Technique
Would it be possible to buy a desktop in this price range that can handle playing FM on 3D at a decent level with no lag or choppiness? Some reccommendations would be great.
Welshace
lol easily... do you need an OS or monitor etc? basically... anything on here would do tbh http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/
Chalky1989
Most will do it. I've got a laptop that I got for about 400 quid about a year and a half ago and it runs 3D at a decent level, so if you were to buy a desktop, almost any would be good for that price range. Welshace
anything pretty much will run the 3d... integrated or dedicated graphics cards these days are all superb and more than enough... the only people who are having issues with running 3d are those will older tech ... but buy the best you can afford and you're sorted
dfa120374
If you spend £500-£600 on a PC then it should definitely run the game without any problems at all. My wife bought a Dell Inspiron 530S round about March in 2009 and it was just running on the basic integrated Intel graphics chipset on the motherboard. I managed to play FM2010 and FM2011 with no problems (the 3D graphics had to be at their lowest though). Getting tired of the crappy onboard graphics chipset though I bought a new GeForce GT 520 a couple of weeks ago and I tried running FM2012. In the display settings I have two and a half stars for the 3D rating but I don't have any lag, choppiness and run everything at full. In short, if it's a brand new PC worth between £500-£600 then you shouldn't have a problem at all.
slipknot67
Yohttp://www.ebuyer.com/251310-zoostorm-desktop-7873-1036 u could get this and save yourself a couple of hundred £'s (even with having to buy the o.s seperately). It'll defo run 3d as I'm using it for FM12 right now.
