Kompany or Palombo

this is the squad i have now

im looking for a CB as a replacement for sir carragher.hes 33 now and on the decline. i have narrowd it down to 2 choices which one should i buy?

angelo palombo

he is avaliable for around 18m

or vincent kompany

im leaning slightly more towards palombo because his stats look perfect for replacing carragher

choices?

Kompany. I like young player you know?

Palombo is great at DMC but im too sure about his ability when hes playing as a DC.

ah yeah forgot to post kompany is 35m.

Why not use Sakho or even Luiz?

Palombo is too old to be a replacement for Carra imo. Also Kompany is way too expensive for me.

Even Veloso could do a good job.

So for me, squad is OK already.

palombo out of the two but use sakho and go for someone better. then you have close to the perfect XI

Palombo = great DM, poor CB (poor jumping, poor heading), also getting on.

You've got Luiz, Sakho and Vidal in your squad. The 3 of them turn out out about 10 times better than Kompany or Palombo. Why in Gods name would you not replace Carra with one of them?? They should be looking good enough to replace even Mexes by 2011 tbh.

If you still want to buy for some reason, ditch the two you're thinking about and try for either Havard Nordtveit or Federico Fazio who should both be looking great by now.

I also vote for Vidal or Sakho. If you wanna buy someone Bellaid is usually cheap and he defends great for me.

WHS. You must be nuts. You actually pick two of the worst centre backs in terms of actually being able to head the ball and one of them isn't even a defender. The other is absolutely useless too.

I think you should use one of the players already in your squad, most probably Sakho or Vidal.

He can't, he really can't. He inept in the air, his positioning is awful as is his concentration. His defensive stats don't make up for it enough nor do his mental or physical stats. Useless defender.

Poor heading, decent jumping, decent marking, poor concentration, decent strength, poor positioning and poor aggression are things that make for a good CB mate. And add to that he has a PPM of "gets forward whenever possible" which is a strict no-no for a CB imo. Definitely a poor CB. If you retrain him, he does become a good DM however.

As for Ferdinand, he's not awesome on the game either. He's a good CB but that's expected because he's quicker than Kompany, has better concentration that Kompany and most of all, has a LOT better positioning sense than Kompany. Not to mention, he doesnt have the "gets forward" PPM either.

Sakho is better than the ones mentioned mate. Use him.
