SCIAG
Make sure your players are fit at the start of the season, and rotate them so they don't get tired for the end of the season.
atonement
yeah i rotate and keep everyone fit the problem seems to be more mental than anything yet i make a point of signing determined players and having experienced players in defence and in goal etc its a puzzler
wardog
Do you rotate your defence. If so that could be part of the problem.
atonement
never the centre backs, if ive got a fairly aging wing back i might rest him one in four games
Thebaker
I get the same problem, barely get a point in aug and begining of sep, go through to xmas losing only another 2 games, and tail off by apr. Its not a fitness thing as they are often fitter when they are losing! it has to be a mental thing, confidence maybe.
Timmytom
I get this. But then I dont change to suit the weather. My slick short pass counter attacks are a misery in the wet muddy fields of Wales but its the way I like to play.
rakhabbit
Could be either team understanding or the AI changing it's assesment of your teams threat level fitness/weather's already been covered. but it could also be a combination of 2+ of the above things. Started off averagely (not badly, just drew a lot of games), then made a mid-season charge to 4th in the table. Only needed a win from the last two games to get a playoff place, against a mid-to-low-table team, and yes, you guessed it, lost, and ended up 9th (!). I took it as the computer screwing me out of a play-off place but if tiredness is a factor all the time then fair enough. I wouldn't mind but I did rotate the majority of my squad.
