MasterF
I have a question which might be related to football regulations. I've recently signed some young players that will only join my club in 2-3 years time. Unfortunately, I haven't noticed this before signing the contract (I think the date was set to first available or something like that). Considering the date it seems I have to wait for them to turn 18. I'm managing Steaua Bucharest (Romanian first league - EU member). I noticed this behavior with Turkish players and some other non-EU states. I've managed to sign EU players immediately. So, is there a rule that prevents me from signing non-EU players until they're 18? Also, as far as I remember, one of the players I signed will only join my club in 3 years time, but he only signed a 2 year contract so it will expire by the time he joins... I don't know if that's a bug... but I think I just wasted over 13 M euros on a wonderkid I'll never get. milnerpoint
His contract with you will start from the date he signs, not from now, so when you get him, he will be on a 2 year deal.
Cougar2010
Some countries (eg Brazil) won't let their young players move abroad until they turn 18yo unless they have a second nationality which matches the country they are moving to.
