crafty bison
Every time England play a friendly, there is a news article telling us the boss is going to experiment with his team. But international managers never do this. Ever. Could they be made to do so, please?
Smoggie
Would be good also if some Premiership teamse fielded weaker teams in the 1st few rounds of the League and Fa cup, like they do in real life.
kezmanjacks
yea id love to see arsenal throw out a young side all through the league cup. hard to program?

I've actually seen teams do this in the game. I played Arsenal in the FA cup I think it was with my Coca Cola League 1 side, and they fielded a B team. Still beat me though . I agree and have said this before. Now and then you get the odd player who is a reserve but never to the extent that it happens in real life. It also makes it impossibel for you to play a reserve team yourself as they will always be up against the 1st team.

Not all of them do. Chelsea fielded fairly strong teams in the League Cup.
Mike7077
International managers definitely need to experiement in friendlies more than they do. I agree with that.

They did it in FM08 but I'm pretty sure they don't in FM09... was your instance in 09?
Sleepydude
Yes, it was in 09, but maybe it was a fluke, they had lots of first teamers injured or something...
outlaw640
I have seen this in 09, I played Man Utd in the League Cup when I was in the championship, they had ronaldo on the bench and played a few of their young reservists.
Dale Gribble
It can't be too hard to code in as already if you take over a big club, they tell you that the league cup isn't a priority and they don't care about the results in it. Perhaps for all clubs which have that stated could field weak teams for those competitions.
