TJJESSE
Should FM ever be on home Consoles? I personally think yes because the ps3 and x-box these days have enough memory to run FM and good built in devices to help run the game probably faster then the pc would. Also it would really end the problem of the 3D match engine simply because PS3's and X-Box's these days have amazing graphics and also run fast but on pc there is alot of people who's graphics and processers are not up to date which always brings complaints to the forums. I also think if LMA can do it If Total Club Manager could do it why can't FM It's a great game. What do you think? Please Discuss
Kickballz
The vast majority of people who want to play the game are happy to do so on PC/Mac and are unlikely to buy the game on a console even if they have one. So there isn't much of a market for the game on a console.
santy001
FM did do it for a while, then stopped. I believe that speaks volumes about it overall really.

Indi75
No, waste of time. Besides it a pointless question: We do think about it.We've previously detailed the reasons why the series is not currently on a console, and those reasons haven't changed. The restrictions of having to work with standard definition TV resolutions which are well below the minimum PC resolution, and the control method available by default left us severely restricted, and we don't believe that the console releases were good enough. These thoughts were solidified with the review scores and the sales of our previous release on the system. The only games for me that have transitioned well from PC to consoles are FPS', Civilisation (with the Revolution version) and Command and Conquer. The former genre had everything it needed in the new control pads, and the latter two were specifically designed for consoles, and very much cut down to their former PC games. We don't want to cut down FM for consoles. And if we did, it would be a massively expensive experiment, one that the likely sales (looking at our previous console releases, and other management titles on consoles) wouldn't pay for. So, at the moment, it's still not something we're looking at. Maybe if next gen consoles go properly mass market, it's something we'll look at. Maybe if someone comes up with a business model that works for MMO's on consoles, we'd look at getting FML on them. But, at the moment, it makes neither financial, nor creative, sense for us to do that. Sorry for the harsh reality, but there's no point skirting around the issues.
