October results were decent, but not spectacular

806007858_Oct2027.thumb.PNG.9594e3f53d1c4269ea8b50823d36322a.PNG

and we should have beaten Leicester, given how much control we had over the game

1332259544_LeivEve2027.thumb.PNG.ce34fd3e783052129cf58b1435ec8f61.PNG

Drawing with Man Utd after being 2-0 up was really disappointing, and again we dominated the match

150660300_EvevMU2027.thumb.PNG.4b0e88af1a088d899a2b656fa17b5a03.PNG

but we remain in a Champions League place

543551152_Oct2027table.thumb.PNG.0bc2929d9a37b11e6d21b97969831d4e.PNG

and well on course to qualify from our Europa League group

A decent November, despite defeat in the last match at Manchester City. With games away at Arsenal and home to Tottenham next up, it'll be pretty soon that we'll know where the season is heading

1600751884_Nov2027.thumb.PNG.a8e5e2638b8c60647d3dae934c537e55.PNG

but for now we remain in a Champions League place

As good as November was, December was even better. An unbeaten month, and we took four points from the games against Arsenal and Tottenham

1882078644_Dec2027.thumb.PNG.7b67736f2fb9a838610d93fc672fecaa.PNG

But it could have been more, as we had enough chances to put Spurs to the sword

1550564583_EvevTot2027.thumb.PNG.b9282c699e109f2de1e55ac5ffa8440b.PNG

and likewise Wolves

916915260_WolvEve2027.thumb.PNG.e051b39aa2e74806ec9ec95e44ec1c20.PNG

but that was enough to ensure we finish 2027 second in the league, last season's relegation battle a mere memory. Could we go on and 'do a Leicester'? Time will tell. The title would be a MASSIVE overachievement. Champions League football is the target, and if we carry on the way we are, winning a trophy is a realistic proposition too

January was massively busy, and we suffered as a result

179288861_Jan2028.thumb.PNG.c100aa65a11052d97a07ad6ae35dffd5.PNG

but I thought we were more than a little unfortunate against Liverpool

1693456700_LivvEve2028.thumb.PNG.37ad07a4ad9ceb0950f1ec3915136192.PNG

and Leicester

1897175611_EvevLei2028.thumb.PNG.b5e782cf49c433810c8d10f1be90491c.PNG

and that mini-slump sees us fall out of the top four. We're still on target for the Europa League spot demanded, but I'm disappointed with how the last month has gone

March on paper was disappointing

218343778_Mar2028.thumb.PNG.25b7c6be94531b0029e012f32f7324b4.PNG

but I felt we should have got something from Chelsea

1205419418_ChevEve2028.thumb.PNG.de8a424de7fe593690cbbc55c88a465a.PNG

and lost to Spurs thanks to what goes down as an o.g by Jordan Pickford, but looked to me like a bug

Decide for yourself

and we were disappointing against Leeds

328647124_LUvEve2028.thumb.PNG.7fc81517b91a11cf6635c046289ff65f.PNG

which hasn't helped our chase for the top four, although we're still in the top 6

It was a slightly patchy end to the season

1553539963_May2028.thumb.PNG.203c967d904c33254ff6379ae03de2e7.PNG

and failure to beat Norwich saw us miss out on a top 4 spot. The eagle eyed amongst you will spot that we have qualified for the Champions League anyway

It was three in, four out in the transfer window, with three of the departures being players over 30

834949876_TransfersAug2028.thumb.PNG.5b638409312b60fc89952bf15914bf89.PNG

Emery Mohamed has come in as my new first choice keeper. Pickford has begun to decline, so is now backup, and Dean Henderson left before the end of last season

Mohamed.thumb.PNG.629ad6acf1e01ac7c90bc52a4b3c559b.PNG

Steven Sessegnon comes in to fight for the right back slot

Sessegnon.thumb.PNG.0d4cd76c324fc0106c3e476757d7b29c.PNG

and although only 20, Abreu is already a first choice centre back

Abreu.thumb.PNG.5fe97ab850875b7f753c76e5a0752110.PNG

Which leaves my squad looking like this. I will be looking for another centre back in January, hoping to replace Sadick and eventually, Mason Holgate

September results were ok, but not brilliant

513331965_Sep2028.thumb.PNG.4c8a4ba861cb78dc3eb1dae1fdef34ae.PNG

as we threw away a 2 goal lead in a game we dominated at Leeds

1682838909_LeevEve2028.thumb.PNG.ec00a389b64b0c762ca30962cdc642ef.PNG

failed to beat Monaco despite having many more chances than them

950025779_ASMvEve2028.thumb.PNG.169333e926b9a67541738104812368e3.PNG

and whilst we deserved to be beaten by Liverpool, 4-1 felt very harsh

482484267_LivvEveSep2028.thumb.PNG.c7482af7681fae9754d9507ffb15c245.PNG

This left us in the top four, and three points behind our Merseyside rivals

18072662_Sep2028table.thumb.PNG.55b400ae9d1aeb440f3d0735ec7e672a.PNG

and top of our Champions League group ahead of a double header with Dynamo Kyiv, which will surely decide which of the two of us will go through to the knockout stages

October was sheer perfection

261046453_Oct2028.thumb.PNG.fb0174f868a02300a8afcd5123f5f87d.PNG

and our first 100pc month of the season has propelled us to the top of the Premier League

98920098_Oct2028table.thumb.PNG.903d3d2361745adb80b884beeeb8289e.PNG

and we're also top of our Champions League group, and on the verge of qualification with two games left

Not a great November, with two defeats in four league games, both deserved

1579057121_Nov2028.thumb.PNG.cda0831b60493dc34c8f01e7316d2cae.PNG

although Monaco literally stole a 0-0 draw from us, showing zero appetite for winning the game

565550719_EvevMon2028.thumb.PNG.ad295f4dd4286b9bc3838d898e377ad6.PNG

We fall off the top of the Premier League, and out of the top four

39152439_Nov2028table.thumb.PNG.b01de97c310eb864cc05021e98ff386b.PNG

but we're assured progress in the Champions League, needing a draw in our final game to win the group, away in Leverkusen

December was disappointing

1428631376_Dec2028.thumb.PNG.cc3f062c3f4e614d3f717c8979bc7824.PNG

We totally dominated the Wolves game without winning

1552649032_EvevWol2028.thumb.PNG.ebebff725c793650daf07dc15af88878.PNG

and got beaten by 10 man Norwich, despite the game being very even

517231215_EvevNor2028.thumb.PNG.91649ec717715cfc11e522cbfc3f3019.PNG

The Man Utd result was fair enough, but to concede the two points so late was gutting

1419300564_EvevMU2028.thumb.PNG.907d726a811015e3a475eda80c95f061.PNG

We battered Forest, but somehow ended up losing.

1868896622_NFvEve2028.thumb.PNG.e89461d8158d3def49cece5faa869866.PNG

and that sees us drop to 6th

247118928_Dec2028table.thumb.PNG.8c0a7c00da9afc9154962894b8bb90e2.PNG

but we go through as group winners in the Champions League

We were inconsistent in January too

419024137_Jan2029.thumb.PNG.4d3e91826ca19912526a25cee155b573.PNG

Should definitely have beaten Burnley

1020839863_BurvEve2029.thumb.PNG.c1b0efeab15a3d9402312eb0a76efe67.PNG

Were no way 4 goals worse than Man Utd

1079343835_MUvEve2029.thumb.PNG.65f9f7226b0517fcc9a80801fe2706ae.PNG

and gave Arsenal a much tougher game than the result suggests

1280198222_ArsvEve2029.thumb.PNG.5f52a7dcee50f2acaf2f8e36a527cad4.PNG

but we are now clinging on to a Europa League spot by our fingernails

Only four games in February

471388730_Feb2029.thumb.PNG.73026d3938031455e3d58046f4e190d7.PNG

and how on earth we didn't come away with three wins from four is anyone's guess as we again dominated against Brentford, but got sucker punched late on

440969313_EvevBre2029.thumb.PNG.28b6ce50c6b8b1ab4c3825f2cf47e450.PNG

to leave us still clinging to 6th place heading into the last 11 games

Having won two of those three, I'm slightly disappointed with how March turned out

529034461_Mar2029.thumb.PNG.f7fe1c185eaa9e53a3b2adc5b30c2223.PNG

and whilst we were deservedly beaten by Man City, we deserved at least something from the Bournemouth game, which on paper was our easiest game of the month. Bournemouth had other ideas

1554548815_EvevBou2029.thumb.PNG.e54a0bac580c23d91b2876a344a14a28.PNG

and all of that means that we are now in a real fight for a top 6 place, but we've knocked Real Madrid out to reach the Quarter Final of the Champions League

Unbeaten in April, but we had two goals disallowed in the home match against Inter, and one away at West Ham

1303503808_Apr2029.thumb.PNG.6526aa938b0a091fcdc8149ec9768d48.PNG

and we remain 6th in the Premier League. One more win should secure a Europa League spot, with the chance of Champions League football still alive after a first leg win over PSG

We had a decent preseason, to say the least. We reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, losing narrowly to Man City after knocking out Barcelona and Liverpool

1640764392_Jul2029.thumb.PNG.43ac34b5cb8ca1c5240e02f3f8861de8.PNG

We made three signings, with 8 players leaving

1131618167_TransfersJul2029.thumb.PNG.db2b7eae353fd3dfb775a0b685838679.PNG

Emilio is a young midfielder

Emilio.thumb.PNG.68e9408870f103cf52813e163db74d19.PNG

as is Fernando

Fernando.thumb.PNG.a17ce8afa2d3c763469ba63197543afe.PNG

and Bukayo Sako is a winger who can play down either side

Saka.thumb.PNG.4ec3593c40bfccddb9f86356ba1e24c4.PNG

and this is the squad for the coming season

29.1.thumb.PNG.cb284eac1432e60fe46eb632902481ec.PNG29.2.thumb.PNG.bfa4618ff35b7c3e2caf2a574036494b.PNG
