I have Vista on my laptop and my FM08 installs and runs fine, I don't know if this may help but if you can download more Vista updates (Service packs) then that may help, I presume that being a new laptop you have not updated Vista? Maybe thats the problem?

Navie
cheers dude - where do i view installation logs? I'm not sure to be honest but if you goto 'Start' then to 'Control Panel' then to 'Problem Reports and Solutions' there may be something in there for you unless it has nothing to do with games. sleepwalkingpolarbear
Try installing to a different folder, like 'Sportsinteractive1'
Neji
Try playing the game and see if it works. I've seen a few people on here with that error have perfectly fine games.
busby
I believe the error is actually just a warning generated by the fact your running a 64 bit OS at a ruff guess. It technically only a warning and should run no problem.
crafty bison
OP - exactly the same for me. I ignored it and played the game; 16 Days of playing time later it still works just fine!

Jorgecelticfc
I had the same problem, try tunning your data editor. That never worked for me, so always relied on updates from the community. I was told Vsita Home only supports upto 4GB, so took the 96mb of that was excess and reinstalled the game and had no errors, also noticed the memory thing with a few other games. But try updating, it may help.

Scotty Walds
I believe the error is with creating shortcuts, which you can do yourself... (was with me)
