Dexter_Morgan Posted February 25, 2018 Author Share Posted February 25, 2018 Club Atletico River Plate April - December 2035 Herrera was brought in for £1,3M in the transfer window to steady the defence a little I was going to sign him on a Bosman but decided half a season now for that amount was a bargain in all honesty and we were a little short with only 2 CB's fit at one point, the tactic is always going to mean we let a lot in but my attitude to this is just buy the best players possible at the back and hope it tightens up a little If winning 2 major trophies in my first season isn't impressive enough then the 258 goals in 44 games so far must be (139 conceded though ). I honestly put this as my favourite season so far, I was so in to it when I got the chance to play I didn't want to stop and write the report A few changes to key positions and obviously a really attacking line up seemed to do wonders for the side, having 3 players on 40 goals or over is almost unheard of and I can't help but wonder just how many Camacho would have got in Peru if I kept this tactic because he (and Farfan as well) have taken to the step up in quality like a duck to water. The season has gone so well he and myself have already made the favoured personnel list which is some doing at a club with a history like River. There's not going to be many signings this window unless we lose people, any made are more for the future as we had a decent youth intake too I'm pretty sure that a few of this will make it in time and there's already interest in a few of them so if not then there's a profit to be made. Comesana came in for £1.4m at the end of the season from Los Andes (no i've never heard of them either ) but he is already a starter there and i'll probably look to loan him straight out. Martinez came for £2.5M at the same time for £2.5m from San Martin and has done well in their first team too again i'll probably look to loan him out if I can can keep hold of Farfan as Lucanera has been a good replacement when i've need to rest Farfan or he's been away with Peru. Molina is also on the way in from Sport Boys and he's looking excellent already after spending a year in their first team I'm genuinely excited about this one, his main position is AMC but he can play all across the front and has managed 18 goals already in Peru from there, if I can get the best out him we'll certainly have some player on our hands for the future, i'll hopefully get 20 games out of him or possibly more as AMC is one position I do need a long term player in there as Christian Otreras is 33 and I may even just sell him this year and put Molina in first choice. It's not realistic and I know that (I think in my due update I lost a game 9-7 and last year I won by something close) because the match engine can't handle it. I'd seriously like to know before I carry on more in all honesty because it's getting to rugby scores and I don't want it ruining the readers enjoyment seeing this kind of thing as the norm. From a personal point of view I like seeing us score a lot and enjoy the fact the games aren't boring but 52 shots on goal (37 on target) in the last game I played means there's got to be a bit of discussion about it for the readers too because it isn't normal even though i've had high scoring teams in the past saves it's never usually this big unless a poor league and even then i've done 4 at the back and 2 midfielders. I'll leave the thread open for a day or 2 and see what people think, in certain leagues you can get away with this kind of score all the time but 6-4's each week isn't normal and it's been happening too much now that i'd rather stop than readers thinking this a load of rubbish (happy to upload the tactic so they could see though ) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dexter_Morgan Posted March 1, 2018 Author Share Posted March 1, 2018 Club Atletico River Plate February - July 2036 No extra players came in but I let a few older players go to cut the wage bill down and promote a couple of youngsters, a few went out on loan with a view to coming in to the squad next year too. Delighted with the way it's gone in term of form, I did point out that even I think the scores are getting stupid each now and I do want some input on that still but for now i'm going to carry the season on like it and then make a decision as I have a few options i'd like to make in a separate post. After a slow start i've moved Camacho to the complete forward role instead of the poacher role he's had so far in his career and he's exceled there and with at least 15 more games left of the domestic season and the CWC to come he should be looking at his best season yet if he keeps free of injury. Molina has also been excellent since his move from Peru and has already beaten his tally of last season from the AMC position, Domenez, Lopez and Rezzano have been their usual selves chipping in with plenty of goals, Rezzano will be sold at the end of the season to make way for a younger player and slash the wage bill a little as that seems to be getting higher each week with players (rightly) wanting rises. We don't really make a lot money so selling a few each year is the only way we can really keep ourselves around the £15M mark. 7-8 years of not winning anything has probably paid a part in us not making as much but it does seem harder to make money in Argentina than in Brazil also. The aim for the season with the Copa Libertadores in the bag is to regain our title and probably have to beat PSG for the CWC I may review my position at the end of the season if a suitable team in Brazil is available, that isn't really because I am bored at River but in game i'm 55 now (soon to be 56) and I think 65 is about the right age to retire so with 2/3 years in Brazil it'd leave me 7 years in Europe before that date and I want to get to at least 1 of Spain and Germany as a big nation (i'm not including France as i'm tempted to do a RC Lens save as a separate project and may actually buy FM18 to do that rather than an older game) and then one of Portugal, Holland, Belgium and Turkey as a slightly lower nation as I don't really touch any of those leagues in recent years due to the Iron Curtain saves i'd been doing since FM12. I could scrap the tactic after this year as an option and revert to a 3-2-3-2 formation which at least would calm it down at the other end, the other option is to say i've taken the **** with it for a few years now and stop it dead.
