Northernpilgrim
The squad is small, but has plenty of quality. I will be looking to add a left back and defensive midfielders to make my formation easier to implement
Northernpilgrim
A perfect start to the season at Inverness. I was not in charge for the opening match and we are already top of the table, two points clear of Livingston
Northernpilgrim
There was quite a bit of summer transfer activity. The deals after my arrival are highlighted Bello is a midfielder and Watson a centre back, signed as a replacement for Modiba, who the board sold on deadline day without asking. Northernpilgrim
September on paper looked bad but we didn't deserve to be humped 3-0 by Ross County and if I owned a laptop rather than a desktop, I think it would be in a different postcode after the Livingston game. This is what the term 'being FM'd' was invented for So, we're now off the top, four points adrift of Livingston. Not ideal at this stage of the season and we lost Stuart Hunter to a broken ankle for four months after a training ground accident, so Ronan McNiven will have to shoulder much of the goalscoring responsibilities until after Christmas. I won't be rushing Hunter back, he'll only return when the physio says he is absolutely ready
Northernpilgrim
October was better, but still not perfect, and we didn't deserve anything against St Mirren which leaves us 1 point behind Livingston, but having played a game more. This isn't going to plan so far
Northernpilgrim
November results which returned us to the top of the league although we should have wonm against Queen of the South too
Northernpilgrim
There was even more disappointment in December with a red card proving costly against Ross County We battered Livingston, but they somehow escaped with a point and dominated St Mirren, but conceded a late goal just as I did a sub to try and see the game out Which leaves us third, but only 2 points off the leaders
Northernpilgrim
Unbeaten, but four costly dropped points in January and we should have beaten Hamilton and Partick which leaves us third, four points behind Ross County
Northernpilgrim
I made four signings in January to hopefully guide us to the title a defensive midfielder a right winger a left back and a striker
Northernpilgrim
February results don't even begin to tell the story as we battered Livingston without scoring lost to Ross County as we had three goals disallowed and drew with Raith in a game we utterly controlled which left us 9 points off the top, in third
Northernpilgrim
March was one match from perfection, and saw us add my second trophy of my spell in Scotland and it really should have been a perfect month, as we led Partick 2-0 which leaves us 5 points behind, but having played a game more. The playoffs are starting to loom large
andychar
Love the idea that the Italian National Side are wanting you but Kilmarnock and Hearts are like nah pass!

Northernpilgrim
Three wins out of four would ordinarily be a decent April and once again, the Livingston game is one we should have won and if we had, it would have set up a three way title fight on the final day. As it is, it's between Livingston and Ross County, with Ross County massive favourites for the win. We will have to settle for the playoffs, which I don't want to win, but do want to give a creditable performance in, so won't be fielding a team of kids
Northernpilgrim
We lost our final league match of the season and I forgot to screenshot the league table until after the playoffs, which kind of spoils what happened We beat St Mirren home and away in the first round Then did the same to Livingston to qualify for the final Where we beat Kilmarnock, sending them into the Championship, and us into the SPL So what happens next? Northernpilgrim
There were 5 arrivals, and another 5 departures too Matty Watson is a centre back Errol West is a left winger Matthew Scullion is a goalkeeper Mbaye is a defensive midfielder Carmona is a left winger and this is my squad now
Northernpilgrim
Not a good start to the season and we're already in the bottom two
Northernpilgrim
Unbeaten in September, and 7 points out of 9 was excellent and was enough to lift us out of the bottom two and up to 8th
Northernpilgrim
October brought an interview offer that I didn't apply for. Not this time, I'm not done with Scotland yet
Northernpilgrim
October results were perfect, including an unbelievable away win at Celtic and that lifts us into fourth place, with 20 points already on the board. We're only 3 points off the top, but survival and safety remains the objective.
Northernpilgrim
November was also perfect and saw us end the month top of the league. I'm not getting ahead of myself, survival remains the aim, but if we're still anywhere near this position in another 10 games, then the ambition levels will increase. For now, it's one game at a time, and enjoy the ride while it lasts, waiting for an opportunity to open up somewhere else
Northernpilgrim
Mid December and another interview I didn't apply for and can't take (yet)
Northernpilgrim
December was very busy, and the schedule certainly caught up with us. We were lucky to get anything against Hibs or Celtic, and trailed 3-0 at Hearts before making the score at least respectable but we still manage to end the year on top of the league, although Celtic have a game in hand. We'll know after next month whether we are genuine title contenders, or just having a very good start to the season
Northernpilgrim
Another international job offer in January, which obviously I won't be taking
Northernpilgrim
After January's results (which weren't brilliant) it's pretty obvious that, 7 points behind Celtic, we're not going to win the league, but with a 12 point cushion to 5th placed Hibs, a top four spot and European football should be well within range now
Northernpilgrim
There were no transfers in or out in January, so the squad we have will be the one that will try and take us the rest of the way into Europe. It's looking likely I'll see the season out now, but with my contract up in the summer, I'm very much looking to move on at the end of the season. If it's the SPL, that would have to be Celtic for it to be worth doing, but I'd happily drop down the leagues to take a job at a club with serious promotion ambitions.
Northernpilgrim
February was a tough month but we're still second, and still on course for a top four finish. We've been without our first choice keeper Matthew Scullion all this month, which hasn't helped, but he was on the bench for the Celtic game, and will be back in the side for the next match
Northernpilgrim
March would have been good if we hadn't had a shocker against Hearts but we remain second, with one league game to go before the SPL split
Northernpilgrim
Only two games in April (one either side of the split) and the defeat to Celtic, plus Rangers resurgence, has eliminated the gap between us and the Glasgow club. We're probably going to finish third after so long in the top two
Northernpilgrim
May looks disappointing at first glance but how the hell did we lose to Dunfermline? and the draw at Hearts was harsh too but I'm absolutely ecstatic with a third place finish following promotion last season
