Makoto Nakamura
With all the hecticness of my main career country hopping every couple of days here's something that I'll play alongside my A-Z save and will probably still be at a fast pace but the progress will be slow due to the lack of things like Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment and with this being a youth only challenge I'll be at the bottom for a while. Ross Town F.C. was a football club based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England. The club was formed in the summer of 1993 following the amalgamation of the town's two senior sides, Ross United and Woodville, and joined the Herefordshire League Premier Division. They joined the Hellenic Football League Division One in 1996 but dropped back down to the Herefordshire League in 2007. In late 2009 Ross Town resigned from the Herefordshire League and folded. Their ground was on a loop of the River Wye. The club was affiliated to the Herefordshire County FA. And this is why I chose FM10, it was the last FM where my local side even existed as they folded in 2009 (Later they became Ross Juniors who play senior football now) so my aim is to take my local team to the top. I've only loaded England but using Superbladesman's database that takes us down to the 11th tier and the only addition I've made is to put Ross Town in a playable league, I've chosen the Gloucestershire County League. We're located very close to the River Wye, which floods almost every winter so in real life I presume matches get delayed quite often. We don't need nets. Makoto Nakamura
2009 Beginnings We're amateurs so money shouldn't be a problem for a while. Here's the first team, a couple of players with quality I suppose. It doesn't look great in the big picture though.
Makoto Nakamura
And here's how the 'out-of-the-box' English leagues were looking in 2009!
Makoto Nakamura
2009 Pre-Season Goals were not a strong point on FM10 if I remember correctly.
Makoto Nakamura
August 2009 It has not been a good start at all, we conceded in the 92nd minute against Berkeley with a goal that should have been offside and so we're bottom of the table. At least we won £100 for beating Tuffley Rovers in the 1st Round of the Les James Cup.
withnail316
Which patch of FM10 are you on? As a Notts fan, the original database with Munto Finance pumping huge sums of money in was glorious. Best of luck.

Makoto Nakamura
September 2009 Eight games in September thanks to the FA Vase where we needed home replays to get past both Mole Valley and Bookham which has netted us £1,500 in prize money and now we're through to the First Round where we'll face 9th tier side Bishop Sutton. In the league we performed slightly better getting two wins which lifted us off the bottom of the table.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2009 Through in every cup sees us face current FA Vase holders Whitley Bay in the 2nd Round of the FA Vase, Wellington in the Herefordshire Cup Quarter Final and Thornbury Town in the Quarter Final of the Les James Cup. In the league we're finally climbing up the table on the back of two wins although there's not many points separating any of the teams!
Makoto Nakamura
November 2009 Narrow losses see us out of both the Herefordshire Senior Cup and the FA Vase but really strong in the league with ten points from twelve see us climb up to 7th and just four points from 2nd now. Makoto Nakamura
December 2009 A perfect month and now we're in 2nd with a game in hand but we're already ten points behind AXA. We're also through to the Semi Final of the Les James Cup where we'll face Chipping Sodbury.
Jimbokav1971
So it's a Youth only save. And a retro save. If you could have just given it a silly name and turned it into a journeyman save at some point you could have won all the awards in 1 thread this year! 😂 Your alphabet thread is too fast-paced for me. Mich as I love following your threads I just can't keep up. I will be following this one though. Good luck. 👍

Thanks Jimbo, this thread, even if still fast paced will all be at one club and it will be a long slog trying to get 10 promotions so at least there will be some familiarity each time you/ anyone else pops in. 1 hour ago, markypark14 said: That's Makoto's next challenge then - create a thread which can win as many of the FMCU awards as possible FM21 sorted then. Makoto Nakamura
January 2010 We're now undefeated in sixteen in the league and haven't lost since our FA Vase defeat to Whitley Bay which sees us just six points off top now with a game in hand!
Makoto Nakamura
February 2010 Two more wins put us just one point behind AXA (who later became Cribbs FC) and we've not conceded in ten games now!
Makoto Nakamura
March 2010 And then we lose at home to the team bottom of the table who hadn't won a game since September and falling out of the Les James Cup right before the final, a massive win over Yate Reserves still gives us hope though. Makoto Nakamura
April 2010 Seven points from nine and we've now hit the top of the table and we're four points clear with just three more games to play!
Makoto Nakamura
2009/10 End of Season Review We managed to hold on to win the league but then we lost the playoff narrowly so we'll remain in the 11th tier next season. 2009/10 Best XI Clive Stevens Tom Murphy - Steve Oldfield - Paul North - Mario Holmes Kristian Brooks - Peter Edmunds - John Rhodes (YP0c) - Matthew Shakespeare Richard Hunt (ResD) - Rob Dryden

Makoto Nakamura
2010/11 Pre-Season Just the one win but we did well against teams bigger than ourselves. We lost 6 players who didn't play last season.
Makoto Nakamura
August 2010 A very good start to the league now sees us going twelve league games without conceding and we're through to the 2nd round of the Les James Cup where we'll face Yate Reserves. We lost Steve Oldfield to a 10th tier side so at least he's made a step up. We also scored this peach of a long range goal! Makoto Nakamura
September 2010 A busy month and we're through to face Alsager in the 1st Round of the FA Vase after banking £1,700 in prize money from the competition so far, in the league we're still unbeaten and are top of the table by two points! We also scored another long range effort but this was more goalkeeper error... Long Range vs Wells FA Vase.mp4
Makoto Nakamura
October 2010 Out of the FA Vase a round earlier than last season but we're still doing very well, even after our first league defeat of the season. We lost both our 1st and 3rd choice GK, we also lost our scout to AFC Telford.

Makoto Nakamura
November 2010 A much poorer month with us only picking up four points, but we're still clinging on to the top spot. We lost two more starting defenders, which means we're basically using an entirely difference defensive line than the one that started the season. Makoto Nakamura
December 2010 By no means an exciting month and we fall down to 2nd after being defeated by Ellwood but we're through to the Les James Cup Semi Final where we'll face 2nd from bottom side Sidlesham. Makoto Nakamura
March 2011 A perfect month and we've re-hit top of the table! We're also through to our first cup final as we face Frilsham in the Les James Cup Final!

Makoto Nakamura
2010/11 End of Season Review Promoted to the 10th tier! There was a problem in clubs not moving to the correct league or even being placed in the right league to start, but if it works correctly then we'll be either in the West Midlands League Premier Division or in the Hellenic League Division One West next season. Overall Best XI 2010/11 Best XI Clive Stevens Tom Murphy - John Rhodes (YP0c) - Paul North - Paul Gray (YP1a) Matthew Williams (YP1c) - Peter Edmunds - Darren Man (YP1e) - Mario Holmes Richard Hunt (ResD) - Sam Hughes
