phlapster
With the first half of the season over The Sants still find themselves just above the relegation battle. The good news though is that several players are back from injury and the squad has been strengthened in the January transfer window. Carlos Eduardo a young brazillian central midfielder signed from Internacional for a fee that will rise to 50K with monthly installments over the next two seasons. Lima the second of the brazillians to arrive will bolster the Sants attacking options as he can play as an attacking midfielder or forward. Time will tell whether the 40k spent to pry him away from Gimnastica wll be money well spent. Giacomo Montagna is a young striker with alot of potential purchased for 10k spread over the next 2 seasons. Giacomo will add a bit more depth to Sant Andreus often injury depleted strike force. Ricardo Moreno was snapped up on a free from Villarreal and should slot nicely into manager Phlapstitos midfield plans. As the new players have settled and injured stars such as Arnal becoming match fit again, there is optimisism that The Sants can climb the table and stay well clear of the relegation battle most picked them to be involved in. Results like the 2-0 home win against 2nd placed Llieda have certainly lifted the side in spirit and certainly the fans with the new chant of "podemos le jugamos cada semana" can we play you every week echoing around the Narcis Sala stadium as manager Savio Mamba and his squad left pitchside. Sant Andreu currently find themselves on a run of three wins in a row and will be hoping to extend this further.

stabwest
its like headbutting broken glass "What can I do" cries Ibanez “my players aren’t up for it, am dropping silly points to silly goals against teams with silly names". Europe is looking every unlikely for next season, which would be a 1st for Ibanez. Emir Karakurt lack of sportsmanship has played its part in the Betis downfall according to Ibanez. " his hover is bigger and better than anyone else’s its f**king unfair, I hope his bag bursts" he's got about four teams worth talent hiding inside Poo Camp, I've offered to loan and buy certain players but his daft demands are sick. There should laws against such outrages. 6 games left and 7 points adrift of 8th and even further behind 7th, best bet is try and strip down the squad move on the clowns play the jokers and hope to f**k I don't lose my job, as I said this job can just be as pleasurable as head butting some broken glass

Guest sav112
The Manager has brought in some good players and a few quality loans, and just as well as the start of the season looked like a Medical drama. The Manager walked the players onto the empty pitch and deserted stadium, the player having been called in early looked a bit bemused. Mambo raised his hand and the sound system slow grew. It was a recording of "podemos le jugamos cada semana" (can we play you every week) that the team had walked off the last time the teams met. “This is what I want our fans to be singing, this is what is required and nothing less will do. This team finished 15th and yet we failed both times to take points off them. Mistakes were made on my part and I’m here to rectify that.†Lleida 7-1 Sant Andreu TV Reporter “Well done is that the best football you’ve played here?†Mambo “We deserved it today, not only did we play them off the park but everyone of the players showed there desire to be at this club and play for the fans†TV Reporter “Were you disappointed at not keeping a clean sheet†Mambo “ Considering our reserve keeper and a sixteen year old Youth LB was called upon not really. The young lad did brilliantly in his first game for the first team†TV Reporter “ The fans are still singing and that banner must have made you smile†Mambo “ Yeah the fans “podemos le jugamos cada semana†rendition was great and topped off by the banner “ You’ve just been Spanked –please come again…..†TV Reporter “Three wins in row, a great start to the season†Mambo “Yeah, great start and great way to banish last seasons memories, but the work has just begun†TV Reporter “Thanks for your time†
phlapster
With his head being turned by several vacancies above B3 the board and even surporters turned on Phlapstito. In no uncertain terms he was told the next 3 games would decide his fate since he would not take the option to resign that was offerd. Things did not go as planned losing 0-1 away from home to Villajoysa, Phlapstito was dangling by a very fine thread indeed. The board continued to make vieled threats and a group of surporters had joined to convnce the board the Sant Andreu manager had no place at the club. If the pressure to get results to keep his job was not enough the manager now found his team without a win in their last 9 games. This poor run of results had let the chasing relegation pack catch up. Levante B and Sant Andreu were now both on 30 points and would battle it out in the next two games to see who would have to face a relegation play off. A home game against allready relegated Zaragoza B had become a must win situation. With the majority of goals coming from his two experienced strikers, it was a rare occurence that the manager was able to play them both at the same time. More importantly Arnal was back allthough not fully fit, but with a win a nessesity easing Arnal back into match fitness was not an option. With Arnal back and a wholehearted pledge from Phlapstito that he would not be going anywhere next season produced one of the Sants finest displays of the season dominating the game and running out 3-0 winners. Unfortunately for the Sants Levantes B also easily won their match meaning the battle for the safety of 15th place would go down to the last day of the season with Sant Andreu facing a tricky away game against 6th place Orihuela. Once again the axe hung over the managers head, could Sant Andreu string two back to back wins together? This had only happened three times in the season, the Sant Andreu fans were in for a nerve jangling final game. Things could not have started better for the Sants traveling fans with their side racing to a 0-2 lead early on and looked confident in getting the result that would preserve their B3 status. But this lead would not last with Orihuela showing just why they were 6th in the table, coming back to equalise early in the second half. Could Sant Andreu get the goal they needed to make sure of staying up? When they should have been nervous and edgy the Sants attacked spearheaded once again by Arnal. Final score and the best result of the season a 2-5 away win for the estactic Sants. With this great win the Sants had preserved their B3 status and saved their manager from the sack. In an up and down season in which they had been predicted to be relegated Sant Andreu finished in the safe position of 15th. After narrowly avoiding relegation and the chop last season manager Phlapstito was dissapointed that he has not been given any transfer funds to reinforce the squad. A tough ask of staying in the division and even improving on last season has been made even tougher. With much wheeling and dealing Paulo was able to reinforce his Sants squad with a number of free transfers and one loan signing. Phlapstito will be hoping this season his paper thin squad can stay injury free and play the football he knows they are capable of. The season started in surberb style as the Sants ran out 3-1 winners at the Narcis Sala stadium in front of the home fans. Optimism for the new season reverberate around the stands espically since they were traveling to Llieda for the next game. The Sants last season had taken six from six points against Llieda and manger Phlapsito was confident they could continue there hoodo over the much more favoured Savio Mambo side. Before kick off the manager urged the team to repeat last seasons result and once again hear the sounds of the fans singing what had become ther favorite song in the terraces. There would be no singing today from the Sants fans and their new found optimisim for the season took a severe knock as The Sants were totally played off the park slumping to a 7-1 mauling by an inspired Llieda side. Phlapstitos face as he boarded the team bus showed exactly what he thought of his players preformance that day. With 3 points from the first two games of the new season only time will tell if it will be a season to savour or a season to forget for the Sants and their manager. phlapster
With the January transfer window wide open manager Phlapstito was confident of being able to bring in fresh faces for no money. Unfortunately after much haggling and bartering all apart from one prospect failed to materialise. Nani a veteran forward of Thirty years of age was aquired from Zaragoza for a bargin fee of 0 euros. With the second half of the season into its twilight Phlapstito is juggling poor form and injures. On the plus side the Sants have clambered out of relegation trouble on the back of four league wins in a row, something unheard of since manager Paulo Phlapstito took control. Could mid table obscurity be beckoning for the Sants or another fly by the seat of their pants relegation battle in store. Only time will tell. Azmodai
The End of a Reign Barcelona - 27th May: Early this morning a media crowd was urgently called to assemble at the FC Barcelona headquarters... the undoubted champions of spain over the last 4 years had called a press conference... the 2nd ever since manager Emir was appointed to his post almost 5 years ago. Here is his press release: <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">I have called you here today to announce that my 5 years spent at FC Barcelona has come to an end. It was a decision i'd made a long time ago and I did wish I would get to leave Barcelona on a happy note with at least one cup this season but alas some times things don't quite work out as planned. The choice I made to leave is based purely on the fact that I feel that I want to move on, try different challenges, since starting my managerial career at Sheffield United many years ago, I have come a long, long way and wish to see as much of the world of football as I can. Managing FCB was a dream, I had arguabely the best players in the world at my disposal and gems such as Ronaldinho, Klose, Anderson, Tuncay, Kompany, Nuri, Messi, Dani, Puyol will never ever be forgotten. I leave FCB intact with a very strong squad and I honestly hope my successor can do better than me and cary FCB to even greater heights. I have no idea what I intend to do next, I could possibly leave Spain, manage another club in another country or give a long term break... I do not know, but I do sincerely hope people will remember me well and never forget who drove barca to 4 consecutive league titles with countless cups won in between. I salute you all with all my heart. Goodbye... </div></BLOCKQUOTE> A sad day indeed at Barcelona, but already names are being chanted in the rafters, with ex Barcelona favorite defender and longtime Dutch national Josep Guardiola being the prime candidate for the role of "Big Boss" Until our next Bulliten, farewall from Etv. phlapster
With division B3 nearing its end the Sants fans found themselves in the unfamiliar comfort of safety, there would be no nail biting end to this season and for that everyone especially the manager was thankful. This comfort zone was achieved after the Sants finally showed just what they are capable of when they are on song. The Sants produced some of their finest displays under manager Paulo Phlapstito as they went on a nine match unbeaten streak, winning eight and drawing one. After climbing the table and achieving safety the Sants finished the season one place higher than last season in 14th. Their final record of thirteen wins, eight draws and seventeen losses gave them 47 points, a total 11 higher than the 36 amassed in the previous B3 season. Both board and supporter's were delighted with the season which is a turn around from last season when Phlapstito was asked to resign and many fans were calling for his head. Manager Phlapstito will be hoping injuries to key players will not hamper his attempts to build on the foundations that he has laid over the last two seasons in charge. Once again because of the clubs financial position it is believed Phlapstito's transfer kitty will be slim if any at all. The manager though has proved astute at finding players of quality in the transfer market with the signings of Alejandro Arias a Spanish U19 goalkeeper of great promise allthough. Nino an experienced striker who brought another dimension to the Sant Andreu attack but unfortunately due to injury was only able to appear in eight matches with a return of four goals and three assists showing he is one to be watched in the coming season. With cover for his fullbacks non existent Phlapstito signed Bulgarian U19 player Milen Kanev a versatile defender who can play on either flank and will be looking forward to his first game in the red and yellow after being forced to watch from the stands for the final two games of the season because of registration. Once again Arnal was the managers player of the season his 18 goals playing a crucial part in lifting the Sants to their final position of 14th. Once again fans will be set for the new season as the manager Paulo Phlapstito looks to bring in some fresh faces and push the Sants up the table where they belong!
