Potential takeover problem

I'm playing as Newcastle at the moment and there seems to be a problem with a pending board takeover.

My takeover talks started in I think Sep 09. It is now Feb 10. Until now there is no news about progress at all. None whatsoever. I'm concerned that the takeover is broken somehow.

Is this normal? Shouldn't I be getting periodic news items about the takeover process? Usually there'll be something about it being smooth or being on the rocks etc. In my game, there is none at all.

Anyone seen this before?

There is someone who wants to buy and the talks have started. The board status is in the process of takeover. It seems to be stuck.

Or do I need to wait? How long does it usually take?

I just had one with Perugia, took around two months. I'd just wait, I think it will probably gfo through eventually.

Just wait. They don't always happen quickly. I had one at Rangers in Scotland at it took several months which was actually disapointing because the transfer window opened during this time and I wasn't allowed to get any new players.

I had one with man u, it took about 3 months at the end of the season. I had no updates about the progress, then suddenly the deal was done.........and then got £150 million transfer fund!!

you could wait and find talks collapse. Happens in real life. You may find the takeover proceeds and the new owners sack you as they want their own man in charge
