semi pro

hi guys,

just a quick question. just taken over a semi pro side. If i offer all players full time contracts do they change to professional?

I wouldn't class them as professional footballers, but that will be their full time job yes. So they'll have more time training etc.

Yes, players on full time contracts are professional, rather than semi-professional, players.

I think the OP meant will the club become Pro?

I believe that this is based on the teams rep as opposed to employment status of staff. So improve the rep anbd the club will become pro.

If I am wrong somebody please correct me.

Becoming a pro club depends on a lot things ie contracts, reputation, how much the money the club has.

chairman ambition might have something to do with it.

I know that if you get promoted to league 2 you turn a pro club and some teams might get relegated and stay pro but you won't see many pro clubs in BSS/BSN and lower because of what I have already said.

On topic as mentioned the give everybody a pro contract doesn't work in this years version, it is based on reputation

The board turns your club pro, nobody else.
