Makoto Nakamura
With probably 5 or 6 weeks until the end of FM20 I've decided to finish this game where I started it, as manager of Manchester United, this is also probably how I'll start FM21 as well to get to grips with things. My FMT save is more than likely over now as I want to finish up with a big club, and historically (6-1 loss to Tottenham & Mourinho aside) they don't get much bigger than Manchester United. My aim is to be the best manager United has ever seen, bettering Sir Alex's games record and I'll be tracking my progress up against each and every previous United manager, and here is the list: So we'll start at A.H. Albut & Ryan Giggs level before ending up at Matt Busby (1st stint) and Sir Alex Ferguson level by the end of the save. I shall be using the latest sortitoutsi update which has players such as Pellistri & Cavani at the club and I'll be disabling first window transfer budgets because there'll be enough changes as it is. I've only loaded England down to Vanarama North/South as playable with the rest of the out of the box leagues being view-only, we also have a database of 93,050 players with everyone from a top division club and everyone at a club in continental competition loaded. Next post will be a squad overview and maybe a re-jig of the staff. Edited October 6, 2020 by Makoto Nakamura

Makoto Nakamura
2019/20 Pre-Season So close to perfect. Not expected to make the Champions League. And no new signings since the transfer window is disabled.
Makoto Nakamura
I'm not keen on the new way images are displayed one bit. I may mess with my display settings to try and get images to be of a better size for the forums. Edited October 6, 2020 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
Changed the display from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080 and changed FM screen zoom from 150% to 85%, is it better or worse? I know @Jimbokav1971 has mentioned it already, if it's not any better then I may need to work out another way of updating. Anyway, our Champions League group is definitely a tricky one, facing Bayern Munich and Benfica.
Jimbokav1971
How is this thread all across the screen with no lost space on the right hand side but my thread has 20-25% wasted space on the right? I really don't know what they have done.
Makoto Nakamura
August 2019 Definitely not the start we would have wanted, it also means that after 4 games Ryan Giggs was better than me.

Makoto Nakamura
September 2019 A much better month in September with Paul Pogba earning us a late point away to Liverpool and a typical United penalty giving us a late win over West Brom. Our backups also destroyed Port Vale 6-0 which put us through to face Birmingham in the next round.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2019 Other than the Manchester City defeat we've had a very good month, we sit top of our Champions League group and we're managing to climb up the league table but we're already 8 points behind City. Makoto Nakamura
November 2019 A very good month on the whole but we should've done better against both Wolves and Tottenham.
Makoto Nakamura
December 2019 We hang on to a top 4 spot after a bus month but we crash out of the EFL Cup and suffer a big loss to Bayern, but that would be because we were using our backups since we'd already guaranteed top spot. Makoto Nakamura
January 2020 Through to face Chelsea in the FA Cup 5th round whilst a mixed month in the league sees us fall down to 5th. Amad Traore was a pre-arranged transfer.

Don't really get it, only at top then when scroll down it's just wasted blank space. @Makoto Nakamura your pics in this thread are showing up great on my phone 👍 Normally leave this forum until on my laptop but this is much easier than others. Also I would say good luck but it's you, so the other teams who need that.😁
karanhsingh
Nice start there. Frustrated united fan IRL so this is interesting to follow. Although I am quite close to giving up on them altogether. Also wanted to suggest you make it more realistic by "needing" Pogba who for some reason continues to be world class in the game. We'll continue to use Pogba whilst we have him, PSG usually put in a big offer, at the the start of the year Pogba ended up being replaced by Hossem Aouar and Kai Havertz, whilst Kai isn't really an option now, Hossem is. Makoto Nakamura
February 2020 A good month but Burnley Burnley'd us and with that we fall down to 6th, with 4 of the top 5 being in impeccable or close to impeccable form, which is a worry. Makoto Nakamura
March 2020 Arsenal's 2 red cards saw us easily defeat them 4-0 before a last gasp goal from Pogba got us the 3 points away to West Ham and a poor draw against Leicester, We're through to face Man City in the FA Cup Semi Final and after destroying Porto 9-2 in the Champions League we get rewarded with PSV, definitely the best draw for us, but the did manage to put 6 past RB Leipzig. Makoto Nakamura
April 2020 Poor in the league as we should've defeated both Tottenham & Fulham but at least there's now a gap between ourselves and 5th placed Arsenal, in the FA Cup we put City to the sword and now we meet Spurs in the Final whilst in the Champions League we have next to no hope of overcoming a 3-0 deficit. Makoto Nakamura
2019/20 End of Season Review We do finish the season with silverware! Beating Mourinho and Spurs in the FA Cup final was the final nail in the coffin for Jose as he gets the sack. In the Champions League we were 2 minutes away from taking the tie to extra time but Thomas Lemar scored in the 88th minute. 2019/20 Best XI David De Gea Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Harry Maguire - Axel Tuanzebe - Alex Telles Fred Paul Pogba - Donny van de Beek Bruno Fernandes Marcus Rashford Anthony Martial Manager Comparison

Makoto Nakamura
2020/21 Pre-Season Not exactly the most difficult of pre-seasons. Predicted up a spot in 4th. We're probably quite a bit weaker at the moment, especially in defence but the good news is that we managed to sell both Lingard & Phil Jones! Fosu-Mensah has gone and so have Lindelof and Luke Shaw on loan but we have managed to bring in one very good defender in Umtiti!

Makoto Nakamura
September 2020 Great in the Champion League, not so much in the league and we're already out of the Carabao Cup as well. Makoto Nakamura
October 2020 Almost perfect but Benfica well and truly FM'ed us. Makoto Nakamura
January 2021 Down to 3rd thanks to our defeat away to West Ham, they always seem to be a bogey team for me, a good month other than that though and we'll be facing West Ham or Blackburn in the FA Cup 5th Round. You've already seen Paulo Monteiro who's now joined us, no-one else has as we hit deadline day but we've lost two on loan.

Makoto Nakamura
March 2021 Out of the FA Cup thanks to a 90th minute goal from Harry Kane but still going well in the Premier League albeit nowhere near as well as Liverpool are doing and we have a tough draw against Barcelona in the Champions League.
