  1. Read through this story in the last hour. I am a fan! It's a very unique challenge and while I'm sure it has been started before you have a commitment to plough through the seasons and have some disappointment, while already having a high level of success too that is very impressive. Also from my point of view it would be very hard to not get attached to a group of players at a team but I guess you might reunite with some of them at other clubs. Incidentally I also managed FC Anyang and got them promoted to the top league in Korea and ended up being there eleven years and winning the K League seven times in a row and the Champions League. One of my best FM teams.
  2. Had a read through this page all at once this past hour or so. Very interesting concept and way of playing. The analysis stuff is still something I myself need to learn to dabble into more. What I generally like to do is look at the end of season league stats in detailed view and see what players would be in a budget range who performed a particular task very consistently and that's been enjoyable but the way you do it is far more proper and provides answers to questions more efficiently. I like the club choice to move to as Hellas Verona as well purely because in my opinion they get a bit hard done by when people talk about Serie A's glory days. Everyone knows the story of Maradona leading Napoli to the Serie A title but Verona did it first a couple of years before without having a superstar in the team.
  3. Seeing a few of names in your leagues reminds me how much more variety the older FMs had in terms of getting random non league teams managed by the AI climbing up the pyramid compared to the recent games where frankly the Championship in my saves is pretty identical twenty years in from the first year.
  4. Good luck! I'm doing essentially the same challenge in FM22 which is ongoing still. I have won the league and the major cups in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Hong Kong. Currently in South Korea where I have won the league but not yet won the FA Cup. Once I do that it will be off to China and Australia to round this off but to give an idea of how tough it has been for me I am currently in the year 2063!
  5. Interesting idea. I like the overlap between managing obscure teams in obscure places that once had historical significance. It adds a new dynamic to a journeyman type save.
  6. I remember how FM 2010 was explicitly marketed as being a "polished" game to fix issues that were prevalent in FM 2009 when 3D first came into the game. And 2009 generally was the most forgettable FM. It felt very clunky to play and looking at Steam it was the lowest amount of hours I put into by far. In contrast for me 2010 was quite fun and a lot smoother to play. I wonder why SI don't do that same strategy of telling the fan base in advance that they will spend the development of the next edition cleaning up some persistent problems people have flagged up and in doing so any revolutionary changes can be pushed back a bit in a more forgiving way. At the moment is seems like they are neither evolutionary or revolutionary.
  7. I am enjoying my save on FM22 which is the first new FM I purchased in years. I will give 23 a miss until further down the line.
