The squad planner seems to be this years scouting meeting. Completely pointless. the scout meetings are a brilliant idea awfully implemented. I don’t need scout recommendations for players worth 5 million when I have 500k to spend. Or a recommendation of a player on 100k per week when my limit is 20k. it hasn’t been fixed for this year’s version and to me that’s completely unacceptable. Just another reason to not use the feature

Yeah they really should speed the time up between the teams being draw, cool little idea poorly implemented, where has that been said about new features in FM games. The time it takes to go through a draw people will just skip it.

Just like to say thanks for the skin. Too many skin makers, IMO, go too far away from whats needed and go overboard. This skin is close to the original and with some good tweeks makes it so much better. Will be interesting to see where you guys take it in the coming updates.

Thats what was causing the issue, i deleted the first part and that caused an error and I knew it was the right lines of code but the last widget. I'd never have gotten that lol. Thank you so very much.

Read in a thread that you must have the base game installed to use any of the resource tools. So if you are using the 2022 tool you need the full FM22 game installed for it to open. That information may help you.

Thank you, I managed to get most of it I still cannot work out the very top line, tried deleting a bunch of things and it causes an error. I'll live with that though as i've got the look better for myself.

Managed to edit a few small things on this to make it better for myself. Couple of things that I just cant work out. Has anyone done so? I managed to get rid of the "torn paper" on the right hand side of the top bar but cannot for the life of me find where the one on the right hand side is. Also the way the bar transitions from club colour to grey, anyone know how to make it just the colour of the team/competition you are in? Also on the 2nd picture below, couple of things I've tried to figure out and cant. Is it possible to move the top line to make it central like the rest of the top area? and Below the stadium picture where it says "EFL Championship" id like to add the competition logo above it. Anyone know the XML line/s id need to add to achive this? Thanks in advance.

Figured it out. I had to edit this line in client object browser <widget class="picture" file="boxes/custom/interface/background pattern/fm23/paper" red_replacement="primary" transparency="0.7"> I had to add the part in bold, seems to make the entire background the primary colour of whatever team is selected.

Not sure where to put this, its not a bug as such. Ive just finished my first season with Rangers. the commercial summary at seasons end say that we've sold 31,050 shirts. Which seems completely unrealistic. That story was found after a quick google search. One more thing, I dont tend to get into to much of a discussion over stats one thing I do think is off is James Tavernier's leadership. Id say that in terms of the Rangers squad that Davis, Goldson and McGregor are clearly 3 of the main leaders in that dressing room but Tavernier is close to them. Id suggest that with 18,17 and 17 for the earlier 3 there's an arguement to be had that Tav should be just behind them (16 maybe). One thing that happens because Tavernier has a lower leadership number is that you constantly get messages to replace him as captain. That shouldnt be the case.

Im having trouble trying to change the sidebar to the primary colour of each team. Ive got the icons changed to the secondary colour, anyone point me in the right direction on what file to edit and what to edit. Thanks in advance.

I assume this has been mentioned? I’m in April of the first season, I’ve signed two players that will come in the summer. Both were for fees and at the conclusion both selling teams asked if the player could be loaned back until the end of the season. problem, the transfer window is closed and they won’t be moving until the summer anyway.

Anyone seen this... Was in the Champions League, finished 3rd so dropped into the Europa League first knockout stage. Got knocked out in that round but my board has said that i failed to "reach at least the knockout stage of the Europa League"

I believe some can and some cant. It depends on if the deal has a "loan cannot be terminated" clause in it. I have two players on loan at my team at the start of the season and both can be terminated.

Been playinng for a little bit, one of the things and its small that jump out to me during press conferences. When one of your players plays well a positive response is "I wouldnt swap him for anyone, not even *insert superstar player here*". Please SI remove that response, I dont think ive ever heard a manager say that their league two striker wouldnt be swapped even for Harry Kane. Small but an absoltely irritating option to have there.

As above, I think Konami hold the license for the J League and until that’s over the J League won’t appear.

Surely its two entirely different teams that work on the look of the game and what happens under the hood of it? Every aspect of the game should improve year on year and if people are honest with themselves I dont think that can be said about Football Manager.

Over the years SI's communication with its customers has gotten worse to the point that we're just a few weeks away from realease and we've seen next to nothing of the game and heard just a little more than next to nothing about it. I could be completely wrong but that suggests a sense of entitlement. They expect and know that no matter what people will still purchase the game because, what other options do we have.

The question that everyone should ask themselves is, even the people that work at SI... Is the graphical side of Football Manager the best version of itself that it can be in the year 2022. The answer is either Yes or No.

There is zero doubts that the graphical side of FM needs a big upgrade. Im unsure why anyone would argue against that. The graphic/match side of things has looked almost the same for years now and thats not a good thing. There's a few games out there that have looked the same for a few years, MLB The Show being one but that gets a pass because im not sure where else they could go with the look of it. FM on the other hand? The stadiums look awful, the crowds look awful, the players still skate on the pitch. There's a long list of things that dont look right and as the years go by it looks like SI dont really feel like there's a problem. I mean they've put out the info that you manager can no have a watch and gloves... Really? Adding things to something you see on the loading screen and thats it. If they think that these are important additions then there are some real problems with the team that work on the graphical side of the game.

Is it a little too much to ask that this be fixed at some point in the future? My first choice LB and they think this offer will get him? Surely anyone at SI can look at this and realise that its a big problem and has been for as long as I can remember. You want one of my first team players, make an offer that makes sense.

I really hope the recruitment meetings have been fixed and the information that comes into to you fits within your budget. We recommend you buy X, who costs 20m. Sorry buddy but we've got 2m to spend. Thanks for all your hard work!! Its a brilliant concept, awfully executed, like many features in the game to be honest.
