[Suggestion] Further Financial Projections

Clubs allow the spending of money that may result in a loss overall, particularly in terms of transfer fees/wages. It would be good if there were some forecasts included that were a "profitable" transfer budget & wage budget forecast. It could serve as a useful guide for players who either wish to be more frugal or wish to be more in the mind towards investing in facilities in the future. It's generally not too difficult a forecast to make, as assuming your last season figures were not atypical, you can look at the sponsorship, season ticket, TV income, prize money & gate receipts etc (basically everything but transfer income) as a sort of baseline for what money the club has coming in and adjust this projection from there.

But you're a Football Manager not the clubs accountant and we as Football Managers in FM already see far more than a real FM would. Basically you get a budget if the club goes into debt than it's the board and owner who's responsible. There are so many aspects of running a Club the game leaves out or hides in the background for the board to deal with.

Why some want it to become a Financial Management Sim makes me wonder what got them interested in a Football Game in the first place. Next they will want to add the Football regulation list of requirements, the leagues in rules on minimum facility needed.

It's far and away from being a financial sim, its information that is perfectly possible for a person to work out of their own accord just by using the companies house website irl and it provides an extra level of information. We already do this for every premier league club at least in FM, because club accounts are discussed during every research period with the head researcher.

I know if I've got 52m a year in sponsorship, 104m in TV revenue, 26m in gate receipts and 13m in season tickets that means the club can afford a wage budget of around £3.75m a week. It's straight forward math, this information is all there already so why not use it to have an ingame calculator for what the clubs sustainable wage budget is compared to its current one.

Whether its quite right or wrong, its literally just a matter of essentially being a sum of your regular and quite steady level of incomes so something akin to in excel:

(B4 + C4 + E4 + F4) / 52

It only takes a couple of minutes to work out anyhow, just seems like it would be an interesting tidbit to have on your finances screen.
