[FM24] Poland - Youth Only - My first youth only save aka, how bad can you be :D:D - Notec Czarnkow

Hello and welcome to my save.

After following a few amazing youth only saves around the forum, I was thinking to try it as well. I might fail miserably, but I am not afraid to fail so If that happens then the save will be cut short  I hope though I will manage at least one season.

I am using a DB from @Bigpole that extends the Polish League to 4th tier, as I couldn't find anything decent with lower leagues. (I was considering creating that myself, but cba to work with buggy editor) 

I don't know how frequent the updates will be, however I have only loaded Polish leagues for speed. (I think that is what most do with youth only) 

I really look forward to have break in scouting, but I am not looking forward to more contract negotiations, from what I gather my team will be slightly larger.

This is also my first FM24 save so I will be learning it as I go along.

The club I picked is Notec Czarnkow for few reasons.

1. Poor Training and youth facilities.

2. Relatively small stadium

3. They only won 1 trophy, last year they won Polish 5th tier to get promoted, so the expectation is that they will get relegated.

4. They are from Wielkopolska (Greater Poland area) and I know few people from that town

Will look closer at the team at a later stage.

Every year I always hold out a faint hope that SI will add at least the 3rd tier in Poland. Maybe this year I'll have to give one of these community created databases a try.

Good luck with the Youth only save. I did one for a few seasons in FM22 before moving on to FM24 and I still think about going back to it.

Not a chance right now, lack of researchers limits adding anything below 2nd level to vanilla database.

But the community files are completely fine, the only thing not 100% reflected is

- the schedule (because lower leagues can have different start date year by year)

- dynamic regional promotion/relegation (because it's very hard to set this in database and in the editor)

- pro junior system (it's more complicated now + in III liga it works different, and it's not possible to create a different pro junior system rule).

 

I suggest trying one of the databases yourself, click around, and find out if it works for you. I know mine is down to III Liga, Bartek has created down to Liga Okręgowa (not all divisions are created though).

No probs  I think I used yours in my FM22 save also! 
I did check out Barteks DB as well however I did not like it much unfortunately despite it goes down to 6th tier. 
Any chance that you will be developing anything lower then 4th tier? I dream of having full Polish system going down to B Class. I do understand however how much work is involved in that and how buggy the editor can be.

No probs  I got Bigpoles DB from steam, but I think you can get Barteks from FM Scout, that's where I got it.

Pro Junior System should work okay down to II Liga (because I've copied the system in II liga and just set the correct prizes), but in III liga you it's not u21, it's actually u19 requirement. And in each league there are specific requirement to qualify for points (minimum number of minutes and matches).

Editor just crashes when there's more than around 100 leagues in the same level, so creating anything below Klasa Okręgowa is virtually impossible (A Klasa is probably on the verge of crashing).

And another problem is the sheer number of things you need to create, all levels contain around 5500 teams, so you need to create 5000 teams (+ cities and stadiums). This is an insane amount of research and work (because you need to create regional cups as well). And to be fair, fixing editor crashes because there are few people in the world that want 100 divisions in certain level, it's not and shouldn't be at the top of priorities of SI.

So yeah, one can dream.

I can't remember which FM it was but it had some sort of DB which went down to A or B class. Old times though.

Squad Update

Not much to work with to start off, we have 15 players in the first team,  The good thing is that they are all pretty young with the eldest being 29 yo. Our youths prospects are not quite cut for it and are well away from playing senior football. 

Players by CA 

We have 2x 4 star CA players 3x 3.5 star Ca players in the club 

Players by  PA 

We currently have 1x 5* PA player 3x 4.5* PA player 4x4* PA players. There are also a couple of youth players that stand out from the bad bunch with 3.5* Ca, they also standout with being Unamb.

I will have to move some players up to first team anyway as I doubt that we will be able to complete the season having just 15 players.

Polish Third Division Group 2

We are doing quite well, Unbeaten month, however 3 games out of the 3 were against teams currently in relegation zone. Happy with win against Pogon 2 as our defence was made of 15-16 year olds.

Much worse month this month, however considering we were predicted last it is still a massive overachievement. 34 points is our goal which should be enough to stay up.

Mixed month, however we still at the top half of the table which is really good, surprisingly the wins this month, were achieved by our second best team....

Played bunch of friendlies., over 3 months, also tried hitting the board with improvements but they will not budge I  guess due to finances. We are about 60k in debt, I think I might try to find a senior affiliate to help with finances. (not that I will use them)

S1 - March 2024

Went a bit too ahead of myself and played April game. However after the break we are doing really well, and from nowhere we are fighting for promotion. Youth intake is around the corner. 

 

 

 Team Update 

I am rotating between the teams, despite first team being pretty decent in terms of CA, most of the players contracts run out in the summer. What is worse, they don't want to re-negotiate and now started getting messages about not having the financial muscle to re-sign them. We might be in big big trouble next season.

He is already better then what we have in our Team B, so he will be jumping in straight away.

Overall I think they are decent prospects, however we are a Semi Pro team so it is quite unlikely I think that they will develop properly.

Almost perfect month, we have beat Zawisza again and passed them to become top of the table. Despite doing so well, I still can't resign any player contracts so I guess even if we get promoted we will  most likely be back.

After going top we have been absolutely spanked by Elana, with 2 games left we are 3rd with 2 points gap to the top and worse goal difference then Elana. We need to win our games and hope for the results elsewhere.

 

 

A takeover might be coming. I hope that will be willing to invest some money into some facilities  The current board done next to nothing, but we are about 100k in red atm.

All in all I think it was good season, we didn't get relegated. Bad thing is that we didn't improve any facilities as of yet. Contracts are still not re-negotiated with the squad so next season might be a real challange

Yes it will  Luckily I managed to re-sign some first team players to help us out next season. With just youths we would probably be fighting against relegation as they lack a lot of quality.

S2 - Preseason 

 

Not much happening in the pre-season. We have managed to re-sign majority of the players. Also we are no longer last in league predictions ! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Squad depth

 

GK. Kolodziejczak is our main man, Other players are too young and don't have any ability nor potential drop into GK position at any time. 

 

DR. Krzysztopowicz is the first choice and Sadowski second. Olszewski(01g) and Tomaszewski are more suited as DC rather than DR

 

DC. Gruntkowski and Kowalski are the pairing for Team 1 and Olszewski and Tomaszewski are the paring for Team2  We still lack a lot in this area. 

 

DL. Kowalski(01b) is a DC so Kamil Cierpka is our top DL despite being Unamb.

 

 

MC. Krug and Piekarski are playing in Team1 Zachcial is training to play DC as we don't have many options there. Luczak(01c) jumps into Team2. 

 

AMC. Zenger and Burzynski are our main picks, Trela(01f) is playing as ST. 

 

AMR/L. Mierzwa is the main man at the moment. Many players here but most are missing ability and potential. 

 

ST. Happy that we managed to re-sign Kacprzak and Kaczmarek as they are key for our goal scoring ability

 

As you see it was really crucial for us to re-sign some players from last year as we are strongly missing quality youth players.

What a start to the league !! 5 wins ins 6 matches. The only loss was against Sokol Kleczeww but I fielded Team 2 for that clash. 

 

 

 

Transfers 

The only transfer so far was Mateusz Walczak, he was poached by Carina Gubin, we could not do much to stop that. He is still young and full of potential however he was playing mainly for Team 2

A great way to start the month with win over Lech II however it went downhill from there. 3-3 draw against last Chemik, and the unconvicing 4-3 win against Unia Solec. on the top of that we also dropped from the FA Cup. A

S2 - October 2024

Polish Third Division Group 2

Relatively short month comparing to others. 2 wins and a draw. Also a loss against team currently in 17th hurts.  Despite our weaker performance we still remain top. 

 

 

Dynamics. 

Currently we have 2 unhappy players and I may have p***ed off one of our main players. Although I don't remember making him any promises. Both are first team players.

For D. Kolodziejczak, we can't do anything about it. we lack quality in defence and we know that. 

for Eryk Kryg., he is unhappy that we didn't by a new goalkeeper, but I don;t have a clue when I promised it. Maybe in contract negotiations? I do however remove all promises out of the bat when doing contracts so not too sure.
Lucky that he has another promise... so maybe that will make him stay next season.

Really good month. 3 wins in 4. We played second team against KP Starogard and after a loss I gave up on the idea of 2 teams.  We don't have the quality to field 2 teams.  We are spending winter top of the table with 3 points gap from Sokol Kleczew. 

 

 

 

Again I have asked for facilites and again i have been declined due to finances

Balance is gradually going down. Can't do much about it. Polish football has 0 money in it

We had a 3 month winter break with lots of friendlies. Also transfer window is gone and luckily we have not lost any of our starters. We have dropped off the form at the beginning what did cost us top spot in the league. However we managed to  convincingly win agains  Pogon Nowe Skalmierzyce(16th)  and Vineta Wolin(15th) 

We are 2nd as it stands. Everything is still open.

S2 - Youth Intake

Not much here to work with unfortunately at this point. Lucky that we have decent players that can sort of fight for the promotion. But our future does not look bright at all. 

 

 

 

 

Out of the ones with 3 and 2.5 star potnetial I think Radzinski(02e) has a slight chance of making it ever to first team, but all in all, these players are quite far off the level they need to be to even play in our division.

April is much better, with 3 wins out of 4 and 2 clean sheets. However again our wins were against teams from lower end of the table (Except Lech) . We still 2 points behind Sokol Kleczew however we play them away next month. Actually next moth will be much more difficult as we also take on Warta Sieradz(4th) at home 

 

 

 

Finances 

Finances went to red, however we are still in much better position then we were at the same time last year!

A perfect month and a win ! against Sokol Kleczew. Oh did we not jus FM them ? 4 goals out of 5 shots on target is pretty impressive.  That means that we claim back the top spot, and we have 2 games that we have to win to win the title and get promoted !

We won the lague and got promoted with 1 game to spare!  Sokol have drawn against 3rd placed Pogon to hand us a title. Following on from that is us, turning fully pro, what means that we will be able to train more, so our players might actually develop a bit.

Thanks ! I think we might be able to stay up, until we keep our players  next season. Hopefully the board will allow us to improve some facilities, as they are still really poor, and I think we will be going down the leagues pretty quickly in the future.

We have rotated the team for the last game as we already clinched the title and lost the last game. All in all we just edged to win the title.

S3 - Preseason 

Very short pre-season, we only managed 3 friendlies. We are bottom in promotion odds as expected. I am hoping for 34-36 points to stay up next season. 

 

 

We are not last in terms of Sponsorship Income what is not too bad to be fair. Money is a big problem for us atm.  

 

Some players were released. I will be releasing more as it becomes available as the board thinks we have enough youth players and doesn't want to invest anymore. I will also be more selective as to who we sign from the youth intakes.
