SI Staff Ter Posted March 14, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted March 14, 2011 In the Player > Personal section has anyone seen more than three listed here? I'm sure there must be some bizarre case where a player has three nationalities set in the database and is also eligible for citizenship.
SI Staff Ter Posted March 15, 2011 Author SI Staff Share Posted March 15, 2011 I'll start off then shall I.... The most I've noticed is three. Ikechi Anya at Celta B is eligible for Scotland, Romania and Nigeria.
Pompey1978
Theoretically, it should be possible to see at least 4, based on FIFA's "grandparent" rule. Not that I've ever seen such a thing.
El Zar
Mohamed Tchité has three - Burundi, Belgian and Rwandan - and is eligible for DR Congo.
Ninja Monkey
Pompey1978, In theory could be possible to start with 7 if your include the grandparent rule, as all 4 grandparents could be from different countries. Then the parents from different countries and then the player himself being born in another country. Although this happening in real life I guess would be pretty remote
