bolulu
So, I'm in the German 2nd. Div., it's the third game year & in an attempt to build up the quality if the 1st. team I've kind of diminished all my reserve & youth squad. This year I finished 5th. in the league but managed to win the German Cup. Great! Sadly, when informing me of the squad requirements for Euro competition, it (of course) states that I will require at least four "home grown" players but in the whole squad I now only have two in the club! So what the hell am I going to do when it come to naming the Euro squad? I can't very well recruit "home grown players between now & then. Will the game just find a way to let me play? Anyone had this situation before?
drtrick
You can leave gaps in your squad selection to compensate for your lack of home grown players, so you'd need to leave two places empty.
bolulu
Really? I never thought of that. Something for me to avoid in the future though when I'm clearing out the dross.
Oxford_Canary
I had exactly this problem when I won the FA Cup with Norwich. I had to play all my Europa League games with a 17 man squad which wasn't too much fun.
poola21
so instead of registering 25 players you register only

bolulu
Not so much of a problem this year since we are 2nd. Div. & only expecting to to learn from the experience in the Euro. I'll learn to not get shot of all my Home Grown players in future.
marty78
Also a good reason to buy 16 year olds with high potential. They will be your next home-grown players unless you are lucky enough to produce your own regularly.
