Amazing work thus far. Maidenhead are my hometown, so was good to see Slough stinking up the league in your first season  not surprised Maidenhead done it in the second season either

Thanks mate! Great to see your hometown club doing well on my save too! Hopefully we can both progress up the leagues together! :D

Season Review 2025/2026

551ef7c54a7d2051d3716f91e50b558c.png

We are going up say we are going up!

Sky Bet League Two

034fed94df1e327ac27900fa8c10c111.png

League Two is so tough! The higher we rise the tougher it gets but thankfully, we managed to go up again by finishing among the automatic promotion places! The standards of the teams are so close and we only managed to win less than half of our games (and drew a grand total of 16!). Thankfully, we got over the line and it's going to be a big ask next year as I feel we are meeting our threshold as we progress up the ladder!

FA Cup

4a15f8bd2ce5a4e02025e42cec4b3240.png

We weren't too successful in the cup competitions as the boys were knocked out early in the second round of the FA Cup by League One outfit Bolton after two closely fought ties. We managed to get a windfall though! ;)

Carabao Cup

c02a94b38e3b7b7ffee9d2954a4df18d.png

It was the same story in the Carabao Cup as we went down to another League One outfit in a 1-2 away defeat :(

Bristol Street Motors Trophy

75805efefe566a668976bce4834fa692.png

We completed the clean sweep of early cup exits as we were knocked out in the group stages of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy as we focused our efforts fully on league football. We go again next year!

The Finances

9d062f0610ba9be4da188ffe46f9e774.png

Our underperformance in the cup competitions meant our competition prize money dropped by a fair amount. However, I do not understand why our match day commercial and retail fell despite us turning professional and playing in the tier above. Anyone experienced something similar?

How You Lined Up

Our third consecutive promotion-winning eleven \o/

Player of the Season

df833d8a883077b3f9412df423244d61.jpg

Our player of the season by a distance is our first choice pressing forward who came in on loan from Yeovil. Kenny Coker managed 26 goals and 2 assists in just 33 starts in a very productive campaign, and we will be no where near the promotion places without his goal contributions. Jansen will take his time to ponder if we should bring him back for League One \o/

League One here we come! It's not going to be easy but it definitely will be a fun ride..

New Spine

fe4702a2fbb18525594efd1e4865fe3c.jpg

Uriah Djedje came in on a free from Norwich to form the top of our spine. The Ivorian has no real weaknesses in his game and he will go straight into our starting 11 as our first-choice ball-playing center back behind..

9c4b594459e7faac23d4d2b96e153ee2.jpg

..Isaac Mabaya, who will hold our midfield together in the Regista role. Liverpool chose not to renew the Zimbabwean's contract and their loss is certainly our gain as we picked up a highly versatile midfield player with decent quality. He will attempt to supply bullets to..

5a49c8b3520ee996fb41536ae2f324e0.jpg

..Freddie Draper, who will lead the line after coming in on a free from Lincoln. Freddie is one of the strongest players in the league and is aggressive, brave and hardworking off the ball. With no better strikers available on the free and loan markets, we are hoping that he can score enough goals to help us finish as high up the League One Table as possible :brock:

Season Review 2026/2027

8c6aa72f6b5a3bd19c4949751bc8234f.gif

Not sure if this is a new thing on this version of the game but I absolutely love it \o/

Sky Bet League One

cfb626f5e6bc4e14c33d2d3fd6842eb6.png

The boys have done it again! We have strengthened better than last summer with a bigger budget and better reputation which helped us lure better quality players who were released by the Prem clubs. Jansen will definitely need to go a step further if we want to compete again in a very competitive Championship next campaign!

FA Cup

99e8af6130472e40d155d1062533a987.png

Our second string managed to progress to the Third Round of the FA Cup but the run came to a disappointing end against Southend United in an eventful 2-4 away defeat.

Carabao Cup

1d095fd15b75831d7050447c3d7b7720.png

Our Carabao Cup campaign was short-lived after a penalty shootout defeat against fellow League One side Fleetwood Town. To be very honest, we weren't too bothered as we had to cope with three domestic cup competitions in addition to a very busy League One campaign.

Bristol Street Motors Trophy

a93a42bba3696469b21c2a59cdd53e24.png

We completed the trio of cup exits after a brutal group stage exit where our second and third-choice players failed to compete at a high enough level against our group rivals. This was perhaps the most disappointing cup exit as this is the last time we will be in this (provided we don't get relegated next year *touchwood*), and there are also no Championship teams in this. Notwithstanding, we are glad to move further up the football ladder and hopefully, we are on to bigger and better things!

The Finances

7c62d73de5fb29ef0557e39e880a36ab.png

While there have been rumours of a takeover in the last two years, Jansen is focused on progressing the club financially as we continue to climb as high up as we can \o/

The League One Champions!

Player of the Season

32f31af4b2c077985ca953d31bc099c3.jpg

The boss and fans are aligned this time round as Damon Park bagged our Player of the Season award! If you remember, the Englishman joined us on a free while we started in the Vanarama National League and he has been in the 1st eleven since in our journey all the way to League One. While being our defensive anchor on the left of our central defence, he managed 5 goals at the other end in a very productive campaign. Unfortunately, his contract is up this summer and he is asking for way too much money to stay with us in the upcoming Championship campaign. Barring a miracle, we may have very well seen his last appearance in an Angels shirt :(

Key Signings for Sky Bet Championship

5415317b9b71b8a7dceb4807027141ed.jpg

We needed upgrades in the full-back positions to cope with the higher quality wide players and Kallum Cesay offers exactly that. The Sierra Leonean has great recovery pace and will be crucial in our defensive transitions as we seek to adapt to the higher level of football.

63e58731aa596246098a3b604a9b3d8e.jpg

There is also an urgent need to strengthen our central defence and we brought in TJ Eyoma on a free from Lincoln to hopefully instil some much needed solidity against the stronger and quicker center forwards in the Championship.

3cfb18b6397e2f1b186eaf483442bfcc.jpg

Jansen always prioritises strengthening the central defence and striking positions during the transfer windows and we were so thankful that Everton allowed us to have a player of George Morgan's quality for a season. The Englishman is one of the better finishers in this league and coupled with his unbelievable determination to succeed in football, we are hopeful that he can bag us the goals to push us up the league \o/

Season Review 2027/28

6408d070219017a43069919167799d6d.png

I think we may have reached the peak of our progression considering our budget and club reputation..

Sky Bet Championship

c3d8b52663d4a7b092850765c848e3aa.png

With a weekly wage budget of just 60 thousand pounds and our inability to attract higher quality players on loan, we only managed a 9th place finish in our first season in the Championship. Looking at the brighter side, we felt we have achieved the maximum of our potential and Jansen will need to work his magic in the transfer market to push us further up the table at the second time of asking.

FA Cup

1c63480cd5d02652412187595c8e66aa.png

We progressed to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup after beating fellow Championship outfit Watford in the Third Round, but eventually fell to a strong Boro side in the Cup Replay in the subsequent round.

Carabao Cup

f156925be612925d0b4ba7aac75b4643.png

Our second stringers fell at the third hurdle of the Carabao Cup, losing narrowly to League One side Oxford United after we chose to rest the first-teamers for league football.

The Finances

efcd0a8728fddeecb3a030057ff29273.png

It's interesting to know that sponsors favour the stronger teams in League One than mid-table ones in the Championship, and the competition prize money are lower here :(

How You Lined Up

a22338acee9f6624df5c4a49e4dc4e50.png

They are not quite good enough to compete at the higher end of the table, but the boys are still heroes in my eyes :**)

Player of the Season

91080fbb7b30ae679c7f99a84b8d65e3.jpg

When a midfielder playing in the no. 8 position manages 12 goal contributions in 32 starts, he will be in a strong position to bag our Player of the Season award and that was exactly what Regan Booty did. Regan is a typical left-footed midfielder who is creative and hits the ball sweetly but we were so disappointed to find out that he wants to leave for a bigger club in the summer

Key Signings for our second go at Sky Bet Championship

7987630adb6d96f4c7810a515d146c86.jpg

Jansen always prefers to play with a left-footed midfielder in the left-sided no. 8 position and quality ones are hard to come by. Thankfully, Harvey White was available on a free and we jumped at the chance to bring him in. The Englishman is so all-rounded with a sweet left foot and set-piece delivery, and he will be crucial in our attempt to climb the Sky Bet Championship table.

9d6fbb89729fec40ba09f9b1322f7e44.jpg

Kallum Cesay requested for wages which were five times our average wages for a player and we had no choice but to move him on. Our scouting team managed to find a capable replacement in Joshua Williams, who is another all-rounded player with attributes well-suited for the right-back role. He has bagged our no. 2 jersey and will go straight into our starting 11!

a1420fb4fbc3a1e7a2ba07eb47bb3dc7.jpg

We have a new number 9! Everton refused to let us have George Morgan on loan for a second campaign and we had to dig deep in the market to bring in his replacement. William Osula is tailor-made for our pressing forward role and we have high hopes that he can replace his predecessor's goals in our second ever Championship campaign \o/

End of 2028 Update

Sky Bet Championship

1c0df844651eec59f71dd93d74b091c5.jpg

We couldn't quite believe how well things went in 2028 and the boys did brilliantly to reach the peak and stay there at the end of the year. However, we are not getting complacent as we all know there will be a dip in form every season and we haven't had that yet. Hopefully we can at least stay in the top two positions come the end of the year :D

Carabao Cup

0ec92d838ddb7b37b02d7b0776e2faa8.png

We were however knocked out at the first hurdle in the Carabao Cup after an away 0-1 defeat against fellow Championship outfit Leeds United. Jansen wasn't too bothered though as we were able to focus our resources fully on the league games and we haven't done too bad thus far ;)

Player of the Update

ccc5dc5a63164b6cdde58d8f9d8a8a87.jpg

Our new Box To Box Midfielder has maintained such a high level of performances since joining us in the summer. Playing in the number 8 position, Harvey White managed an impressive 9 goal contributions in just 16 starts on top of covering lots of ground in our pressing game. Long may it continue!

What a rise this has been! Great job! Just had a binge read now. Honestly don’t know how you get Vertical Tiki-Taka to work so well. Whenever I try I do ok for a couple of games but then start getting pumped and can’t find the back of the net.

Cheers mate! That’s surprising to me as Vertical Tiki-Taka has been the most consistent tactic for me in the last couple of years! Maybe you need to give the tactic some time to cook! I always use attacking mentality at home and balanced away! I will also go attacking in the last ten minutes if I’m down and park the bus in the last ten if I’m up by a single goal away from home! This approach should yield you solid results!

So near yet so far..

Sky Bet Championship

653e47c0b55bb4da1e6ad701f9923fbd.png

We started hot and ended the season cold as we fell out of the automatic promotion places by goal difference. Jansen simply couldn't keep up with the relegated Premier League sides with the lowest budgets by a distance in the league, and Leeds basically sealed the title when they splashed 33.5 million pounds to add Adam Idah in January. Incredible timely injuries to our entire left flank right before the play-off semis didn't help things as we failed to reach the promised land. Notwithstanding, it has been a season of considerable progress and we go again next year!

FA Cup

569655048221bd9eda1a754e2c8aa02b.png

We were so unlucky with the FA Cup draws and faced two Prem clubs at the first two hurdles. Our second string managed once-in-a-lifetime performances as we caused a big upset in the Third Round against Brighton. It was business as usual as we fell to a 1-2 home defeat against a decent Bournemouth outfit.

Carabao Cup

8c1c14d4079de8890220161d0eb0eeff.png

It's bloody Leeds again as they knocked us out right away as we entered the competition in the first round

3 Key Signings for our 3rd Try

0a0242b043141e05dd3b02800a5b340b.jpg

Mikael Bongili Cleevely (MBC) is an incredible find by our scouting team and it was a pleasant surprise that we were able to work out a loan deal with Southampton for the speedy winger. Jansen brought him in to provide more thrust and quality down our right flank. Will MBC turn out to be our Salah or Anthony? We shall see ;)

b732360cee51d4e8be33086ecb3de546.jpg

We focused our efforts on raising the quality of our wide players and Alan Virginius is a definite upgrade on our options down the left wing. The Frenchman has decent technique and pace, and fits our inverted winger position to a tee. However, he will need to get the better of..

4bff09991ffaa1fbe762e3b6adb0f4f9.jpg

..Shola Shoretire, whose career hasn't quite turned out many has expected it to be. The Man United academy graduate has had opportunities at Wrexham, Fulham, Barnsley and Blackpool but didn't quite find a home to show his qualities. Everyone at the club has high hopes that this can be the move that finally propels his career into the limelight :D

Sky Bet Championship

We finished 2nd in our promotion-winning season behind Norwich who was relegated from the Prem last campaign, but is still far too good for this league. It is an amazing feat by the players as Norwich's wage budget is 13 times ours and we sit rock bottom in the league in terms of wage budget. We are going up say we are going up!

FA Cup

6391a3ae7cf2fc9c76823c4b17b20d8e.png

We played our third string in the FA Cup as the tie was right after the busiest period of our season. To no one's surprise, we were knocked out convincingly at the first hurdle. Not that we care though! ;)

Carabao Cup

Signings for Survival

bb5bf1e001223e86e4a698c4f0e3b55f.jpg

We did not have a keeper who is good enough for the Prem and thankfully, a player of Coniah Boyce-Clarke's quality was available on a free. The Englishman is competent aerially in the box and has decent shot-stopping ability. In our maiden campaign in English's top flight, we will definitely need a big season from the big goalie if we want to maintain our Premier League status.

cff7b079a369742edfe34b37639a4b3c.jpg

Unfortunately, the center-backs who helped us to promotion last campaign lacked Premier League quality. We had to splash the cash on Jarell Quansah, who was the best right-sided central defender who was willing to join us in our desperate attempt for Prem survival. The Liverpool academy graduate is fantastic in the air and he will be vital in both boxes at set-pieces for us. He will be partnered by..

68e428426c68db11e9208751d74c88e5.jpg

..Luizão, who doesn't look impressive in any area of his game but our scouts strongly recommended him for his consistency and knack for shining in big games.

d528cdbd21283066b68a43b306f00b64.jpg

Like Luizao, Billal Brahimi has no game-changing attribute but Jansen signed him based on our scout's assessment that he can put in 6-7s in most games. The Algerian will go straight into our staring 11 as our budget Salah/Saka. Last but not certainly least..

043db34c5c5234e2e91684f6bece7679.jpg

We have signed Bellingham! It's Jobe Bellingham though as there is absolutely no way his brother will be willing to trade Santiago Bernabéu for the Tonbridge Stadium. The younger brother is too good for the Championship and we are hoping that he can make the step up to do a job for us in the Premier League :brock:

Where we belong?

The lads have been absolutely brilliant in their maiden season in Europe's richest league \o/

ffe6a281aca4074843312a5cf876fd61.png

Despite having to deal with the lowest wage budget by a mile, Jansen managed to assemble a squad with 30 million pounds and loads of loan signings to compete competently at the highest level. The Angels are flying in 7th and we are loving life in the limelight!

Player of Mid-Season

25fd5c26030816713d155c2e76cda813.jpg

Our best performer by a distance is Lukáš Ambros, who cost us just 56k pounds from Czech First Division's Bohemians 1905. Despite having no world-beating skill, his all-rounded game and consistency has yielded us 7 goals and 5 assists from midfield, and we would be nowhere near where we are without the Czech magician. Long may it continue!

Premier League

03d6add9dfa7fcfb6a0ce5be3ce7c2e3.png

The squad put together by Jansen competed so well in the number one league in the world, and the lads showed that they belong at this level by grabbing 7th place in our maiden campaign ahead of the blue billion pound bottlejobs ;)

FA Cup

961e35ecbe665ff987f854241319868d.png

The boys also managed to reach the fifth round of the world's oldest cup competition, where we were knocked out by Champions League outfit Newcastle on penalties after a goal-less draw. There's nothing shameful about that, especially when we played our second string throughout the competition. We go again.. with our second string :D

Carabao Cup

Summer 2031

d0ac2801945583e1662e413cfb898974.jpg

This summer was definitely more fun than the last, as we realised young prospects were willing to consider us as an option, notwithstanding the fact that they were only treating us as a stepping stone. Fares Blaise was with us on loan last campaign and managed to impress the backroom staff so much that we spent 6.25 million pounds to make the deal permanent. His knack to run at the defence and decent ability to put the ball in the back of the net will go a long way to help us navigate a very busy season with Europa League football. The Frenchman with the best hair will compete with..

c4144af150c50d3b7b211e81eec74ab4.jpg

..Waynedel Frank for game time upfront, whom we still can't believe Everton was willing to let him go on a free. The Englishman has a very similar profile to Fares and it was a no brainer to snap him up on a free. The media even dubbed him the new Michael Owen and Jansen will be doing everything to convince him against pursuing a career in media afte this retirement ;)

8c3c96ba9638f75e11282eea016987cf.jpg

The best prospect we managed to bring in this summer is a 18-year-old from Championship outfit Blackburn, and Kean Irving could be an absolutely bargain at just 12.5 million pounds. The left winger is arguably one of the best on ball and off ball 18-year-old in world football and if he can steer clear of injuries, we could have a real gem on our hands :D

5583e5433c20390be5f604c666e96fc2.jpg

Arguably our biggest signing this summer is an all-rounded left-footed attacker who can play at a high level both down the right and upfront. Omari Kellyman has great pace, strikes the ball so cleanly and is very composed in front of goal. We have high hopes he can score the goals to propel us up the table this campaign \o/

Season Review 2031/2032

Campione, campione olé olé ole.. campione, campione olé olé ole!

English Premier League

264ccf12b27e8e7ba9d90fafbee25d05.png

Progress is key and we managed exactly that, finishing 2 places higher than our last year's position among the European places. It was a challenge navigating both the Premier and Europa Leagues with a squad who is only playing at the top tier for the 2nd time, especially during the business end, but it was well worth it as we secured Champions League football for the 1st time \o/ Les grandes équipes.. the championsssss!

FA Cup

b3587a5464abac4f343661ae445f6124.png

We were knocked out at the first time of asking but it was no surprise as Jansen chose to play with his third-choice eleven in the return leg against Premier League Champions Man United. We chose to rest our 1st and 2nd choice players for the Prem and Europe, and it was a decision which paid off eventually ;)

Carabao Cup

255982443645b9dd29bd60a2554baf3a.png

It was always going to be a tall task facing the cash rich blue boys from London without our first eleven as we fell to a Fourth Round 0-2 defeat.

Europa League

3982596c9802aa3aad275a5ed64627f8.png

The boys have done it!! We bagged the Europa League during the club's 1st foray into Europe, and it was such a satisfying run. We also won it the best way possible, scoring right at the end of extra-time to beat RB Leipzig to the trophy. It's by far Jansen biggest achievement of his tenure but I heard that he's not satisfied and can't wait to go on to bigger and better things :D

Player of the Year

Omari Kellyman started with sporadic game time down our right but ended the campaign as our 1st-choice number 9 as he led the line so well for us. He's not your regular goal scorer but presses so well upfront and sets the tempo for the team. He also brings his team-mates into play very capably and managed to bag 10 assists in addition to his solid 14 goals. The all-rounded frontman is Jansen's Player of the Year! \o/

Key Signings for Champions League

Our scouting team is getting a pay raise for spotting a player of Hugo Arce's quality during the second half of last season, and Jansen snapped him up after the January transfer window ended with little competition. The Argentinian is one of the best right-back of his generation and we are keeping our fingers-crossed that we can have his services for the rest of his career. All of that for just 7 million pounds!

Two is better than one as our scouting team found another gem who was available on a loan deal during the summer. Johnny Bedini is an Englishman who graduated from Juventus' academy and found himself plying his trade in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig. He got home-sick and we swooped him in a loan deal with little hesitation. He bags the number 8 shirt immediately and will play on the right side of our midfield 3 in the Box To Box Midfielder role \o/

Playing on the opposite side of the field is another Argentinian who was brought in from Man City this summer. Federico Corbisiero is a versatile left-footed player who has the potential to bring fans into the stadium with his flair, agility and balance on the ball. He will play in the left-sided no. 8 position in the Mezzala role!

Season Review 2032/2033

697e370b95a8b2615cfecc3ea193f17d.png

It has been another campaign of ups and downs but we keep progressing!

Premier League

e7409cf8ef9b580a2521b3da5c1c4c1e.png

While we finished one position lower than last season's 5th place finish,  we have 4 more points and there is a sign of progress. Notwithstanding, the quality of our squad is still a level below the Champions League-quality teams and the recruitment team will strive to strengthen the playing staff further in the upcoming summer.

Champions League

e368bed9d557c1d0644e9af9f427fc4d.png

The boys did well to progress to the Play Off Round, where we were knocked out by a solitary goal against a stronger and richer Chelsea outfit. While we did not manage to secure Champions League football next year, we have gained valuable experience in our maiden campaign which will do us well when we play at Europe's elite level again \o/

FA Cup

73fa0b32ac480ed5bedbbe5e359089e1.png

Jansen was so close to lifting his first ever FA Cup but the lads fell short in the final, losing to Premier League winners Man United after a 119th-minute own goal. That was really painful :(

Carabao Cup

c8deccaa54a020cb84b7e66ae8792291.png

We couldn't be any unluckier with the Carabao Cup draw as we fell to an inevitable 1-2 defeat against the unnecessarily rich Man City.

The Finances

We keep growing! But why did our broadcast revenue and match day commercial and retail drop despite us playing in the Champions League for the first time ever?

Summer 2033

cdc5261dbe96de41ed1fac970157b38d.jpg

Having monitored John Proud's work ethic and level of performances on loan last campaign, Jansen decided to splash 16.75 million pounds to make the deal permanent this summer. The Scottish has fantastic quality on the ball and knows exactly when to move the ball or when to take a shot during attacking transitions. He will compete with Johnny Bedini for the right-sided no. 8 position, who was also brought in on a permanent deal after last season's successful loan spell.

Having spent a total of 38.75 million pounds on two Box To Box midfielders, we have little left in the bank and the recruitment team had to be flexible in the market. Our most obvious shortcoming last campaign was putting the ball in the back of the net and we had to find some way to add goals to the squad. Inter was willing to allow a player of Christian Abanda's quality to get valuable Premier League game time on a loan deal and we took a total of 0.00000281231 seconds to finalise the deal. The Cameroonian's finishing, speed and movement up top will hopefully solve some of our goal-scoring problems this campaign \o/
