    Hi.

have the in-match graphics been downgraded since the update to accommodate lower spec tablets?

is there ever going to be an option to allow users to choose quality of graphics depending on quality of tablet?

has the ME been simplified since the update or is it identical to the full fat version?

    TY

Not meant to be aggressive questions btw. I think the game is great. Just curious.

What are you on about? The game is unplayable. Can’t do any tactics due to bugs, you click on your team and suddenly you’re playing the game due to another bug. List goes on. The game should never have been released like this as I expressed in an earlier post.

you ever know a FMT have an App Store rating of 2.5 after 2 weeks of release? That should tell you everything you need to know.

The bugs are one thing. My reply was talking about the content (match, UI etc) which I think will be a big leap forward.

yes it’s buggy. Yes it’s taking time to fix. But this isn’t a money spinner for SI. limited resources and time this year in particular. Don’t get mad about it. We just have to be a bit patient. If it sold 1 million copies like full fat then changes would be made quicker. They’re not doing this deliberately.

Really annoying. I always expect some bugs with a new FM, as that seems to be the rule every year. But never taken so long. Not playing a game before the update this year, as there are way to many bugs. When you add all the features they have taken away to, it use isn’t a good product. Really disappointed with SI this year. The removal of bonuses in contracts makes it way harder being a small team. Seems they have made the game simpler this year. Just lowered the quality so it will not compete with the full version? Never been so disappointed in my years with FM/CM, Going back to CM94 EOS.

In 2 sentences you say they’ve made it way harder being a small team and then say they have made the game simpler 😂. Then you say your going to play the most simple version in history.

as far as I can see the contract negotiations were basically a work around to keep great players on the cheap.....totally unrealistic.

Sometimes I feel sorry for SI. last year it was me complaining. Now I’m happy (along with many others) but a new horde are moaning.

    they cant win.

The ME looks as though it’s far better than FMT20. The UI I like a lot, it’s buggy which can be patched and will, I think it’s a very clean look. For the most part it’s definitely an improvement.

But I don’t want some things like training (can’t train a player on their weaker foot) or the transfer/contract engine to be too simplified. I don’t want it to feel like a freemium game.

Lol come on Joe! This ain’t got the feel of freemium. Even in a bad year FMT is one of the best games in the App Store. And this is not a bad year!

Youre saying all the big things are much better, UI and ME etc. I’m pretty confident training and contracts will be updated as they can’t be major drains on resources.

🤞 so you love it too

That’s fair enough, the ME has been greatly improved and from what I’ve read is far better than FM20. But, transfer negotiations are a massive part of football. I can pay a player less a week and move his salary into bonuses/clauses to save money on my weekly wage budget, but due to streamlining in FMT21 I can’t do that. The overall game looks impressive, but these features being stripped back is a turn off.

The Shouts feature is a gimmick, if they’ve stripped features back for that then IMO that’s embarrassing.

The ME has been greatly improved and it’s nice you acknowledge that. I get what you’re saying about negotiations being a massive part of football but I’m also sure you’d agree that the match is the most important bit.
im still not seeing where the key features are missing (apart from the many bugs).

i hope I’m not coming across as argumentative Joe. I get your points and I’ve been hyper critical the last few years. But if I’m happy to be critical (I found the ME appalling) I think it’s right I should be complimentary when changes have been made.

I like the shouts. Someone said they’re too overbearing and influential and now you say they’re a gimmick. IRL Managers shout a lot. It changes the way a team plays. I think it’s great SI are adding to the match experience. That’s the point of FMT. tactics, transfers and the game itself.

Under pressure? That’s pressure they’ve brought on themselves for ripping features out of a game for streamlining purposes. FMT20 was a whole lot of fun, there was no need to dumb down any feature of the game.

The new additions to this years game I like, but I feel this version is one step forward two steps back. Most the bugs/glitches, as you say, will eventually be ironed out. The concerning thing is there doesn’t seem to be any intention to add the features removed as they were taken out by design. That’s my issue that the development team on this years game seem, from the outside, to have taken inspiration from EA in the art of removal of features while boasting its more in depth than ever before.

I can’t see any major features missing. They’ve added shouts. What am I missing here??  @StuartMurraymentioned a few but I think they’re mostly bugs. Apparently contract renewals have been stripped back but I’d take a better more realistic  ME, graphics and shouts over detailed contract renewals any day of the week.
I find this love of 20 with its repetitive matches, incessant feeding of ball to wings, no obvious differences between players ability and poor graphics really strange. If you’re missing depth there is a game for you......FM20!

Just to be clear as well, I absolutely love FMT. I’ve bought every version that’s been released on iOS and played the mobile version prior. I hammer the game each year and never have had a negative word to say. Of course there are always a few issues on release, I get that. This year has been a big disappointment so far. Released almost 2 weeks ago and I’ve not played a competitive match yet, I’m finding it unplayable until the bugs are resolved.

I’ve stopped playing as well due to,the bugs. It was clearly released a bit too early but they’re under so much pressure from super fans!

I think of it as an unofficial beta,

I think some of the things you mention will be resolved by update. I think it’s good the game has changed, otherwise it’s literally just an update. It was time to be a bit brave, and then go,for small and incremental again next year.

The graphics are hardly that much better! The amount of ‘streamlining’ has made the game closer to mobile than the full version.

I have to say I really disagree. It’s a challenge for SI because one game can create such opposing views 😂. The match has better effects, shading, representation and looks much more like the pc version. I think that’s great.

I’m also using an iPad Pro 2020 (11”) with FMT21 and having a completely different experience when it comes to battery drain. I posted about it yesterday here: https://community.sigames.com/topic/542492-extreme-battery-drain/

Does your device get extremely hot when viewing matches in 3D? Have you checked how many % your battery drains during a match? Weird to see such a different behaviour on the same device.

Yh really weird. Heats a little but nothing close to excessive and battery drain slightly higher than last year.

  10. The battery on my iPad Pro 2020 seems fine under FMT21. I’m really concerned that the undoubted quality of the new game will be compromised to account for weaker batteries. Perhaps (and I don’t want to use this word) a tiered system will work best. So higher spec tablets get full graphics etc. Those with older machines, can choose a less intensive ME/ graphics?

There is no anger here maybe a little disappointed but I respect the developers and the hard work they put in. But not just me but lots more people have been waiting to play this game since it was announced that It will be out on the 1st and now we got to wait a bit longer for a update which I’m happy to do so.

Fair comment again! Fingers crossed update comes soon

I agree it’s the small things that make a big difference like the latest scores all being 0-0 what happens when your in the final game of the season and need to win and hope the other team loses to get promoted or win the league and you can’t check, It takes the fun away from it. What is one thing that you’ve picked up on that makes it unplayable?

    Fair comment. So the choices are;

    ask for refund.

wait until bugs are resolved (and they will be)

play the game in the knowledge it’s not yet complete.

I just don’t think the devs deserve anger or demands. It’s a complicated year and you have to admit the game has changed radically.

  13. Your opinions are valid but I don’t think it’s unplayable. People seem to have very extreme opinions on the forum.

There will be updates with fixes. It’s good that the shouts don’t have a massive impact. Each input should create small changes not wild swings. I’m sure the weather and highlights will return.

the timings are wrong i agree but that will be fixed sad in the meantime just pretend they’re at other times

your ipad sapping energy reflects how intense the game is. That’s a good thing. Would you like them so simplify the game so it uses less electricity? That would be a step backwards, I don’t think si can be blamed for not always taking weaker machines into account. gaming should push barriers. Maybe your iPad would cope better with the mobile version?

the game has leapt forward this year. Your complaints are legitimate nut let’s celebrate the significant developments
