Goals from DFKs

So SI have fixed the lack of goals from DFKs. The problem (for me, at least) is that the increased goals appear to all be scored against me. Prior to the patch, I went through several seasons without a single goal from DFK against me. Now, half-way through my first post-patch season with no change in set piece tactics, 31% of all Premier League goals from DFKs were goals against my 4th place Newcastle side. Is this something wonky with the patched 3d match engine or is there something horribly flawed with my set piece instructions?

The man on the post is a no-no for me, you're inviting the opposition to get a lot closer to your goal by playing them onside.

That's a good point, but all of the goals have just been fired directly into the net, not as a result of headers, volleys, etc.

Hmm... you say you've gone several seasons without a single DFK scored against you, which means you're several seasons in :confused:

Then, I'm quite impressed with the fact that your starting eleven resembles the current Newcastle side so much. It's like you never exploited the broken transfer system. Kudos on keeping it real...

My only tip for you is: don't give fouls close to the box. Maybe get a keeper with good positioning too; Tim Krul is so average.

OK, I followed the advice here and I'm still the victim of about a third of all EPL goals from DFKs. Is anyone else experiencing this disparity or is it just my horrible luck?

I'm not really conceding any DFK's, but I can *never* score any And that's with Roberto Carlos and Beckham in the team! They just seem to slam into the wall or fly wide.

Sounds pretty accurate for Roberto Carlos, despite his reputation he has always had a dismal free kick conversion record IRL.
