  1. I've done episode 3. That Qatar bid guy is a joke. 'Yeh Angola was the turning point. They were enthused by my speech.' Phaedra Almajdi: 'Hassan (Qatar bid guy) offered $1.5m to each of the African ExCo voters' The French journalist defending Platini as well with that abysmal excuse about subliminal messaging and putting the blame at Sarkozy's door
  2. Incredible show of faith in Pau Torres and García to pick a midfielder over them
  3. Gonna do a pearcey here: Why is Griezmann still making this XI in 2022? He's not been good enough for a while now.
  4. You could have gone back one further. France in 1998 were winners and then finished bottom of their group in 2002
  5. That France team can line up in about three different ways, as either a back four, a back three with Lucas Hernández as the left wingback or a back three with Pavard as the right wingback.
  6. He never played as a winger at Udinese. He's never been one, he's a central midfielder. Whether you think he can play in a two or not doesn't mean he's now a wide player. Argentina have played those two loads of times together and it's never been a problem. The issue is picking Gómez and not someone else. But then it's Saudi Arabia and they should have enough to beat them regardless. They were inches away from ending the game in the first half and the conversation would be different
  7. I swear Poland do this every event they qualify. Have some good players, bit of build up going in, and then play some of the worst football in the tournament
  8. That's been the case in most top level football for a few years now. Boring, defensive rubbish isn't producing results the way it used to
  9. This is how I'd see it. Senegal bigger just because of how good France were going in, and Senegal being first timers. Saudi Arabia qualify pretty regularly.
  10. I would agree but it seems to depend if they get out the group. A lot are downgrading Senegal beating France because Senegal made the QFs and had players move elsewhere. If Saudi Arabia get out the group then surely the same applies here
  11. Di María didn't look fit. Romero struggled a bit too. Think Scaloni has decisions to make next match with the players who haven't played much
  12. Stopped after Rashford's goal but thought England looked good. Always hard to judge when you're playing rubbish teams but can't ask for much more than loads of goals. Better that than scraping a 1-0 win against a dire team
