Northernpilgrim
We made an unbeaten start to the season ending the first month in a Champions League spot
Northernpilgrim
September was a perfect month and we end it top of the Premier League and on course to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League too, as we top that group with two wins from two
Northernpilgrim
October results were decent, but not spectacular and we should have beaten Leicester, given how much control we had over the game Drawing with Man Utd after being 2-0 up was really disappointing, and again we dominated the match but we remain in a Champions League place and well on course to qualify from our Europa League group
Northernpilgrim
A decent November, despite defeat in the last match at Manchester City. With games away at Arsenal and home to Tottenham next up, it'll be pretty soon that we'll know where the season is heading but for now we remain in a Champions League place
Northernpilgrim
As good as November was, December was even better. An unbeaten month, and we took four points from the games against Arsenal and Tottenham But it could have been more, as we had enough chances to put Spurs to the sword and likewise Wolves but that was enough to ensure we finish 2027 second in the league, last season's relegation battle a mere memory. Could we go on and 'do a Leicester'? Time will tell. The title would be a MASSIVE overachievement. Champions League football is the target, and if we carry on the way we are, winning a trophy is a realistic proposition too
Nobby_McDonald
Doing superbly well fella. Derby nearly did a Derby last season.
Northernpilgrim
January was massively busy, and we suffered as a result but I thought we were more than a little unfortunate against Liverpool and Leicester and that mini-slump sees us fall out of the top four. We're still on target for the Europa League spot demanded, but I'm disappointed with how the last month has gone
Northernpilgrim
There was one arrival, and four departures, in the January window as Stefan Svilar arrives on loan
Northernpilgrim
A perfect February and, whilst we remain just outside the top four, we are only two points behind second place. The battle for the Champions League spots is getting very, very tight indeed
Northernpilgrim
March on paper was disappointing but I felt we should have got something from Chelsea and lost to Spurs thanks to what goes down as an o.g by Jordan Pickford, but looked to me like a bug Decide for yourself and we were disappointing against Leeds which hasn't helped our chase for the top four, although we're still in the top
Northernpilgrim
April wasn't awful, but it was disappointing to finish with two deserved defeats although we remain on course for a top 6 finish, and I hope we can overturn the deficit in the second leg at home against Newcastle
Northernpilgrim
It was a slightly patchy end to the season and failure to beat Norwich saw us miss out on a top 4 spot. The eagle eyed amongst you will spot that we have qualified for the Champions League anyway courtesy of a memorable night in Glasgow
Northernpilgrim
So, we qualify directly to the group stage of the Champions League and I'll have a transfer budget of almost £85 million

Northernpilgrim
Not a bad start to the season although losing to two penalties against Southampton was cruel but we do end the month in the top four
Northernpilgrim
It was three in, four out in the transfer window, with three of the departures being players over 30 Emery Mohamed has come in as my new first choice keeper. Pickford has begun to decline, so is now backup, and Dean Henderson left before the end of last season Steven Sessegnon comes in to fight for the right back slot and although only 20, Abreu is already a first choice centre back Which leaves my squad looking like this. I will be looking for another centre back in January, hoping to replace Sadick and eventually, Mason Holgate
Northernpilgrim
September results were ok, but not brilliant as we threw away a 2 goal lead in a game we dominated at Leeds failed to beat Monaco despite having many more chances than them and whilst we deserved to be beaten by Liverpool, 4-1 felt very harsh This left us in the top four, and three points behind our Merseyside rivals and top of our Champions League group ahead of a double header with Dynamo Kyiv, which will surely decide which of the two of us will go through to the knockout stages
Northernpilgrim
October was sheer perfection and our first 100pc month of the season has propelled us to the top of the Premier League and we're also top of our Champions League group, and on the verge of qualification with two games left
Northernpilgrim
Not a great November, with two defeats in four league games, both deserved although Monaco literally stole a 0-0 draw from us, showing zero appetite for winning the game We fall off the top of the Premier League, and out of the top four but we're assured progress in the Champions League, needing a draw in our final game to win the group, away in Leverkusen
Nobby_McDonald
Well done winning the Europa League and getting through the Champions League group.
Northernpilgrim
December was disappointing We totally dominated the Wolves game without winning and got beaten by 10 man Norwich, despite the game being very even The Man Utd result was fair enough, but to concede the two points so late was gutting We battered Forest, but somehow ended up losing. and that sees us drop to 6th but we go through as group winners in the Champions League
Northernpilgrim
We were inconsistent in January too Should definitely have beaten Burnley Were no way 4 goals worse than Man Utd and gave Arsenal a much tougher game than the result suggests but we are now clinging on to a Europa League spot by our fingernails
Northernpilgrim
One arrival, two departures in January as I accepted an offer for Joe Rodon on deadline day, so was forced to make an emergency loan signing, but Rodon rejected the contract after I'd signed Los
Northernpilgrim
Only four games in February and how on earth we didn't come away with three wins from four is anyone's guess as we again dominated against Brentford, but got sucker punched late on to leave us still clinging to 6th place heading into the last 11 games
Northernpilgrim
It's not about to get any easier, as these are our next three games
Northernpilgrim
Having won two of those three, I'm slightly disappointed with how March turned out and whilst we were deservedly beaten by Man City, we deserved at least something from the Bournemouth game, which on paper was our easiest game of the month. Bournemouth had other ideas and all of that means that we are now in a real fight for a top 6 place, but we've knocked Real Madrid out to reach the Quarter Final of the Champions League
Northernpilgrim
Unbeaten in April, but we had two goals disallowed in the home match against Inter, and one away at West Ham and we remain 6th in the Premier League. One more win should secure a Europa League spot, with the chance of Champions League football still alive after a first leg win over PSG

Northernpilgrim
We saw the job through in the second leg of the Champions League semi final, and took seven points from 9 in the Premier League in May to secure a second successive top six finish, and a minimum Europa League spot

Northernpilgrim
We had a decent preseason, to say the least. We reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, losing narrowly to Man City after knocking out Barcelona and Liverpool We made three signings, with 8 players leaving Emilio is a young midfielder as is Fernando and Bukayo Sako is a winger who can play down either side and this is the squad for the coming season
