Liga Finalización. Our form is average, but that's no good when those we're competing against are winning most of their games. :(

Copa Dimayor. We sneaked a tight game, but we lost the 1st leg 6-2 so we're still out. :(

Liga Finalización. I actually don't think we're in great form, but despite that we won all 5 league games this month without conceding a goal. It meant that we finished 3rd in the 2nd phase of the league/

f4c141d5818d7e4e9868cb2a68cd59cd.png

Deportivo Cali seem really unlucky to be relegated having finished 9th in the 2nd phase of the league, but they only earned 10 points in the 1st phase so maybe not so unlucky.

I quite like the idea of the Overall League Table, but the bit that grates with me is that the extra games played in the Finals are included. It seems to skew the playing field too much, (but maybe that's because we weren't in it and I would feel differently if we were benefiting from the advantage). Junior FC won 1 of the 2 legs of the Final, (earning them the 3 points that they lead us by). We still have the 6 Semi-Final games to play, (and then the 2 legs of the Final depending on who makes the Final). Junior FC are in our Semi-Final group, so we play them twice and if we get positive results against them it could go a long way to securing our 1st title because Deportivo Independiente Medellín, (who are just 1 point behind us in the Overall Table), are in a Group with Millonarios FC and that will hopefully put a dent in their points total.

Youth Intake preview.  We have an "A" player and a 5.0 Intake rating, but I'm not sure how much this matters.

Liga Finalización. Semi Final Group. Our form in the Semi-Final Group was decent, and 2 wins against Junior FC was not only enough to see us top the group and qualify for the Final, but it also closed the gap in the Overall Table to just 2 points. We would play Atlético Nacional in the Final over 2 legs, and even just 1 win would be enough to see us top the Overall Table and be crowned Champions, (and I think that's the bigger target than winning the 2nd phase Final).

Junior FC have played 2 more games than us and sit 2 points ahead. We still have to play the 2-legged Final against Atlético Nacional so we will also have played 54 by the end.

Wow, you caught up to Juniors! At one point they were ahead by 13 pounts! Good work!

Yes and no.  It's a little complicated/

Yes they were ahead by loads, but that was the 2nd phase rather than the whole league.

We actually won the 1st Phase and finished 6 points ahead of them. (+6 pts

c7cf6c3517f189b5f6815f15d4dcfe1f.png

They actually finished the 2nd phase 8 points ahead of us and it could have been 11 points but they lost to Deportivo Boyacá Chicó FC on the last game of the 2nd Phase season, (so they still have a 2 point advantage). (+6 pts -8 pts = -2 pts)

fbeae0080a4f28d241a7c68b7110e40b.png

It's not just the 1st and 2nd League phases that count towards the Overall League title though.

Also included is the 1st Phase Semi-Final League Stage

1a0efa87940b8bebd003ac46f7fb6ac4.png

They earned 1 more point than us in this stage. (-2 pts -1 pt = -3 pts).

And also the 1st Phase Final.

a4aabfda2e59cf977213cc5943c0164d.png

After these are considered their 2 point advantage has grown to 6 points, (because all the different games in all the different stages are included)....I think.   (-3 pts -3 pts = -6 pts).

Because we have included the 1st Phase Semi-Final Group Results, we also have to include the 2nd Phase Group Results.

b3a02bc720c1aca8a47a00e57b2ff772.png

We earned 1 more point than them. (-6 pts +1 pt = -5 pts).

And lastly we have to include the 2nd Phase Final results. (-5 pts + 3 pts = -2 pts). I think my maths is wrong somewhere.

2969c1cae3f6fb02041beb1793ee85d5.png

Let's have a look at the overall league table and see what we have missed.

c41b0728f3f7b74838ed5980d6f80f9c.png

4 of the top 5 Teams have played 54 games in the season, (2 more than Independiente Medellín), because while all 5 played in both Semi's the other 4 top 5 sides each played in 1 Final, (+2 games), while Independiente Medellín only got as far as the Semi's in each Phase.

That works well with the comparison to the teams at the bottom of the league who each played just 40 games, (2 lots of 20).

So the +14 games are 6 games in the 1st Phase Semi, 6 games in the 2nd phase Semi, and then 2 games for 1 Final reached = +14 games.

Let's do it a different way.

Envigado FC. 44 points + 11 points + 0 points + 43 points + 13 points + 3 points = 114 points
Club Deportivo Popular Junior F.C. 38 points + 12 points + 3 points + 51 points + 12 points + 0 points = 116 points:confused:

I thought I had this sorted, but obviously not. I thought it was just my maths not adding up but it would seem to be something else.

Ok. Let's try this again.

Envigado FC. 44 + 43 + 11 +0 +13 +3 = 114
Junior F.C. 38 + 51 +12 +3 +12 +0 = 116.

What the hell am I missing?

Maybe we haven't won the league. Maybe we have just won the 2nd phase of the league?

Junior F.C. seem to have been robbed of 3 points, but I'm not sure why.

According to the Overall League Table they won 36 games and drew 5 games which gives them a total of (36x3= 108 + 5 = 113) 113 points which fits.

808fc6552d4db4114c0b4989a1967e44.png

If we filter out all other competitions and just look at the leave then this is what we get for them.

1st Phase. 12 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses from the 1st phase = 38 points.

295059f1c53ea13696dfe867c3d00cb2.png

1st Phase Semi-Finals. 4 wins, 0 draws and 2 losses from the 1st Phase Semi-Finals = 12 points

4446aa3f16f72e3ed663eade46844b4e.png

1st Phase Finals. 1 win, 0 draws and 1 loss from the 1st Phase Finals = 3 points.

2a815c7441cba61a70f293d61f80564b.png

2nd Phase. 16 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss from the 2nd Phase = 51 points

78e58db5251bbefc94fa5bbc52817695.png

2nd Phase Semi-Finals. 4 wins, 0 draws and 2 losses in the 2nd Phase Semi-Finals = 12 points

56348d0feda6684e50480dc1d2be7a19.png

2nd Phase Finals

Nothing, because they finished 2nd in the Group.

38 + 12 +3 + 51 +12 +0 = 116 points.

Oh I give up. I've got no flippin idea what's going on!  :idiot:

[Edit]

The only thing I can think of is that..... oh hang on. I get it.

The 2 Finals are not considered 4 games with 12 points at available.

They are considered 2x 2-legged Finals with 3 points available for each Final.

We won our fixture so we get 3 points.

They lost their fixture so they get 0 points.

Does that make sense to everyone else?

I've looked up the real life table of this season and last season. Juniors are definitely missing 3 points.

Maybe they got a points deduction at one point?   Nah they got one win turned into a loss for some odd reason. Sucks for them, good for Envigado! ;D

Anyway I love reading your journey and love that the team won their first silverware!

I've tried to look at that too, but it's not easy to work out. This season is no good because the stage they are at in the season is that 19 League games have been played in the 2nd phase, (so 1 game remaining). The Finals of the 1st phase aren't good to look at because both games ended in a draw.

4329856d450bc8408b5786bf1ca70285.png

Someone won on pens, but I don't know who, and in any case I can't find an Overall Table anyway.

Let me see if I can find one somewhere else, because I think whoever won the shootout between Millonarios and Atlético Nacional will have earned 3 points, (rather than them both earning 2 points, (1 for each drawn game).

Ok, I've finally found Bet365 (of all places), who have the Overall Table, and it's called the Tabla Annual in this case, (Annual Table).

7276a3307e11f193104cc555dfd54c32.png

Millonarios are on 83 pts (22x3 = 66 + 17 = 83).
Atlético Nacional are on 82 pts (22x3 = 66 + 16 = 82).

The 1st Phase looked like this.

f6fa957841a5b1e210b039014e788b37.png

The 1st Phase Semi's looked like this.

dc746a6eb4c9086156a6839248e3020b.png

We know that the 1st Phase Final was 2 draws, but this site is showing that Millonarios won 2-1 when Soccerway shows that it was 1-1, (so I think Millonarios won on pens).

9d69036ff8e98f8785710d9551204304.png

9ce3de6848ff383ad511d474a8589f4b.png

And here we have it confirmed.

7da05880ebaa3e379349bc08bd226554.png

This is the current 2nd Phase Table.

fc86a696c64f070e01f81ded3ca7b661.png

So looking at Millonarios, we have the following points won this season.
38 points from the Apertura.
13 points from the Apertura Semi's (or Playoffs or whatever you want to call them).
30 points from the Clausura.
That brings them to 81
And the 2 points from the 2 draws in the Apertura Final would bring them correctly to 83.

Damn! I was sure that was going to back up my thinking.  :idiot:

I think that although I'm wrong, I think that's the way that the game is thinking of it. It's not separating the 2 legs of the Final and allocating points, (as happens in real life). I think it's generating points based only on who wins the tie. :(

I think we deserved to win.... "something".

Same time tomorrow and we will do some multiplication before moving onto division, but I'm afraid I will have to ask a sub teacher to come in for the algebraic equations.  :idiot:

Worthy Champions or stolen crown? Dec 2027.

In case you wonder why there have been no updates since.... since we were crowned Champions, it's because I've been trying to work out exactly what the rules are and if we've rightly been crowned Champions or not, but to be completely honest I've got absolutely nothing to tell you. I simply don't know.

Let's look at the previous season to see if that sheds any light on the subject.

Last Season (2026) Atlético Nacional were Champions by 1 point from Millonarios so let's look at how the teams involved in the Playoffs earned their points.

0a458e2bd82776f38115446a4b28ecf1.png

316b6b084237f73f1029bd3a075233e2.png

I hope the info there makes sense.

It appears that everything is working fine in the 1st phase Finals, with 3 points being awarded for each win rather than in some other way, but for the 2nd phase Final, something else is happening. The situation is further clouded by the 2nd phase Final ending in a draw and the result of the tie Final being decided on pens, (as was the 1st phase Final), and this seems pretty common. The points totals match up in the 1st Phase Final if we continue to award 2 points for winning either leg in the Final, but the same doesn't work for the 2nd phase Final where the losers (Deportiva Pereira), don';t seem to have been awarded points for their 2nd leg win, and I think this is because although they won the 2nd leg, they lost the tie on pens. Now that makes sense to me even if it's obviously wrong. I can at least understand how the game has got confused.

I need to try and find another example of that.

Liga Dimayor Points. 33+9+0+44+11+3 = 100
Overall Table points. 97.

It appears that Deportiva Pereira are short 3 points from last season, and I think it relates to them not being allocated any points for their 2nd leg win in the Liga Finalización Finals, and I think that this has been cause because although the won the game, they lost the tie, (so it's technically classed as a loss).

Junior FC Liga Dimayor results over the course of the whole season.

Liga Dimayor Points. 25+0+0+38+12+3= 78
Overall Table Points. 81.

It appears as if Junior FC have been awarded the points for the 2nd leg, (despite losing), because they won the tie.

I "think" that the game is taking the result of the overall tie in the 2nd leg of the Final, rather than the result of the game itself.

Everyone clear?

Squad Stats. Dec 2027

Squad by Appearances. We may have won our 1st league title (albeit dubiously), but in doing so some players played far too many games for my liking. If you remember I want a max. of mid 30's starts, with no more than 10-15 sub appearances on top of that. We've got 5 outfield players here who made 40+ starts, and 68(14) appearances from (22) Ramírez is FAR too many. Not only will this many games increase the chances of fatigue and injury but it also means that opportunities available to play and develop younger players have been missed.

Youth Player Poached. Jan 2028

I used to love this feature, (even though we lost players), and it was a cause of some dismay when it didn't happen even once in either my Portugese or Spanish saves in FM23 and FM22. I'm delighted to see it back again but also happy that the player we're losing isn't going to be very good. I used to have a pretty accurate way of estimating the PA of the poached player, (within 10 PA), but I can't remember how I did it now. It was something like split it into 0-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc etc etc all the way up to 191-200 and that would give you 20 levels. The 1st 10 levels were the solver stars, (each half star is a level), and the 2nd 10 levels were the gold stars, but for some reason you had to jump up a rank to be accurate. So in this case the PA is 1.5 Gold stars and 1.5 half stars = 3 ratings so that would take me to 121-130 but we have to jump up 1 level remember so it means the PA of this player will be 131-140, (or something like that). It's been so long now that I have forgotten. While 1.5 stars isn't very good, a player with 131-140 CA at this club in this league would be a very good player. The other thing to mention of course is that I worked out this system when I was playing in England, (and I think I also checked that it also worked in Wales), but I don't know that it works the same way in all Nations, (so take what I've said here will a little pinch of salt). Anyway, he's gone, but I'm glad the feature is back, (not that it has ever been completely gone).

I seem to remember that there was about a delay of 3 years before a player being poached and them eventually appearing, (depending on their age), but as most of the players I've see in the intake are 15, (and the others are 16), I'm guessing this player will come through at Millonarios next season because he will be 16 then.

I got this message on the same day as the intake.

Just for the record, as far as I'm concerned I can re-sign this player because he is still a product of our Academy.

Liga Apertura. We had 5 players, (I think), on International duty with (COL) U23's (who were playing in Olympics qualifying), so to be without them for most of the 1st month, (and for them to be fatigued upon their return), was tough to cope with, but we did admirably well. Really quite pleased with 7 points from our opening 4 games with our availability.

Season Tickets. That's quite a decent rise of approx 16%. That's really not too shabby at all. :applause:

Transfers. We're not blessed at DL/WBL, but at the same time I don't think I can turn down offers like this for players. We got £1.6M up front in cash + £100k in instalments, (In just added that in because I didn't want there to be no instalments), and then absolutely loads of add-ons as well as a 50% clause, a friendly and of course a 12 month 0% loan back. We can't be saying to to a deal like that at this stage of the save. I might have to see what other DL's are out there who are products of our Academy because I think ideally we will need to replace him.

Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing happening this month. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1", (who now has 5 INT Caps despite still being a teenager), was away on duty with (COL) U23's and hasn't featured yet this season.

Finances. Things are starting to look up financially. We have almost £5M in the bank and there is serious interest in ex Wonderkid GK (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" who has 2 years left on his contract. If we can sell him but get him back on loan then I would certainly consider doing a deal now.

Feb 2028

Liga Apertura. This is really really impressive form and I'm delighted. We're top of the table and I don't care even a little bit that we have played a game more. The reason we've played a game more by the way is because as Champions, (albeit dubiously), we've auto-qualified for the Group Stages of the Copa Libertadores and the wedge of cash that comes with it.

Súperliga Dimayor. (Colombian Super-Cup). It our 1st time participating in this trophy so it's great to win it. It should add too our rep nicely. :applause:

Transfers. I was really keen to sell (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" in this window, (so long as we loaned him back). I didn't want the pressure having to try and sell him at the end of the season with the risk of failing and losing him on a free. He's just too valuable to risk losing on a free. Selling him now and getting him back on loan for 12 months was the perfect solution for everyone.

(27b) Hoyos (Perfect) might have only just turned 16 years old, but he's already 1st choice and has already made 34(2) appearances.

Goal-scoring GK's. Just 1 pen taken this month and unfortunately it was taken before we sold (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" and then loaned him back, (so he was still really unhappy because he wanted to leave). So unhappy in fact that he had gone AWOL from training. He absolutely HAD to go during this window, but now he's gone, (and returned), he's all happy again.

Clauses. Mar 2028

The number of clauses we have now is steadily growing.

907c27c265cf362a88eaa617693c158e.png

(20) Díaz has a 25% clause that we can sell for £363k, (meaning that any sale worth more than £1,452,000 would lose money), so I think I'm going to hang on. 8284de13fc82c10e533c74d94e0f0052.png

089672bf6e6bbf51b6991cbf74843220.png

(18) Asprilla can be signed on a free at the moment, (which is a disaster), as I would love Watford to offer him a new contract and then get promoted to the Premier League with him because his 30% clause would then obviously be of significant value. 12 months ago he was valued at £20M+ and is only valued lower now because his contract expires in June. 32ae0a9cfc0bda0feabb68f3cc487e5f.png

(27b) Hoyos (Perfect) is the only one of our player to have made the list this year, but the good news is that as he is only 15 years old he will have 3 more seasons to try and move up the list. I'm a tiny bit surprised that we don't have more than 1 on the list, but I suppose it's early days and (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1"(24a) Gómez (Bal) 6'5", (24c) Suárez (F.Amb) (23) "Titch" Russell 5'4" are all 20 years old now so no longer eligible for the list.

Liga Apertura. For some reason, even when we have 5 players on INT duty, league games aren't getting postponed.

3 wins and a draw from 5 league games this month is decent, but we're going to need to be more than decent to top the league.

Goal-scoring GK's. There were 3 penalties taken this month. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" failed with a pen before he was sold and brought back in on loan, (so his miss isn't shown here), and Fontalvo 6'4" also failed from the spot. It's not all failure though, because (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" scored his 1st career goal this month.

(24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 18/22 from the spot at 82%.
Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.
(25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 1/1 from the spot at 100%.

Liga Apertura. We were well beaten by Junior, but other than that we have a pretty good month in the league. We're level on points at the top with Independiente Santa Fe, but have a game in hand.

Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. Our form imploded as we moved into the Semi-Final Group though and even if we win our remaining 2 group games I still don't think we will qualify for the Final.  We had not 1 but 2 players sent off in the 1st half against Bogota and that just about sums up how this Semi-Final campaign has gone. :(

In the grand scheme of things there is plenty to be positive about at the moment, but when you win the League Phase and then lose the 1st 3 games in the Semi's it doesn't seem so.

Finances. Our bank balance has risen slightly and this will be as a result of us playing 5 home games this month in all competitions, the £227k listed below, and of course the fees per game that we're getting from various clauses. At the moment we have 5 players, (although we have 2 of them back in on loan), who are earning us a combined £20k every time they play in a league game.

Rodríguez hasn't been playing very often for Cortiba and has been listed for sale so it makes sense to cash in on these clauses.

Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. Rubbish! :( Despite winning the 1st Phase, we've dropped 10 points  behind Millonarios, (who started 5 points behind us), because they earned themselves 12 points in the Semi Final Group, and then earned 4 more points in the Final itself.*

* -5 points (Millonarios started the Semi Final Group Stage 5 points behind us), + 12 points in the Group Stage +4 points in the FInal is +11 (-5+12+4=11) points, minus the 3 points we earned in the Semi Final Group stage is 8 but they are 10 points ahead for some reason. There is something still very wrong here. :(

7141f5074a12f45a3baa1117851b6d73.png

We've only got deals done for clauses on 1 player. Diaz's transfer valuation has a big range & he's not playing regularly, but he's contracted until 2031 so I think I'm going to stick with it.

(24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 18/22 from the spot at 82%.
Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.

Awards. Jul 2028.

Copa América 2028. Best Young Player.

I know that (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" only came 3rd in this award, but it's still a significant achievement and perhaps hints that he might just be a player fo real quality/ We've only got him on loan now after selling him, but I'm fine with that. It needed to be done at this stage of the save.

Copa América 2028. Best Goalkeeper. It seems strange to see Ederson win this award when Brazil were knocked out in the Quarter Finals, but he di have the best average rating and at 7.2 it was a very good rating for a GK who doesn't score goals. When Brazil lost 3-2 in the quarters though, he didn't save a single shot.

(25h) Pazo (F.Loyal) os a decent left back and has already made 5(2) appearances. Ideally i'd like to see him go out on loan in the 2nd half of the season.

(24h) Ladino (Bal) * has hardly be on my radar at all, (despite him being 19 years old now), and if anything I'm surprised that he's made as many as 2(3) appearances. There;s the basics of a player there, but he still looks pretty raw right now and he needs to go on loan if he can't break into 1st Team.

Liga Finalización. After losing 6 of our last 7 league games, we've finally turned the corner.

412551ca31317e81a3ac8a4cc7b79a46.png

If we win our game in hand we rise to 2nd in the 2nd Phase Table, but after taking just 3 points from a possible 21 in that run, our position in the overall league table has been absolutely hammered. We sit 4th, just 1 point ahead of Atlético Nacional, and although they have played 2 more games than us, that actually relates to the 1st Phase Finals so we don't have games in hand. (Yeah I know it's confusing). Millonarios are disappearing off into the sunset and are 11 points ahead of us, but we will do our best to at least chase down Junior FC and Independiente Santa Fe

Copa Libertadores. There's no point denying is. We're just not really competitive with Brazilian clubs yet. When we play them we lose. It's as simple as that.

6ff0afadcf19919da42831ffb531ad93.png

Job Offers.I'm thinking I will move at some point, but not sure where at this stage. (I only have South America currently loaded in the game).

Transfers. This might seem like a strange transfer deal to agree, but we're not playing well at the moment and to my mind if we're losing and not playing well then I might as well be playing the kids. This was a bit of a spur of the moment decision when I had the hump, but as well as getting about £1M for (16) JM.Zapata, we also has a 25% clause and he's immediately worth £8.4M-£12M. He's 28 years old and maybe we've sold him early enough to make use of this clause. I think time will tell if this was a good decision or not. Since the start of this save I have been expecting to make approx £7.5M-£10M when (18) Asprilla left Watford, and it's a huge blow to get nothing for him when he left on a free. As a result of that, we have to generate that sort of money ourselves. I need to really build up a sizeable bank balance to keep El Presidente away from our incoming transfer offers.

Newell's Old Boys Under 20s, (of Argentina), have won the last 3 in a row, so it was great to beat them in the Final.

Goal-scoring GK's. We were awarded 2 pens this month, but (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" was only able to convert 1 of them.

(24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 19/24 from the spot at 79%.
Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.
(25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 1/1 from the spot at 100%.

Finances. We've got £6.5M in the bank and that's great in the short term, but while we're losing approx £600k per month, (with no transfer/prize money income), it wouldn't last long if we dropped off.

Clauses. Aug 2028

We've now got 12 players for whom we have clauses outstanding.

Some of them are worth decent money and some are not worth much at all.

With Noreña. 6'0" for example all we have available is a friendly, (with a 2nd tier Colombian side), but we also have 7x 25% clauses and 2x 50% clauses which will hopefully set us up nicely at some point in the future.

9efca3d355be1eca3defb22d25467162.png

50% clauses. Both these players are currently loaned back to us after transfer. I expect both to get a significant valuation spike once they join their club full time.

25% clauses. The ages of these players, (in the order of their valuations), is 32, (we might miss out on a very lucrative clause), 28, (he's gone to the Middle East and unlikely to move again because his wages are too high), 26, (also in the Middle East but wages not as much of an issue so still a chance), 24, (is just starting to break into the team in Argentina and could come good), 20, (probably won't generate much), 27, (he's available for transfer for a nominal fee and I'm surprised because he's scoring goals in the top flight in Brazil) and 24, (playing in 3rd tier in Brazil).

We also have a 40% profit & 30% profit clause in play, but I don't expect these to generate anything significant.

(27b) Hoyos (Perfect) * personality. Aug 2028

Now that I have sold (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1", (even though he is still here on loan), (27b) Hoyos (Perfect) * is my new favourite.

This is concerning though.

543e89ac1c668ce92e51bdc39e0b48a6.png

  • The squad's general character has had a positive effect lately.
  • the squad's less desirable characteristics have had an effect lately. :thdn:

I'm really trying to hold him back and not play him too much, but 20(2) appearances in his 1st season is way too much and he's already made 22(1) appearances this season. I really like the look of him, (despite his physicals), and he's our best centre-mid now that (16) JM.Zapata has gone.

9af8007c9e781d2ad9e51192b659c9db.png

59ba3953486a0bde2afeb91cc57ebc01.png

The positive effect was that his Det popped from 14 to 15.

The negative was that his personality changed from (Perfect), which I loved, to (Merc), which I'm obviously not so keen on.

3ac3610fb1d6d665d392a2c3d0b575e8.png

I guess that means that his (Pro) was 14-20 and now isn't, because we know his (Det) is 15 and his (Amb) must be at least 16 in order for him to be a (Merc).

The Loyalty might also be an issue going forward, but although he's still on a Youth contract, he's signed a pre-contract that I expect to me on a 3+3 deal which will take him from 17 through to 23, (or 22 with 12 months left on his contract), and I would expect that we have absolutely no chance of ever extending this deal. He should be decent by then though assuming that his PA is high enough to continue his development.

Hoyos loyalty has probably dropped, look at media handling which might give a clue about his professionalism. Could you resign Asprilla?

Also the gap in points not adding up after the 1st stage was due to the fact that the gap in the semi finals was 12 points (they had 15 points) which you then took 3 points off which wasn't required.

No no no no no. That would mean that the squad as a whole has poor loyalty. :stop: No no no no no. I refuse to accept that. :herman: There must be another explanation!  :idiot: (I'm not in denial I tell you!)

(Media Handling is Media-Friendly which doesn't really tell us anything).

I think that's highly unlikely.

He's just moved from Watford in the Championship to Southampton in the Premier League and is getting paid £53k per week.

Our whole wage spend is currently £76k per week.

Never say never, but he's 24 now and I don't think he will be willing to accept the pittance of a wage that we offer, even at the end of his contract.

OK, that nickname thing is extremely odd because it's there in your second post on page 1 of this thread...

Oh so it is.  Maybe it was the update to full game that did it, or the other little update we had.

Either way, it's not there now. :(

I'm looking for other things that have changed from that post on Page 1.

Original. (2022). Yes, we actually did start in Dec 2022 despite this being FM24. I didn't do it on purpose. I just picked the top, (earliest), start date.

  • Season Tickets have risen from 2,452 to 2,841. (+389).
  • The average price of Season Tickets has risen from £51 to £76. (+25).
  • The average Ticket price has only risen from £10 to £11 though. (+£1)
  • The Legends and ICONs have remained the same, but there have been huge changes in the Favoured Personnel.

no wonder you are confused, what happened to the 1st phase semi final in jul2028 were you only got 3 points

We had 2 players sent off in the 1st half in 1 game and they were obviously suspended for games after that and we were just in a really poor run of form despite finishing the league campaign strongly. It was just one of those things. I saved at the end of the Semi Final League, and when I loaded up again the next time we were in good form again.

When I lose 2 in a row I should just automatically save and log off.

Aug 2028.

Liga Finalización. We're not in good form. We're scoring goals, but we're conceding far too many. Maybe I shouldn't have sold one of our best centre-backs and central midfielder then!

We've got some work to do though. Not because we're 6th in the 2nd Stage of the League, but because we're 5th in the overall league table. Missing out on the Copa Libertadores for 1 season wouldn't be a disaster, (just so long as we qualified for the Copa Sudamericana, but it would put an unnecessary dent in our finances and our goal must really be to finish in the top 4 in the Overall League table, (which means catching Independiente Santa Fe who are 6 points ahead of us with 9 games of this 2nd Phase to play.

Transfers. There's no point about being sad for losing a player like (19) Ordóñez 6'1". He had 16 months left on his contract and there is no way I'm letting him leave on a free. It just can't be allowed to happen. The cash we get for him up front is good and the add-ons are nice too and the 25% clause still has time to be a winning lottery ticket for us because he's only 26 years old and well capable of earning another move. For years I have been really keen on the 25% and friendly clauses, (and their use is quite common now), but my new favourite one for slipping it in under the radar is the per league appearance clause. I know he has to play for us to trigger that, and it only arrives in dribs and drabs, but I don't think it's properly factored into the AI thinking when they are negotiating because I don't know what part of the budget it comes from. It's the same as the International appearances. You don't know when/if these clauses are going to be triggered, so how can you work out which season's budget they need to be allocated from when you are negotiating? You can't. I've already started playing around with the per league appearances clause and I'm going to see how far I can abuse it!

ps. Of course it's a blow to lose him, (I'm not silly), but at this stage of the save it's about making us financially stable and selling him is another step towards that. Will it likely impact our performances negatively? Absolutely. Is that a price I'm willing to pay in the short term? Damn right.

Liga Finalización. We're really struggling in the league, and the only thing that can save our season is winning the Cup Final, (which doesn't seem likely at this point). We've had 3 players unavailable for most of this month because they were on International duty and obviously they are our best players. I don't know if we need more players away on International duty so we get games suspended or if South American clubs just play through International  periods anyway/

(24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 19/25 from the spot at 76%.

Oct 2028.

Double. It might be a double, but it's a rubbish Double. I'm not complaining though. The Súperliga Dimayor might not be a big deal, (it's the Charity Shield basically), but the Copa Dimayor, (FA Cup), is a big deal and us winning it should boost our rep.

Liga Finalización. We've scored 7 goals (x2), 5 goals (x4) an 4 goals (x10 at least) this season, so going forward isn't a problem. Stopping them at the other end definitely is a problem though and it's been a huge area of concern.

We actually finished the season in reasonable form, (with just 1 loss this month), considering that we also had a 2-legged Cup FInal to play too.

I thought we had done enough to at least qualify for the 2nd Phase Semi's, but Deportes Quindío went and won all 5 games this month and we ended up missing out by 1 single goal on goal difference.

We have at least finished 5th in the Overall Table, (before the Semi-Final games are played), so we would have qualified for South American competition anyway, even had we not won the Cup FInal.

Copa Dimayor. The Cup will always play 2nd fiddle to the league, but it was actually really good to win and break the dominance that Millonarios have had over the competition during this save.

Goal-scoring GK's. Another mixed month as (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * both scored and failed, (hit the bar) from the spot against Águilas Doradas, and then went and scored again against Atlético Nacional.

(24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 19/25 from the spot at 76%.
Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.
(25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 4/5 from the spot at 80%.
