Youth Intake 2024

I dont really see a GG, but we got 2 decent players.

I offered only the top 4 players a contract. I decided against signing everybody now, since tbh they just burning our money.

And yes, thats a Cambodian!

TJ is definetly not a CB! With those workrate and teamwork, I see here a B2B mid!

Uzo looks ok.

Also Osawe look ok as backup backup keeper.

And here Im honest, he get a contract, because he is partially Cambodian.

We got a bunch of new nations in the intake. Still cant believe we got a Cambodian.

We also got our 5th continent finished, only South America is missin now.

One of my personal heroes comes to us in the 4th tier.

Its 50k in the summer, 100k over two years and 50k after 50 league games.

I mean he looks really good for 17 years.

This means I could sell Oteh or Torraj in the summer.

I delayed it for a week, but I think I do this.

Its 50k in the summer, 150k over 3 years and 45k after 50 league games.

First Barnet wanted 500k and they rejected, then Binns gone public and asked for a transfer.

After 10 times they accepted this same bid.

End Of Season Review 2023/24

With 19 pts ahead of 2nd placed Salford with finish this incredible campaign.

We got in the 3rd round of the FA Cup again! We drew the Championship side and fellow London team Crystal Palace.

We managed to draw them in our stadium and forced a replay. Awesome stuff.

In both League Cup we "only" got into the 2nd round. Hopefully we can do better next year, money is always nice.

Nice TV money!

We got a really nice squad already.

I think we dont need massive upgrades, but some positions we need to do better.

GK, DLP and 2x ST.

Time for an update of last season.

 

Vanarama Nation League - South

Pretty bad season for the teams in London.

Wealdstone failed in the playoffs. Enfield with an mediocre finish.

Welling and Hendon both got relegated....

But Ham & Rich are back.

We done back2back2back promotion and are now in League One.

Leyton had a small playoff push.

But Sutton almost got back2back relegated, they survived this season

Personally in my experience there are 2 bottlenecks in the English pyramid. One in the Vanarama national and then in the championship. In VNL, especially coming up from VNS(N), you face a lot of full time teams which make a lot of issues. And then championships is obvious due to prem money effect, from VNL to L1 it is very easy to have back to back to back promotions once you figure VNN out

This is my experience from FM19 also, National and then then Championship.

So i wouldnt be surprised if we can atleast get a playoff push this season too.

We lost the league game, but we got one back in the Carabao cup.

Really good game.

Also we got our first academy graduate playing a key role this season.

Sean came as a striker with no finishing in our first intake.

I started to retrain him as B2B, since he is Pressing Forward and got good physicals and mentals.

He was out on loan for two season, first Chelmsford (VNL-S) and then Bromley (VN).

Absolutely delighted that we got already a decent academy player.

Summer 2024 - Transfers

OUT

Taylor-Crossdale got released on a free, he is not really good.

Sold Oteh for a nice 100k to Derby. 3 weeks later he got sold to Preston.

Many players out on loan.

Also we sold our backup ST, backup GK, backup DLP and backup RB for some nice money.

 

IN

Tarima and Gorrie are just punts, they out on loan.

We got 2 players from Barnet, which got founded by all the sells.

Hackett will the competition for Lopez at LB.

Then we brought in some experience, Arter will be our DLP and Etheridge our 3rd choice keeper.

Both will also be on mentoring duties.

We extended the loans of Hutchinson and Hayman already in April.

In Davies-Hughes and Wildbore we loaned two striker, which are challenging our own two striker.

On deadline day we got two more loanies, another DLP option in Silva and our new main GK Barden.
