. Sorry for the silence. Been on holiday in New York. Back to reality today and back to the game. Get this put to bed. Got a lot of catching up to do on everyone else’s threads and saves. But I can’t wait to see how everyone is doing in FM24
