The tactics you play are pointless....

I am Reading in first season in the prem, first game of season away to Arsenal.

I decide to try to hit them on the counter, I end up 3-1 down at half time.

Second half I try to have a go, control/push up etc, 15 mins in im 5-1 down.

So as I was extremely ****ed off, I set it to contain, just try to soften to blow. Very Rigid, more disciplined, stick to position, deep, narrow slow, play even safer. Etc.

Final result 5-3.

So on contain I won 2-0.

How does that work?

by that time arsenal have taken their foot off the gas and you get two lucky breaks, thats football for you.

Perhaps your team plays better when they are given much stricter tactics.

To be honest you should be employing those kind of tactics when playing much bigger clubs most of the time.

Generic tactic settings, no comment on match prep, first game of first season against a top club.

What exactly do you expect? For the game to just let you win with no effort?
