Processing speed: FM 2010 vs FM 2011

A friend of mine with a several-year old Dell PC - and one which he never defrags or virus checks! - tells me that he's comfortably running FM 2011. Yet, I see on this forum that people are complaining about the speed of FM 2011. So, in your opinion, does FM 2011 play more quickly than FM 2010?

Fm 2011 runs more smooth here..

The difference people are seeing have to do with their processors. Cores make a difference, as well as L3 cache.

FM 11 is much quicker than FM 10 in processing and loading for me

yup..fm 2011 is quicker for me too,was well surprised.even the match engine i can now play smoothly with stadium and crowds and weather,on low settings though but im not complaining

the match engine seems smoother but the actual game itself takes ages to load up (around 5 mins or so ) when on the 'loading' multi-language screen and then is pretty slow when continuing.

Have found that I need to run far less leagues than I did in FM10. Not sure whats holding my computer back but it's alot slower.

2011 seems a little faster to be fair, but speed is relative to individual expectation.

2011 is significantly faster on my system than 2010.

After I got my i7 930 I haven't noticed too big of a difference on either. FM 2011 does run faster on particular functions for sure though.

Interesting results at the moment. Almost as many think that FM 2010 is faster than 2011, as do 2011 is faster than 2010.

So much for consensus!
