I know it’s a different game, but on Fm2020 I took the Nigeria u20 job for a bit of fun about 8 years into a save, when I looked at the national pool all I could pick from was players in England with Nigerian eligibility. Not a single Nigerian generated in Nigeria. When you look in real life, lots of Nigerians begin their careers in the Nigeria League. This was the same for Ghana, Cameroon etc and it was really annoying, so I guess this hasn’t changed 2 years later I also note as you say, countries like Mozambique, Burkina Faso were generating local based players

Thanks, I've looked and cannot see any League updates on there at all yet for FM23? Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place if you can advise

Hi, I haven't bought an FM since 2020. I used to download a league megapack every year by a legend who used to make them called Claassen. I am not sure if he still makes these megapacks, so for FM22 and then FM23, is there someone I should keep an eye on or a place best placed to keep an eye on for when the FM23 version will be released? Thanks

It seems ridiculous, and I suppose it is, but when you look at that run Tunisia had it's not completely out of this world. France and Denmark are obviously big favourites to get through that group but Tunisia getting a result against Denmark isn't inconceivable, in fact they only drew to the biggest underdog in the group in Australia. You'd be hard pressed to find an easier run of Mexico, USA and Croatia in the knockouts of a World Cup. Then if you take the Germany game in isolation it's a one off match, and we see upsets on a weekly basis in football. If we could run the 2022 World Cup 100 times in real life, you'd see some odd winners for sure

If that is a coincidence it's a very weird one. Especially the range of nationalities too. 2 from Zimbabwe and then every other nation is unique! Best prospect not born in the region either

How are you liking the new game? Does it feel different to FM22?

I can't believe even with the FMFC blog today they've still failed to acknowledge anything about dynamic youth rating. Something they made a big deal about prior to FM22's release that was debunked on forums and a very popular video from Zealand. Have they fixed the issues with it? Will it be the same as FM22? The latter seems more likely

Nation scouting is all well and good to scout countries like Brazil, Germany, France etc. But with that system, how would you find a wonderkid from say Slovenia for example? Or Morocco, 2 countries that can produce great footballers. You can't have an unlimited number of scouts so is the only way to do this changing the nation for each scout every few weeks or so? Or is there a better way

Basically yeah, it seems like they've seen a backlash they've never experienced before and paid the big FM 'influencers' a few quid to say some good things about the game after they previously made videos saying they were underwhelmed by the headline features They've not even spread out the time of the releases, all in one go.

I've not bought since FM2020, that's mainly because of enjoyment of a long term save and time rather than not being impressed by any new updates. But my long term save is coming to end so I had the mindset that i'm definitely going to buy FM2023. However the headline features were so disappointing i'm honestly considering just starting a new save on FM20. Last year the announcement of dynamic youth rating made me come so close to getting it later on in the year but when I started to see lots of comments that this didn't actually work at all it made me glad I didn't bother.. Think you're always gonna get a % that will buy no matter what, but they need to do a lot better for those of us who are more reluctant than the headline features that got announced this game

That's a shame, are similar kinds of updates going to come elsewhere? I was really excited by the update about dynamic youth ratings last year (Which didn't end up happening) but that's another story, things like that are what encourage me to buy the game as currently the feature headlines don't

Miles Jacobson on twitter normally does twitter feature updates, can range from anything pretty important to something as random as a fix to the Peruvian Reserve League, anyone know if this is happening again this year?
