Thank you for flagging and providing saves, we will put under review.

This has been happening pretty consistently across the board with players in this edition and at least the last one or two editions of FM as well. If you or a player move clubs things get masked up almost immediately, which is silly in general, but also when compared to all the random players you just have knowledge of to begin with despite having interacted with far less.

  2. Even though I've never once seen it when I want to offer it, this player opened discussions with the "find loan move" promise already on the table, so I know it does exist.

However, even the one solitary time it's appeared, it still does not work correctly, as the player who asked for it says he'd prefer to not go on loan!

None of the other 18 year olds (now see Kuittenen when he arrives in vps jan.fm) I've signed get any offers because clubs think they're not interested and all at 50/100 hatred toward me for even trying. It's still simply too difficult to loan out young players and this needs to be fixed after several editions of this being an ongoing problem.

  3. @Zachary Whyte Thanks for your detailed response!

If this is how it is currently set up, then it is my opinion that it should be changed as it is not intuitive/realistic.

Sometimes I'll respond to a transfer offer with a very high number simply to deter the offers because I am not interested in selling, but would sell if I got crazy money. The AI does this too - when the AI manager responds with an absurdly astronomical number I don't think the AI player gets upset about the asking price (though he may be upset if the deal is canceled if he wants to go). Obviously someone at some point in FM development understood this strategy when they coded the AI to use it - so why can't we?

If, as is often the case for me, the player is open to leaving but is not actively seeking a deal because they are happy to stay, they should agree with this - they're content to be valued as such because they don't mind sticking around, but if someone were to want them so badly they'd break the bank for them, then they'd consider going too. This seems very rational to me, and it's frustrating when we can't play the game the way we would manage realistically in real life, but have to play the game as if we are gaming FM because it works in an unrealistic or irrational way.

In many cases the player is explicitly not upset that I want them to leave, and they shouldn't be if I don't. And if they do want to leave they shouldn't be upset if I offer them for a value in line with their valuation.

And again, there's the argument that in FM too many people know about too many things. Would a player always know 100% of the time if I have a private phone call with another club? I doubt it, considering the stories of players being blindsided by being told they're already out the door.

  4. Scouted the players to see what their expected wage demands would be to ascertain if they really are out of range or not (their disinterest is because they don't think I can afford them, which is very frustrating - they should just enter negotiations and then reject them if you actually can't afford them), and I keep getting a red N/A for some reason...

Hello, could you please upload your save file showing this, thank you.

See any of my VPS saves. A recent one is "VPS nov.fm."

There are tons of guys like this with just blank knowledge for no discernible reason - these are just the first two I noticed.

This one seems to be working as intended, if you wanted him to sign a pro deal you should have waited until you turned pro. Not being willing to sign a new deal 1 month into a contract is fine.
I know you'll feel like it's unrealistic because IRL he would want a pro deal, but FM isn't set up to work in fringe scenarios like this. Give it a couple of months and he'll sign the pro deal :)

I would hope this isn't as intended - seems like an oversight to me.

For one, I didn't know the club would automatically turn pro and I didn't know it would happen before the season was over. This should've been explained.

And when something drastic happens that should reopen a sort of new enrollment period so to speak anyway - there should be a prompt like "would you like to offer these players pro contracts now that it is possible" and they should all be open to it given the context.

If the wages get raised higher than the clause, as seems to be the case here, the clause will be deleted.  Did you think you could give them a pay rise, then play them some games to lower their wages again? :)

I understand why that would be the case, but if it is, then it needs to be explained and clearly noted.

Wanting a new contract could also be related to getting a full time contract. But you are right, players don't seem to take wage rises into account when asking for new contracts. I'm not convinced that's a bug though.

Seems like an oversight if not a bug, assuming bug implies something that was meant to be there and isn't.

There are soooo many issues and quirks (as you are discovering) when you drop down to the lowest leagues, especially if you go outside England. That's part of the fun of managing these place, imho anyway.

The above two things seem to be universal issues across the board, though. Surely those two things don't work differently in the Prem?
