Master Blasta
What is everyones favourite moment beating the scousers?? For me its was Wembley 96 with Cantona's winner, closely followed by the cup game in 99. Wish I had been alive to see the final in 77 when we stopped them winning the treble. Worst moment would be the end of the 91/92 season when they beat us two nil. End of a horrible week were we basically threw away any chance of the title. The mood at the final whistle and on the way home was something I will never forget. My uncle told me that day that the title was perhaps never meant to be. Oh how wrong he was. snipersdream
Favourite: Maybe the 1-0 in March '94. Questionable goal iirc, and just two months after that 3-3 nonsense. Not just because it stopped Liverpool doing the treble (although at the time the league/cup double was still the "holy grail", so people were more talking about the double), but also because the winning goal was such a fluke. Macari's shot was going wide before it hit Jimmy Greenhoff. And before Keyser chimes in, even i'm not talking from memory, i've seen it on video since. Even i was only 5 at the time while the 96 cup final was great because it's beating them in a cup final, and for Eric, my fave is still 1st jan 1989, winning 3-1 when the team we put out shouldn't have had a prayer. Russell Beardsnore was fffffb.

Scatter
even though winning the 96 cup was fffffffb and all that - especially after the scouse and their white suits - it was a pretty dire match all the same. picking a best is difficult. the solskjaer 99 and dudek vs forlan moments all rank pretty high in recent times, but the 4-0 win in 2003 was pretty much confirmation that we had it in us to stop them arsenal the league. plus it's always good to give em a drubbing. worst is easily a 3-1 loss thanks to barthez. i think it was the riise free kick game. we absolutely mullored them but a howling error from barthez made it 3-1 and the game was done... The 25-year-old emerged a target for Liverpool earlier in the season after a red-hot start to the campaign. The goals have rather dried up for him of late with the hit-man having managed just one since early October, but his attributes continue to draw the scouts to El Coliseum. United reportedly dispatched Sir Alex Ferguson's brother Martin to run the rule over him in last weekend's 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo, and the reports returned were favourable. A powerful, mobile frontman, Riki is also capable of playing wide on the left which is likely to curry favour at Old Trafford with Ryan Giggs a shadow of his former self this term. The player himself has conceded he knows nothing of United's interest and only recently penned a new deal that ties him to the Primera outfit until 2009, increasing his release clause to €12 million (£8 million). "I do not know anything," he declared when quizzed about the United link. "What I want now is for Getafe to win games." The Madrid minnows have stated publicly that they have no intention of selling the former Real Madrid player until the end of the season at the earliest, but some sources in Spain claim they would consider doing business for a fee in the region of £4-5 million.' </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Hope he doesn't bring Bianca
