Transfer Summer 2025

OUT

image.png.6eb3791eb5b211565a609fceb41ecbbd.png

I decided to let Lukuta go. He served us well and deserves to play.

Karakus we sold to Ajax and got loaned back to us.

We maybe could get more for him, but he attitude is pretty bad.

I didnt improve the coaching team, he looked that promises.

So he decided to miss training every 2-3 weeks. Even now he does that.

IN

image.png.a25e82a758d22b8837e8f78c4bb0a89c.png

We raided the ASEC academy again. Ouattara looks like a pretty good CB.

Balagizi comes on a free from Liverpool. He is good for our league.

Ogwuche is the Karakus replacement. He got loaned back to Enugu for this season.

Well...I think this save is over.

I tested something on a test save and changed some things with the help of the editors. (pre and ingame)

-> Switching Nationalities for e.g. Wan-Bissaka is completly random.

We are currently in 2024 and we climbed all the way up to rank 16 in the World Rankings.

One AFCON title and one 3rd place in that time. And we are already qualified for the World Cup 2026.

Spoiler

image.thumb.png.65679ca12763e47ad621882da97dbfed.png

None of the good players like AWB, Mavididi, Mateta, Kalulu, Teze (Nkunku got finally his first cap with 27y) are willing to switch.

All players are in the mid to last 20s.

Its now January 2026 and the World Cup is under 6 months.

So I went to a new save, qualified for the WC 2022 and changed some things.

At the start I changed the points in the World Rankings.

I switch the points of DRC and England and I reduced France to slightly under DRC.

In 2021 AWB and Nkunku are 23. OK, thats a lot of time for them the get a call up.

Lets make AWB a little bit older.

image.png.013cb5ffb425935be468e43dce12d4b0.png

He doesnt care.

He still wants to wait, but he is impressed and decided to stay commited.

Lets add 4 years to Nkunku.

image.png.afeb98782f6814e81cb28f690ce5f271.png

He doesnt also care.

He also wants to wait, but he only is impressed.

-----------------------------------------------------------

OK, lets add 4 more years to them.

image.png.dad71d3dc4cd40cf11ef8733e1f212ae.png

He still doesnt care. Same text.

image.png.ff34b463c9fb19deac39f0db034f9105.png

He still doesnt care, but he will think about it.

Now suddently we got a low standing in international football.

I just reloaded the save and made him 31y.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Now add another 4 years -> 35 years

image.png.63b975d9734f863aca0933a2b24f2c0e.png

AWB still says the same.

image.png.3f8d47e07f653c5e26809c51757fb05a.png

Nkunku doenst even wants to consider it.

So how can I make them switch?

World Rankings doenst matter.

Success in Africa doesnt matter.

And I cant bring them into the country, like I did with KSA and China.

-> So I need to roll the dice and hope?

I will almost never produce players in DR Congo, which will be top international players.

Maybe I can produce the odd one or atleast rotation player.

But the hardcoded things will prevent more. FA FP/Eco Factor/State of development etc

image.png.bbc05d1d9c37e737d2f22ee43484c4aa.png

To compare -> China

image.png.9146f18f5624d810236eadd539935a98.png

The reason to play also in DR Congo is, because you need to do well in the country and the national team.

And with this success to slowly increase the youth rating.

In China this worked, we got better players each year from the intakes.

Ofcause I can go to a European club and just do whatever, because I cant really produce players in DR Congo.

But if I cant convince players with dual nationalities from e.g. England, France, Belgium etc. to consistently switch based on success in Africa and World Rankings....

This will be a grind fest, which means...Im out.

Really interesting conclusion. In FM20 I had the same problems as national team manager of Switzerland. I even won the Euros and some of the Italian/Swiss players didn't want to switch even though they didn't qualify for the WC. Must be a problem of SI.

  • 2 weeks later...

If you do well in the WC the players might change after.

Maybe you should try Nigeria? Managed to get players to change nationality (but only after reaching the semis in 26) and got several potential world beaters from my Enyimba youth academy. FC Midtjylland had a few through the Ebedei relationship, and Kano Pillars produced a few. I decided to leave the game when I'd won the 2034 and 2038 WCs.
