dozo
Hey guys - I've created a massive World League for FM 2008! It is based on a 6 tier system based in England, starting from the World Premier League, followed by World Championship League, World Division One, World Division Two, World Conference League, World Conference North & World Conference South. I also added plenty of teams into the Isthmian Premier and Isthmian Northern / Southern Premier so relegations and promotions to and from Conf. North / South will still keep the structure of the World League intact, and the World FA Cup (formerly the FA Cup) will also contain international teams. I changed most non-EU countries to be EU one's so there are no conflicts regarding foreign players (e.g. Brazilian, Argentinian teams etc.) Here are the line-ups of the leagues. These are based on FM's team rating (out of 10000) within their database: World Premier League A.C. Milan Arsenal Barcelona Benfica Boca Juniors Chelsea FC Bayern Inter Juventus Liverpool Man Utd Lyon Porto Real Madrid River Plate Roma Sao Paulo Sevilla Sporting CP Valencia World Championship League Ajax America (MEX) Atletico Madrid Celtic Chivas CSKA Moscow Deportivo Dinamo Kiev Espanyol Fenerbahce Fiorentina Galatasaray Gremio HSV Internacional Lazio Marseille Palermo PSV Rangers Schalke Villarreal Werder Bremen Zaragoza World League One Anderlecht AS Monaco Atheltic Bilbao AZ Betis Bordeaux Cruz Azul Cruzeiro Dortmund Feyenoord Getafe Hertha BSC Independiente Leverkusen Newcastle Olympiakos Osasuna Palmeiras PSG Pumas Sampdoria Santos Shakhtar Tottenham World League Two AJ Auxerre Aston Villa Besiktas Celta Club Brugge Dinamo Bucharest Everton FC Copenhagen Fluminense Levski Sofia Mallorca Man City Napoli Nurnberg Panathanaikos Partizan Racing Club Red Star San Lorenzo Spartak Moscow Steaua Stuttgart Udinese West Ham World Conference League AEK AS Saint Etienne Beitar Jerusalem Blackburn Bolton Botafogo Braga Corinthians FC Twente Flamengo Grasshopper Heerenveen Middlesbrough Pachuca Parma Racing Rapid RC Lens Real Sociedad Recreativo Sparta Prague Toluca Torino Vasco World Conference North (not exactly 'Northern teams but I kept the name - any alternative ideas gratefully received!!) Atalanta Atlas Basel CFR Cluj CSKA Sofia Dinamo (Croatia) Empoli FC Sochaux Frankfurt Hannover Lille Livorno Lokomotiv Moscow Maccabi Haifa Monterrey Portsmouth Rennes Salzburg Standard Liege Tigres Velez Wolfsburg World Conference South (again - any other names - thanx!) Atlante Atletico Mineiro Austria Wien Boavista Brondby Catania Estudiantes (LP) Genoa Koln Levante Litex Morelia Nantes Necaxa Roda JC Rosenborg Santos Laguna Slavia Prague Trabzonspor Valladolid Veracruz Zenit Petersburg Phew!!! There we go - I'll leave out the Isthmian for the time being lol Any ideas, tips, comments, suggestions please bring 'em on! ruttiger_ruttiger
From the list of teams it seems incredibly Euro and Sth American...what about Africa, Asia, Nth America and Oceania. We all play the game and we aren't too bad at it. In fact Europe is basically an African league these days anyway. In any world league the basic money coming from New YOrk, Sydney, Beijing or Tokyo would completely overwhelm teams like Portsmouth or AZ Alkmaar and they would be certain to get a spot in the league. I reccommend you have a look at the original Rollerball movie to get an idea of what i mean.

Guest wookie20
hmm not sure what league you would put any aussie teams in tbh from the few that are shown. There is a big gap from the the teams that play in europe and south america to the rest of the world. Any aussies or americans (players) that are worth talking about already play in europe. Suppose you could show the Isthmian leagues to please all . To the rollerball comment your top amreican and aussie teams would be the strugglers in any elite league if one was created regardless of prestige , wealth or location. We are decades away from seeing any elite league outside of europe, brazil or agentina. There are a few quality african players around right now, but to say europe is an african league you are joking right. There isnt that many. Looks a good idea ill give it a try. 2000AD
Someone called DMCP is trying to take credit for your work over at CM frenzy: http://cmfrenzy.com/football_manager_2008/fm_2008_gener...league_download.html He's even had the nerve to just copy and paste your post here and add a bit to the end. Paz-CCFC
Instead of North and South you could have Western Hemisphere and Eastern Hemisphere? Or else maybe European and non-European? Here's some suggestions for Cup names: FIFA Cup instead of World FA Cup World League Cup instead of Football League Cup FIFA Trophy instead of FA Trophy All in all, it sounds like a good league. Nicely done

dozo
Just want to clarify for everyone to guarantee that the database works correctly. 1. Download the Filefront or Sendafile database. 2. Select the database when requested. 3. CHOOSE ENGLISH LEAGUES ONLY, no alternative leagues, no 'view-only' leagues - just ENGLAND. That should do it! Just remember...Enjoy!! McLovin
What happens when teams drop out of the World Conference North/South? Are there a load of World Clubs placed in Northern/Southern/Isthmian Premier Leagues to replace them? Or do teams like AFC Wimbledon, Merthyr Tydfil, Gateshead etc etc replace them? Sanityfm
no english teams in the World Championship League.
Igorchete
Since you used Swap teams to do this, all of the club's nationality's are switched to England. This is a big problem, because all of the teams will generate English staff, and English young players. In a few season's time, all of the club's will be full with English players.
