Season turnover date should be the 15th of December - has it not done so by then? It may be down to the custom nature of the db if that's the case.

It did eventually all switch over on Dec 15, but I'm using the default Finnish database as far as I know, no?

Still very clunky the way it switches over, I arrived after the season ended and did all my business after, or tried to (couldn't sign players who played for two clubs in the previous season even though they wouldn't even see the pitch for me until this was reset), but there was so much I was unable to do for so long or that shows up in last season's info, like my transfers, etc.

  2. I just added 100,000,000 to my bank balance and wage budget and still mediocre Finnish players based in Finland are telling me that my Finnish club doesn't have the financial package available to convince them to "relocate."

Meanwhile, even when completely scouted, the estimated wage demands show as "N/A," so I can't even use that number to set their wage if I were to use the editor to move them to my team.

Can you please tell me what I can do to workaround this bug? It's making it very, very difficult to sign players...

    See "VPS test."

  3. Now I am also encountering players that I cannot loan for no discernible reason. It is appropriate window, and I can loan other players, and players that have already played for two teams in one season say that, so what is the problem here..?

  4. In general I find this a bit buggy - I've spent a couple months wanting to loan a player in but I can't even click the button because he played for two clubs last season and the game won't switch over to the next season yet. Not sure why I wouldn't be able to just set the start date for the first game of the season of something and negotiate now.

Hey, here's a forum thread from 2014 complaining about this exact problem, because it's been an issue for-****ing-ever (and there's someone in the thread, a prolific poster, saying it's at least five years old!).  Here's a complaint from last year.  And 201820212019!

I hope you can get this addressed, Weston.  It's been a problem for a really long time.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy... I mean obviously there are reasons why a player might accept a lower wage (personal preference, playing time, league status, city, etc.), but for someone to say they specifically are basing their decision on money and then accept less to play for a worse club in a worse league, that can't be written off as a bid for more playing time, etc.

He said he wanted money and then chose not getting money. He said the money I had wasn't enough when it clearly was.

  6. Tried it again where I asked the agent for his thoughts and then IMMEDIATELY opened up negotiations and I'm still seeing WILDLY different results. What changed since we last talked? It's the same conversation!

This feature is completely unusable at present. Aren't players on trial supposed to accept slightly lower wages? This guy is straight up lying to my face within the same minute to go from 5-7k to 50k.

  7. Across the board, everyone who said they'd join for 20-30k at the start of the trial now want 80k or 180k or won't engage at all, and it's not clear why. Some say "things have changed." What's changed?

I stalled this long because, even though training has started for the new season, the game still hasn't switched over to the new season, so the bank balance and competition tables are all still the same for last season, so I was waiting for that update which still hasn't come yet in mid December...

  8. For clarity I have 200-400k available in the wage budget depending on which point you check. I added 1 million more to my wage budget to see what would happen and now he's asking for like 150k, which is outrageous.

It's clear that something is very broken here, and it's especially frustrating because the board won't let you use the money you have, so you can never meet anyone's demands even when you can afford them, and if you use the editor to greatly expand you wage budget so that the board maximums increase proportionately so you can get them to let you offer what you know you could already afford, the player somehow knows you've done this and then asks for more, so it's a never-ending feedback loop of unrealistic frustration.

  9. Just used the editor to add 1 million to my bank just to see what would happen and these no-contract nobodies still won't even enter negotiations because they think I have no money, so something is definitely broken somewhere..... Please let me know how to work around this (short of just using the editor to move them to my club, which would cut out the chance they could naturally pick another club over mine).

  10. Aside from the issue that the player is giving conflicting feedback and there is a missing dialogue option - is it possible that he changes his mind if we get promoted?

The only workaround I can think of is using the editor to remove all unhappiness, but I don't want to do that, as it doesn't really capture the nuance.
